터보부호를 채용한 QPSK/OFDM 시스템의 성능 분석

In this paper, we have simulated the performance of QPSK/OFDM system with 1/3 turbo coding under AWGN(Additive White Gaussian Noise), indoor channel or doppler shift. The system adapted (3,1,4) turbo encoder as channel coding method, OFDM with subcarrier 64 as modulation technique, and QPSK as mapping method. In the doppler shift, we changed to value of doppler frequency 46 ㎐(mobile velocity 10 ㎞/h) and 92 ㎐(mobile velocity 20 ㎞/h). Then we looked at coding effect of channel coding and decoding method. As a result of simulation, in case that the iterative decoding of QPSK/OFDM system adopt turbo encoder in the indoor channel was done about three times, efficiency was demanded about 2.7㏈ when BER is 10^-3 and about 5 ㏈ when BER is 10.3 ㏈. When the doopler frequency is 46 ㎐, efficiency was demanded about 7.9 ㏈ in case that BER is 10^-3 and about 10 ㏈ in case that BER is 10^-5. And when the doppler frequency is 92 ㎐, efficiency was demanded about 17 ㏈ in case that BER is 10^-3 and about 23.7 ㏈ in case that BER is 10^-5. As the doppler frequency is high, in spite of having the high E_b/N_o in the coding gain graph, the error flow whose efficiency wasn't advanced came out.
룸머 페이딩 채널에서 길쌈부호를 채용한 BPSK/OFDM 시스템의 성능 분석

In this paper, we have simulated the performance of BPSK/OFDM system with 1/2 convolution coding under AWGN(Additive White Gaussian Noise) Rummler fading channel. The system adapted (2,1,7) convolution encoder as channel coding method, OFDM with subcarrier 64 as modulation technique, and BPSK as mapping method. In the Rummler fading channel, delay time is set 1, original signal is decremented during direct-path signal passing through multipath as factor of this, we changed to value of attenuation of the multipath component.(0.3, 0.6 and 0.9) Then we looked at coding effect of channel coding and decoding method. As a result of simulation, when multipath component is 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 in the BER=10^-3, we obtained the results that the coding effect of this system is about each 3㏈, 4㏈, and 9㏈ through the coding methods. And then by using soft decision as decoding we method obtained the better performance of each about 2㏈, 3㏈, and 5.5㏈ than hard decision. Also, when BER is 10^-5, we obtained the results that the coding effect of this system are each about 5㏈, 5.5㏈, 10㏈ through the coding methods. And then by using soft decision as decoding method obtained the better performance of each 2.5㏈, 3.5㏈ and 6.5㏈ than hard decision.

<P>The present study was conducted to characterize the polyphenolic contents of lettuce leaves grown under different night-time temperatures (4, 12, and 20 °C) and cultivation durations (5, 15, and 20 days) using high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). The assay method was validated based on specificity, linearity, accuracy, precision, and the performance limit. The total polyphenolic contents were highest (2462.6 mg/kg) after transplantation at a night temperature of 20 °C on day 20 and lowest (1132.7 mg/kg) at the same temperature on day 5. Quantification and principal component analysis showed that the relative contents of quercetin and kaempferol were markedly higher during the early stage of cultivation (day 5) than those of day 15 and 20, and that night-time temperatures of 12 and 20 °C on day 20 were favorable for producing polyphenol-rich lettuce containing caffeic acid. In conclusion, a synergistic effect between high night-time temperatures (12 and 20 °C) and cultivation duration (20 days) produced lettuce rich in polyphenols compared to that at low temperature (4 °C).</P>

