Vehicle trajectory prediction based on Hidden Markov Model

( Ning Ye ),( Yingya Zhang ),( Ruchuan Wang ),( Reza Malekian ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2016 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.10 No.7

In Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), logistics distribution and mobile e-commerce, the real-time, accurate and reliable vehicle trajectory prediction has significant application value. Vehicle trajectory prediction can not only provide accurate location-based services, but also can monitor and predict traffic situation in advance, and then further recommend the optimal route for users. In this paper, firstly, we mine the double layers of hidden states of vehicle historical trajectories, and then determine the parameters of HMM (hidden Markov model) by historical data. Secondly, we adopt Viterbi algorithm to seek the double layers hidden states sequences corresponding to the just driven trajectory. Finally, we propose a new algorithm (DHMTP) for vehicle trajectory prediction based on the hidden Markov model of double layers hidden states, and predict the nearest neighbor unit of location information of the next k stages. The experimental results demonstrate that the prediction accuracy of the proposed algorithm is increased by 18.3% compared with TPMO algorithm and increased by 23.1% compared with Naive algorithm in aspect of predicting the next k phases` trajectories, especially when traffic flow is greater, such as this time from weekday morning to evening. Moreover, the time performance of DHMTP algorithm is also clearly improved compared with TPMO algorithm.

      • Giant Volume Change of Active Gels under Continuous Flow

        Zhang, Ye,Zhou, Ning,Li, Ning,Sun, Megan,Kim, Dongshin,Fraden, Seth,Epstein, Irving R.,Xu, Bing American Chemical Society 2014 JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY - Vol.136 No.20

While living systems have developed highly efficient ways to convert chemical energy (e.g., ATP hydrolysis) to mechanical motion (e.g., movement of muscle), it remains a challenge to build muscle-like biomimetic systems to generate mechanical force directly from chemical reactions. Here we show that a continuous flow of reactant solution leads to by far the largest volume change to date in autonomous active gels driven by the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction. These results demonstrate that microfluidics offers a useful and facile experimental approach to optimize the conditions (e.g., fabrication methods, counterions, flow rates, concentrations of reagents) for chemomechanical transduction in active materials. This work thus provides much needed insights and methods for the development of chemomechanically active systems based on combining soft materials and microfluidic systems.

Graphic Abstract

ACS Electronic Supporting Info

Ye Hong,Ning Zuoyong 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.8 No.11

For the tasks of different participants and requirements of resources information sharing needs of complex product project in the WBS decomposition process, as well as the problems of design, manufacture and the disconnect between tourism management information transfer, the thesis puts forward the formal method to the metadata by using ontology model and description logic. Through the interaction of formal metadata sharing of heterogeneous data through is realized. Taken large OKP enterprise as the object of study, firstly, the data model in material management are domain analyzed; providing effective carrier for the emerge of static data in the work breakdown process of complex product by constructing ontology, the thesis abstracts related concept class to construct domain ontology model. Then, carrying out the formalized description on material management domain ontology model combined with the description logic. Finally, combining typical complex manufacture of Marine product, carrying out the project modeling and decomposition from three levels, the concept, business domains, activity domain, reveal the relationship between task at all levels, suited to the characteristics of the complex product project WBS model is established. The experiment shows that the constructed ontology model can effectively solve the problem of enterprise heterogeneous data sharing. Model has a certain commonality and can be reused for other subject areas, providing an effective way for unambiguous sharing of the enterprise business information.

Ginsenoside Rg1 promotes neurite growth of retinal ganglion cells through cAMP/PKA/CREB pathways

        Ye-ying Jiang,Rong-yun Wei,Kai Tang,Zhen Wang,Ning-hua Tan The Korean Society of Ginseng 2024 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.48 No.2

Background: Mechanisms of synaptic plasticity in retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) are complex and the current knowledge cannot explain. Growth and regeneration of dendrites together with synaptic formation are the most important parameters for evaluating the cellular protective effects of various molecules. The effect of ginsenoside Rg1 (Rg1) on the growth of retinal ganglion cell processes has been poorly understood. Therefore, we investigated the effect of ginsenoside Rg1 on the neurite growth of RGCs. Methods: Expression of proteins and mRNA were detected by Western blot and qPCR. cAMP levels were determined by ELISA. In vivo effects of Rg1 on RGCs were evaluated by hematoxylin and eosin, and immunohistochemistry staining. Results: This study found that Rg1 promoted the growth and synaptic plasticity of RGCs neurite by activating the cAMP/PKA/CREB pathways. Meanwhile, Rg1 upregulated the expression of GAP43, Rac1 and PAX6, which are closely related to the growth of neurons. Meantime, H89, an antagonist of PKA, could block this effect of Rg1. In addition, we preliminarily explored the effect of Rg1 on enhancing the glycolysis of RGCs, which could be one of the mechanisms for its neuroprotective effects. Conclusion: Rg1 promoted neurite growth of RGCs through cAMP/PKA/CREB pathways. This study may lay a foundation for its clinical use of optic nerve diseases in the future.

