<P>H2O or NH4OH (5%) precursor pretreatment in the chamber was carried out before the thermal atomic layer deposition (ALD) of an Al2O3 passivation layer on p-type crystal Si. It was found that the density of negative oxide fixed charges significantly increased, the Al-O combination at the interface changed, the Al/O atomic at the interface of Al2O3/Si decreased, and the effective lifetime increased. The pretreated samples with changes in the Al-O structure at the interface, which made the interface more oxygen-rich, were believed to be the reason for the improvement of the field effect passivation in Al2O3 passivated crystal Si solar cell applications. Background: This study explores whether the intolerance of uncertainty among healthcare workers prompts viral anxiety, and whether this association is mediated by their reassuranceseeking behavior and preoccupation with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Korea. Methods: An online survey was conducted among healthcare workers in Asan Medical Center, on November 29, 2021. Demographic characteristics and responses to items from rating scales were collected, including Stress and Anxiety to Viral Epidemics-9, Coronavirus Reassurance-Seeking Behaviors Scale (CRBS), Obsession with COVID-19 Scale (OCS), Patient Health Questionnaire-9, Insomnia Severity Scale, and Intolerance of Uncertainty-12 (IUS-12). Results: Among the 329 participants, viral anxiety of healthcare workers was predicted by being female (β = 0.14, P = 0.002), CRBS (β = 0.30, P < 0.001), OCS (β = 0.32, P < 0.001), and IUS-12 (β = 0.15, P = 0.002) scores (adjusted R2 = 0.43, F = 31.1, P < 0.001). Mediation analysis showed that the intolerance of uncertainty directly influenced viral anxiety, and reassuranceseeking behavior and obsession with COVID-19 partially mediated the association. Conclusion: The intolerance of uncertainty among healthcare workers directly influenced their viral anxiety, and reassurance-seeking behavior and obsession with COVID-19 mediated this association in this era of “living with coronavirus” in Korea.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We investigated molecular structure change of <SMALL>D</SMALL>- and <SMALL>L</SMALL>-glucose by proton beam irradiation of 7.8 MeV, using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy. Both glucose pellets exposed to the irradiation of 10<SUP>13</SUP>, 4 × 10<SUP>13</SUP>, 6 × 10<SUP>13</SUP>, and 8 × 10<SUP>13</SUP> particles/cm<SUP>2</SUP> of the particle’s fluence, were characterized using complex refractive indices in terahertz frequency region. We found that fingerprints of two types of glucose in terahertz frequency were disappeared above 8 × 10<SUP>13</SUP> particles/cm<SUP>2</SUP>. Crystallinity breaking and molecular structure change by proton irradiation was reaffirmed using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The structural changes of biochemical molecules by proton beams were measured the terahertz spectroscopy. </LI> <LI> The changes of molecular structure of glucose were investigated by FTIR and XRD method. </LI> </UL> </P>

Information retrieval systems that utilize dense vector representations obtained through neural networks can reflect the contextual meaning of questions and phrases. The nature of the neural network training process requires a lot of training data. Due to the nature of question-answer dataset, queries and answers are matched one-to-one, so there is a lack of correct answer data. While data augmentation methods can be used to address data scarcity, traditional methods randomly delete tokens. This causes a problem where the tokens that serve as evidence for the correct answer in the passage are removed. In this study, we propose a new data augmentation method to prevent the deletion of important tokens during the augmentation process. Data generated according to the new data augmentation method showed that tokens with lower importance were removed.

In this study, we enhance the numerical approach of Lee et al to spherical indentation technique for property evaluation of hyper-elastic rubber. We first determine the friction coefficient between rubber and indenter in a practical viewpoint. We perform finite element numerical simulations for deeper indentation depth. An optimal data acquisition spot is selected, which features sufficiently large strain energy density and negligible frictional effect. We then improve two normalized functions mapping an indentation load vs. deflection curve into a strain energy density vs. first invariant curve, the latter of which in turn gives the Yeoh-model constants. The enhanced spherical indentation approach produces the rubber material properties with an average error of less than 3%.

Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 (PRC2) exhibits key roles inmammalian development through its temporospatial repressionof gene expression. EZH1 or EZH2 is the catalytic subunitof PRC2 that mediates the mono-, di- and tri-methylation ofhistone H3 lysine 27 (H3K27me1/2/3), H3K27me2/me3 being ahallmark of facultative heterochromatin. PRC2 is a chromatinmodifyingenzyme that is recruited to a limited number of“nucleation sites”, spreads H3K27 methylation and fosterschromatin compaction. EZH1 and EZH2 exhibit differences intheir expression patterns, levels of histone methyltransferaseactivity (HMT) in the context of PRC2, and DNA/nucleosomebinding activity. This suggests that their roles in heterochromatinformation are disparate. Dysregulation of PRC2 activityleads to aberrant gene expression and is implicated in cancerand developmental diseases. In this review, we discuss thedistinct function of PRC2/EZH1 and PRC2/EZH2 in the earlyand late developmental stages. We then discuss the cancersassociated with PRC2/EZH1 and PRC2/EZH2.