In monsoon climates, persistent shade is a troublesome weather condition with an impact on the growth and yield of corn (Zea mays L.). We imposed 7, 14, 21, and 28 days of consecutive shade (CS) on Gwangpyeongok and P3394 corn hybrids at the beginning of the kernel filling stages. Shade had little impact on leaf area and dry matter accumulation in the stem and leaves. However, dry matter accumulation in the ear was severely reduced by approximately 28% and 53% after 14 and 28 days of CS, respectively. For the components of grain yield, 7 and 14 days of shade did irreparable damage to the number of filled kernels, the kernel number per ear row, and the percent of filled kernels, but did little damage or reversible damage after removal of the shade to the 100-grain weight and the row number per ear. Shade significantly reduced the relative growth rate (RGR) due to a decrease in the net assimilation rate (NAR). These results suggest that source activity limitation by shade during the kernel filling stages leads to the inhibition of sink activity and size. The yield of biomass, ear, and grain logistically declined as the length of CS increased. Probit analysis revealed that the number of days of CS needed to cause 25% and 50% reductions in grain yield were 3.7 and 23.1, respectively. These results suggest that the plant yield loss induced by shade at the beginning of the kernel filling stages is mainly achieved within the first 7 days of consecutive shade.
Subcloning and Sequencing of β-Xylosidase Gene of Alkalophilic Bacillus sp. K17

The 5.0kb insert of pAX278, which was previously cloned, was reduced by various deletion and thus I. 4kb EcoRI-XbaI fragment was recloned into pUC19(pAK208). To increase β-xylosidase activity, the I. 4kb insert in pAK208 was recloned into expression vector, pKK223-3 (tac-promoter), and β-xylosidase activity in cell carring this plasmid (pKHR212) was increased was 3.5 times than that in pAX278. The complete nucleotide sequence of thermophilic alkalopilic Bacillus sp. K17 and its flanking regions were established. A 1263-bp open reading frame for β-xylosidase was observed. The molecular weight(50, 521 dalton) deduced from for β-xylosidase gene, was agreed with the result obtained by SDS-polyacry-lamide gel electrophoresis of the purified enzyme. The Shine-Dalgarno sequence was found-8 bp upstream of the initiation codon ATG. The 1-10 regions for promotor sequence of β-xylosidase gene were similar to the consensus sequence for B. subtilis RNA polymerase, and the-35 regions were different from all the known promotor for B. subtilis RNA polymerase.

The extracellular xylanase produced by E. coli HB101 carrying pAX113, which contains the xylanase I gene of thermophilic alkalophilic Bacillus K-17, was purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation, DEAE-Sephadex A-50 column chromatography, CM-Sepadex C-50 column chromatograhy and Sephadex G-100 gel filtration. The purified enzyme had a molecular weight of 23,000. The pH and temperature optima for its activities were 6.5 and 65℃, respectively. The enzyme retained full activity after incubation at 60℃ for 1hr or at pH 5-9 for 24 hr. The Km value of the enzyme was 4.65 mg-xylan/ml. These enzymatic properties of the xylanase were almost the same as those of xylanase I. Furthermore, we could purify a larger amount of xylanase from E. coli than from thermophilic alkalophilic BacillusK-17.
Revascularization of Inferior Epigastric Island Flap with Limited Bed Contact

Island flaps have been widely used for the management of soft tissue defects in reconstructive surgery. The necrosis of the flap has been a catastrophe in clinical fields. It is well known that revascularization to the flap after ligation of its pedicle comes from the recipient bed and flap margins. The authors investigated the effects of the ischmic recipient bed on island flap survival after the ligation of its pedicle in the rats. One hundred and thirty inferior epigastric island flaps were divided into three groups (Group I, Group II, and Group III) according to the degree(0%, 20% and 60%) of interruption of contract of flap with the recipient bed, respectively. In Group I, the vascular pedicle were ligated on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th days after flap elevation. Flap survival was assessed on the 3rd day after pedicle ligation. Microangiographic studies were also performed on the 3rd day after pedicle ligation to study revascularization within the flap and the change of blood vessels around the flap margins. The results were as follows: 1. Flap survival was increased significantly in the flaps with pedicle ligation on the 4th and 5th postoperative days compared to those at there 2nd and 3rd postoperative days. 2. From the 3rd postoperative day, flap survival was not influedced significantly by the degree of limited bed contract and the date of pedicle ligation. 3. In spite of limited bed contract, the flap will likely survive with abundant neovascularization from the flap margins. In conclusion, the flaps with limited bed contact were revascularized significantly from the flap margin by the 3rd postoperative day.
