가막사리(Bidens tripartita L.)와 미국가막사리(Bidens frondosa L.) 종자의 발아에 미치는 몇가지 요인

The experiments were conducted to determine the factors such as light and darkness, phytohormone and seed coat, influencing on seed germination of Bidens tripartita L. and B. frondosa. The seeds of both species were germinated when seed coat was damaged and weakened GA3 and BA stimulated germination of both species but ABA and IAA had no effect on germination of them, which ranged 50.0% to 80.0%. In B. forndosa, when inner layer of seed coat was removed, germination was highly promoted up to 96.7% compared with 10.0% germination rate in another treatments.

신체화장애 환자의 스트레스 대처방식 및 심리적 특성

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the stress coping strategies and psychological charactehstics, such as combined psychopathology and tendency of symptom interpretation, in patients with somatization disorder. Methods : Thirty patients meeting the criteria of DSM-IV somatization disorder were compared with thirty controls. We evaluated the subjects using Symptom Checklist-90-Revised (SCL-90-R), Somato-Sensory Amplification Scale (SSAS), Symptom Interpretation Questionnaire (SIQ), and The Ways of Stress Coping Questionnaire (SCQ). Independent t-test and Pearson correlation analysis were used. Results : From the results of SCL-90-R subscales, the scores of somatization, obsession-compulsion, depression, anxiety, and psychoticism were significantly higher in patients with somatization disorder than nonnal controls. Somatization disorder patients had greater amplification of physical sensation in SSAS and significantly higher score in physical interpretation of SIQ compared with psychological or environmental interpretation, In the SCQ of somatization disorder patients, we observed generallylower levels of total coping scores than the control group and significant positive correlation between passive coping style of SCQ and psychological interpretation of SIQ. Conclusion : These results show that patients with somatization disorder have various psychopathology, greater amplification of physical sensation, physical interpretation tendency of symptoms, and insufficient copying strategy.

The roles of glycosphingolipids in the proliferation and neural differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells

Glycosphingolipids including gangliosides play important regulatory roles in cell proliferation and differentiation. UDP-glucose:ceramide glucosyltransferase (Ugcg) catalyze the initial step in glycosphingolipids biosynthesis pathway. In this study, Ugcg expression was reduced to approximately 80% by short hairpin RNAs (shRNAs) to evaluate the roles of glycosphingolipids in proliferation and neural differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs). HPTLC/immunofluorescence analyses of shRNAtransfected mESCs revealed that treatment with Ugcg-shRNA decreased expression of major gangliosides, GM3 and GD3. Furthermore, MTT and Western blot/immunofluorescence analyses demonstrated that inhibition of the Ugcg expression in mESCs resulted in decrease of cell proliferation (P < 0.05) and decrease of activation of the ERK1/2 (P < 0.05), respectively. To further investigate the role of glycosphingolipids in neural differentiation, the embryoid bodies formed from Ugcg-shRNA transfected mESCs were differentiated into neural cells by treatment with retinoic acid. We found that inhibition of Ugcg expression did not affect embryoid body (EB) differentiation, as judged by morphological comparison and expression of early neural precursor cell marker, nestin, in differentiated EBs. However, RT-PCR/immunofluorescence analyses showed that expression of microtubule- associated protein 2 (MAP-2) for neurons and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) for glial cells was decreased in neural cells differentiated from the shRNA-transfected mESCs. These results suggest that glycosphingolipids are involved in the proliferation of mESCs through ERK1/2 activation, and that glycosphingolipids play roles in differentiation of neural precursor cells derived from mESCs.

Effectiveness of marker-assisted backcrossing breeding for biotic resistance in rice

The transfer of a biotic resistance gene from indica rice cultivars into japonica cultivars by conventional breeding methods often difficult due to high sterility of the progenies, poor plant type, and linkage drag. Molecular markers provide opportunities to map resistance genes and accelerate the application of marker-assisted backcross(MAB) breeding through the precise transfer of target genomic regions into the recurrent parent. The basis of MAB breeding is to transfer a specific gene/allele of the donor parent into the recurrent parent genome while selecting against donor introgressions across the rest of the genome. The effectiveness of MAB breeding depends on the availability of closely linked DNA markers for the target locus, the size of the population, the number of backcrosses and the position and number of markers for background selection. We have successfully developed Bph18 version of the commercially cultivated japonica elite cultivar by using MAB and incorporating the resistance gene Bph18 that conferred enhanced resistance to BPH. MAB breeding provides a new opportunity for the selective transfer of biotic resistance genes into elite indica rice cultivars devoid of linkage drag. In additon, molecular markers precisely estimate the introgression of chromosome segments from donor parents and can speed up the recipient genome recovery via background selection.