Up-regulation of miR-106a targets LIMK1 and contributes to cognitive impairment induced by isoflurane anesthesia in mice

        Ning Zhang,Weiguang Ye,Tianlong Wang,Hui Wen,Lan Yao 한국유전학회 2020 Genes & Genomics Vol.42 No.4

Background Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) had a great relationship with anesthesia during surgery, and miRNAs have been found involved in anesthesia-induced cognitive impairment. Objective To explore the role and potential mechanism of miR-106a in isoflurane anesthesia-induced cognitive impairment. Methods Adult male mice were treated with isoflurane anesthesia; Morris water maze tests and fear conditioning tests were performed; and expression levels of miR-106a and LIMK1 were determined by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and western blot. Dual luciferase reporter assay was used to determine the binding of miR-106a and 3’UTR of LIMK1. To verify the role of miR-106a, antagomir of miR-106a were intrahippocampally injected. Finally, expression of BCL2 apoptosis regulator (Bcl-2), LIM domain kinase 1 (LIMK1), BCL2-associated X, apoptosis regulator (Bax) and cleaved caspase3 was determined by western blot. Results In isoflurane anesthesia-treated group (IS), the percentage of target quadrant dwell time was significantly lower and the escape latency was significantly higher than in the control group (sham), and the freezing behavior of IS was significantly less in contextual fear conditioning tests. Expression levels of miR-106a were increased and those of LIMK1 were decreased in response to IS. Dual luciferase reporter assay showed that miR-106a could bind with the 3’UTR of LIMK1. Decreased expression levels of miR-106a improved the cognitive impairment of the mice treated with isoflurane. Intrahippocampally injected antagomir of miR-106a also increased LIMK1 and Bcl-2 levels, decreased the BAX and cleaved caspase3 expression levels in the mice treated with isoflurane. Conclusion Decrease of LIMK1 expression by miR-106a played an important role in isoflurane anesthesia-induced cognitive impairment.

Probing the Key Binding Sequence and Improvement of the Stability of a β-Bungarotoxin-binding Aptamer in Snake Venom

        Fengping Ye,Qili Mi,Ning Zhang,Xuemei Li,Jing Yu,Zhongping Gao,Ying Zheng,Quanshui Fan,Jie Wang,Jinglin Wang 대한화학회 2016 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.37 No.5

Chemical modifications of the nucleotides can improve the stability of aptamers against enzyme degradation in serum, but it is not clear whether these methods are effective in snake venom. In this study, a DNA aptamer, βB-1, which specifically recognize β-bungarotoxin and Bungarus multicinctus venom was chosen, and the key binding sequence of the aptamer was determined. Based on the secondary structure of the truncated aptamer, locked nucleic acids and 2′-O-methyl nucleotides were applied to modify the stem and loop sequences, respectively. In addition, a 3′-3′-thymidine cap was also adopted to block the 3′ end. It was shown that these chemical modifications can all enhance the stability of the aptamer in snake venom. Simultaneously, modified aptamer with the above modifications in one sequence exhibited a significantly elevated biostability, with the half-life improved from several minutes to 210 min while maintaining its binding affinity to the target.

Stochastic Reliable Control of a Class of Networked Control Systems with Actuator Faults and Input Saturation

        Jian-Ning Li,Ya-Jun Pan,Hong-Ye Su,Cheng-lin Wen 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2014 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.12 No.3

The stochastic reliable control problem for networked control systems (NCSs) subject to actuator failure and input saturation is investigated in this paper. In order to get the relationship between the maximum allowable consecutive packet dropouts, the packet dropout probability, the actuator failure matrix and the input saturation, a packet dropout probability dependent condition is given via linear matrix inequality (LMI) technology. Then, a suitable reliable controller is designed to ensure the closed-loop system to be exponentially mean square stable against actuator failures and input saturation. Finally, numerical examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Optical and Dielectric Properties of a-C:F,H Films

Cheng Schanhua,Ye Chao,Zhaoyuan Ning 한국물리학회 2003 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.42 No.III

Fluorinated amorphous carbon lms (a-C:F,H) were deposited in an electron cyclotron resonance plasma chemical vapor deposition (ECR-CVD) system with CF4/C6H6 mixture as source gase. The eects of deposition power and thermal annealing on the structures, optical and dielectric properties of the lms have been investigated with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Ultraviolet visible absorption spectrum (UV-VIS), and capacitance voltage (C-V) characteristics. The results show that the high power deposition and high temperature annealing produced the lms with more C-C and less CFx bond structures, optical gap of the lm depends on the bond component ratio of C-C/CFx in the lm, and the increase of dielectric constant and dielectric loss after annealing could originate from the release of uorine./

      • Robust People Counting in Complicated Situations

Zhi Zhong,Ning Ding,Weizhong Ye,Xinyu Wu,Yangsheng Xu 한국과학기술원 인간친화 복지 로봇 시스템 연구센터 2008 International Journal of Assistive Robotics and Me Vol.9 No.2

People counting is a basic yet important aspect in intelligent video surveillance. In some places full of moving pedestrians or objects, it is a real challenge for traditional image processing approaches. This paper addresses the issue of how to enhance the robustness of people counting in two complicated situations, one is to count individuals mixed with objects and the other is to count people in a crowded scene. Based on modeling method and machine learning, we employ a new way to tackle the problem, which reduces the error rate and the miss rate dramatically. Experimental results have demonstrated the robust function of the system.
