A Study on Web-based code generation for component reuse
Sung-Ho Sim,Han-Yong Choi 중소기업융합학회 2015 중소기업융합학회 국제학술대회논문집 Vol.2 No.1
Developed of block shape components have focused on a variety needs. To develop the high quality software at low cost, it is necessary the methodology of systematic reuse using the generated component from different system. The conventional of legacy system is designed by the reconstruction of used component in the engineering part. However, the conventional system does not utilize the component actively. Because of the classification of component is not enough that does not realize the function and structure of component easily. In this paper, we proposed the generate method of component which is based on the web to reuse the component. To generate a method of component classification structure, the proposed system is able to provide the flexible structure using WSDL with searching the classification from web-environment, which is possible to reuse the component efficiently.
Capturing research trends in structural health monitoring using bibliometric analysis
Sung-Han Sim,Han-Gyun Woo,Jaesun Yeom,Seunghoo Jeong 국제구조공학회 2022 Smart Structures and Systems, An International Jou Vol.29 No.2
As civil infrastructure has continued to age worldwide, its structural integrity has been threatened owing to material deteriorations and continual loadings from the external environment. Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) has emerged as a cost-efficient method for ensuring structural safety and durability. As SHM research has gradually addressed an increasing number of structure-related problems, it has become difficult to understand the changing research topic trends. Although previous review papers have analyzed research trends on specific SHM topics, these studies have faced challenges in providing (1) consistent insights regarding macroscopic SHM research trends, (2) empirical evidence for research topic changes in overall SHM fields, and (3) methodological validations for the insights. To overcome these challenges, this study proposes a framework tailored to capturing the trends of research topics in SHM through a bibliometric and network analysis. The framework is applied to track SHM research topics over 15 years by identifying both quantitative and relational changes in the author keywords provided from representative SHM journals. The results of this study confirm that overall SHM research has become diversified and multi-disciplinary. Especially, the rapidly growing research topics are tightly related to applying machine learning and computer vision techniques to solve SHM-related issues. In addition, the research topic network indicates that damage detection and vibration control have been both steadily and actively studied in SHM research.

Background: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a common hair loss disease with genetic predisposition among men and women, and it may commence at any age after puberty. It may significantly affect a variety of psychological and social aspects of one`s life and the individual`s overall quality of life (QoL). Objective: This study aimed to investigate the QoL of AGA patients and discover the factors that can influence the QoL of AGA patients, including previous experience in non-medical hair care, reasons for hospital visits, age, duration, and the severity of AGA. Methods: A total of 998 male patients with AGA were interviewed, using the Hair Specific Skindex-29 to evaluate the QoL of AGA patients. Results: The results of the Hair Specific Skindex-29 on patients with AGA were as follows: symptom scale: 26.3±19.5, function scale: 24.0±20.1, emotion scale: 32.1±21.8, and global score: 27.3±19.1. According to this assessment, QoL was more damaged if the patient had severe alopecia, a longer duration of AGA, younger age, had received previous non-medical hair care, and visited the hospital for AGA treatment. Conclusion: This study showed that AGA could harmfully affect the patients` QoL. These findings indicate that dermatologists should address these QoL issues when treating patients with alopecia.

Postbuckling analyses and derivations of Knockdown factors for hybrid-grid stiffened cylinders
Sim, Chang-Hoon,Park, Jae-Sang,Kim, Han-Il,Lee, Ye-Lin,Lee, Keejoo Elsevier 2018 AEROSPACE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.82 No.-
<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this work, postbuckling behaviors of grid-stiffened cylinders under compressive loads are examined in an attempt to establish an analytical method to derive the shell Knockdown factor for space launch vehicle structures. Two grid systems using stiffeners – traditional orthogrid and hybrid-grid systems – are considered for the stiffened cylinders. The hybrid-grid system consists of major and minor stiffeners, which have two different cross-sectional sizes. Additionally, the baseline and minimum weight models are considered for each grid-stiffened cylinder model. The single perturbation load approach is used to represent the geometrical imperfection of cylinders. A commercial finite element analysis code, ABAQUS, is used for the postbuckling analyses. The present numerical simulations investigate the global and local instabilities for both stiffened cylinders using orthogrid and hybrid-grid systems. The global buckling load for the hybrid-grid stiffened cylinder is higher than that for the traditional orthogrid stiffened cylinder for both the baseline and minimum weight models. However, the postbuckling behaviors for the hybrid-grid stiffened cylinders are more complex, as compared to those for the orthogrid stiffened cylinders. Additionally, the shell Knockdown factors are derived using obtained numerical analysis results for the grid-stiffened cylinders. Since the shell Knockdown factor of the hybrid-grid stiffened cylinder is higher than that of the traditional orthogrid stiffened cylinders for both the baseline and minimum weight models, the hybrid-grid stiffened cylinder is more efficient in terms of the buckling design when compared to a traditional orthogrid stiffened cylinder. Furthermore, the derived Knockdown factors in the present work are higher than the values by NASA's buckling design criteria.</P>