김일성 저작집을 통해 본 북한의 기독교 인식과 대응논리 연구

In North Korea, it is hard for one to even dream of direct missionary work. But the situation for missionary work is much better for the North Korean defectors who have come down to the South Korea. These days, attention and mission to North Korean defectors can be one of the challenges we have faced. However, North Korean defectors who came to the South Korea were educated with the negative perceptions of Christianity through various channels and ways when they were in the North Korea. Therefore, the perceptions of Christianity that appears in the Kim Il Sung Collection, which are the core of Kim Il Sung’s teachings, still have the most important influence on the perceptions of Christianity among North Koreans. Under this awareness of the problem, this study analyzed Kim Il Sung’s perception of Christianity and his perception of Christians separately from his writings. Because Kim Il-sung’s words are absolute commands that can not be disobeyed in the North Korea. As a results of this study, Kim Il Sung was an atheist. And he identified Christianity with the United States, which was brutal during the Korean War. Kim Il Sung recognized Christian as the frontman of imperialism and the worshiper of America. This study considered how North Korean defectors should throw away their prejudices against Christianity. This study can be said to mean that inter-Korean exchanges will be revitalized in the future, giving North Koreans the right data and perceptions of Christianity when we encounter them.

북한 붕괴론 논쟁 탐구

This paper has attempted to study for debates on the collapse of North Korea since the death of Kim Il Sung. For this, I classified the times as follows : 1) the collapse of Eastern Bloc, the death of Kim Il-sung and the march of hardship 2) the stroke of Kim Jong Il and the Jasmine Revolution 3) the death of Kim Jong-Il and the appearance of Kim Jong Un. Next, I summarized the argument of scholars who had predicted the collapse of the North Korea and scholars who had predicted the preservation of the North Korea. And then, I analyzed the debates on the collapse-theory of the North Korea. As a result of this study, I wanted to serve for the desirable unification policy. Up to present, there are so many opinions of internal and external surroundings about the collapse of North Korea, but the Kim Jong-Un`s regime has been still exited since the death of Kim Jong Il. This shows the limits of the North Korea-collapse-theory. As the result of this study, in the short term, I insist that the possibility of North Korea`s collapse should be low. Therefore, Our Government must pursue not only the unceasing political and economic contacts but also reconciliation and cooperation policy on North Korea. If we propel the unification as the process, this will be more realistic.

청소년기의 우울, 자아탄력성, 교우관계 간의 영향관계 연구

본 연구는 청소년의 우울, 교우관계, 자아탄력성의 관계를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히, 자아탄력성이 두 변인 사이에서 어떤 역할을 하는지를 검정하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 한국아동청소년패널조사 6차년도 자료를 활용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석은 주로 다중회귀분석을 실시하였으며 상호작용효과를 검정하기 위하여 Hayes가 개발한 macro process를 활용하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년들의 우울은 교우관계에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 자아탄력성은 교우관계에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 청소년의 우울이 교우관계에 영향을 미치는데 있어 자아탄력성이 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 이때 조절효과는 완충효과인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 청소년들의 우울, 자아탄력성, 자아존중감을 다루기 위하여 학교사회복지사의 확대, 강점관점 실천의 강화, 감수성훈련의 확대 등을 제언하였다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between depression, peer relationship and ego-resilience in adolescents. In particular, this study aimed to elucidate the role of ego-resilience between two variables. The analysis was conducted using the 6th year data of the Korean Youth Panel Survey and mainly used multiple regression analysis and used macro process developed by Hayes to test the interaction effect. The results were as follows. First, depression of adolescents had a negative effect on peer-relationship. Second, adolescents" ego-resilience had a positive effect on their friendship. Third, the ego-resilience had a moderating effect on the depression of adolescents. In particular, the interaction effect was found to be a buffering effect. Based on these findings, it was suggested to reduce depression of adolescents and to increase ego-resilience and self-esteem.

This thesis is focused on the negative and positive factors for the neutral unification of the Korean Peninsular. The negative factors of the neutral unification of the Korean Peninsular can be explained as follows. 1. the viewpoint of the U.S. against neutralization of the Korean Peninsular 2. the subjective perception over the possibility of the neutral unification 3. the political situation of Northeast Asia and the standpoint of the great powers, etc. The positive factors of the neutral unification of the Korean Peninsular can be explained as follows. 1. The reconciliation in the inter-Korean relations 2. Eurasia land bridge 3. Switzerland as a neutral state is a case in point 4. neutralization and win-win effect. etc. If we try to acquire the neutral unification of the Korean Peninsular, it would be a breakthrough for the peace of the Korean Peninsular and Northeast Asia.

한반도평화지대 건설을 위한 생명공동체 방안: 북한의 관점을 중심으로

In order to find a way to build a Peace Zone on the Korean Peninsula, this paper first examined how North Korea sees Peace Agreements and Denuclearization. And from the perspective of North Korea, I looked at the conditions for a Peace Zone on the Korean Peninsula. This is because we need to know exactly North Korea’s intentions so that we can respond appropriately. Next, for the construction of a Peace Zone on the Korean Peninsula, I studied the ways to induce North Korea to alleviate its tricky conditions. In order to build a Peace Zone on the Korean Peninsula, the Declaration of the end of the war and the promotion of a Peace Agreement must be prioritized. However, the United States, which holds the key to peace on the Korean Peninsula, cannot take a step forward because it is even negative about the Declaration of the end of the war. However, the two Koreas must solve this problem independently because they cannot give up peace on the Korean Peninsula. As a measure, I devised a plan to build a Life Community that can alleviate North Korea’s conditions for the construction of a Peace Zone on the Korean Peninsula.
