Treatment of erythrodermic psoriasis in HBV carrier patient

Erythrodermic psoriasis is a severe type of psoriasis associated with systemic symptoms. Immunobiological medications are prescribed for certain patients with severe forms of psoriasis, however, these drugs increase the risk of reactivation of viral or other infectious diseases. We report a 56-years-old man who diagnosed with erythrodermic psoriasis. He had positive serology for the Hepatitis B virus, and treated with acitretin. In this patient, immunomodulating drugs, such as cyclosporine and other biologics, should not be prescribed. The patient markedly improved after treatment without reactivation of viral disease. HBV infection is the most common cause of chronic liver diseases and hepatocellular carcinoma in Korea. The close surveillance of the patients`` HBV status before and during therapy with any immunobiologic agent is recommended. In addition, laboratory tests are fundamental in monitoring liver function for early detection of viral reactivation

Dermal melanocyte hamartoma (dermal melanocytosis) is a very rare condition characterized by areas of diffuse gray-blue pigmentation or coalescing macular lesions, present at birth, and with similarities to the nevi of Ota and Ito. Differential diagnosis of these dermal melanocytic lesions include the Mongolian spot, the blue nevus, the nevus of Ota, the nevus of Ito and dermal melanocytic harmatoma. The 15-years-old girl visited our clinic for hyperpigmented patches on the left thigh. It present at birth, show multiple brownish macule on the diffuse gray-blue pigementation base. Nevus spilus is also known as speckled lentiginous nevus because it has spotted apperarance with background light brown discoloration. They are thougt to be a form of congenital nevi because they usually appear at birth or soon thereafter. Combined nevus of a nevus spilus and a dermal melanocytic lesion are unusual, to our knowledge, the combination of nevus spilus and an overlying dermal melanocyte hamartoma has not been previously reported.

In this study student administration system based the .net foundation was implemented that can effectively address the attendance processing and the student management tasks for numerous courses that constituents many students and professors. The system configuration is largely divided into student management server, student management client system, and attendance processing system. The attendance processing system performs automatic attendance processing by utilizing the student ID cards.
Clinical Implementation of Precision Medicine in Gastric Cancer

Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the deadliest malignancies in the world. Currently, clinical treatment decisions are mostly made based on the extent of the tumor and its anatomy, such as tumor-node-metastasis staging. Recent advances in genome-wide molecular technology have enabled delineation of the molecular characteristics of GC. Based on this, efforts have been made to classify GC into molecular subtypes with distinct prognosis and therapeutic response. Simplified algorithms based on protein and RNA expressions have been proposed to reproduce the GC classification in the clinical field. Furthermore, a recent study established a single patient classifier (SPC) predicting the prognosis and chemotherapy response of resectable GC patients based on a 4-gene real-time polymerase chain reaction assay. GC patient stratification according to SPC will enable personalized therapeutic strategies in adjuvant settings. At the same time, patient-derived xenografts and patient-derived organoids are now emerging as novel preclinical models for the treatment of GC. These models recapitulate the complex features of the primary tumor, which is expected to facilitate both drug development and clinical therapeutic decision making. An integrated approach applying molecular patient stratification and patient-derived models in the clinical realm is considered a turning point in precision medicine in GC.
A case of hyperpigemented macules on PIP joints

We report a 65-years-old man with blackish macules on PIP and DIP joints of hands. The macules were asymptomatic, well-marginated, blackish, 6mm in diameter, and not found with ulceration or inflammatory change. The lesion located 2nd ,3rd, 4th PIP and 5th DIP joint on right hand, and also 3rd PIP joint on left hand. It appeared several years ago at first, and grows slowly until last year. The patient had no traumatic history or occupational exposure of hand. The histopathology show melanocytic proliferation in basal layer and supra basal layer without atypia. Here in this case, it presented unique skin lesion and distribution and didn’t show feature of postinflmmatory hyperpigmentation or dermal melanocytic disease.

Numerical simulation is now routinely used to predict the behavior and response of complex systems. But uncertainties enter into a numerical simulation from a variety of source, such as variability in input parameters due to inherent scatter in data, lack of or insufficient input information, modeling assumptions, and human error. In durability problems there will be a number of input uncertainties associated with the model, such as material properties, loadings, geometry, boundary conditions, etc. This research proposes a probabilistic prediction process of durability load distribution. In early design stage, virtual proving ground simulation is essential to estimate vehicle durability using vehicle, tire and road model. Previous researches have used deterministic approach to predict various performances using constant mean factors, and considered uncertainties through safety factor. This paper includes process of durability load prediction and considering uncertainties to consider diversity of region and specification, tuning properties for other performance and test conditions. In addition process integration is developed to execute probabilistic analysis efficiently.
시트콤 동영상에서 MPEG-7 시각 기술자를 이용한 Scene 배경의 자동 분류 방법

시트콤 동영상은 고정된 배경을 갖는 줌 아웃에 연이어 오는 줌 인으로 구성되어 있고, 또한 촬영되는 배경의 수는 한정되어 있는 특성이 때문에, 이러한 배경의 시각적 특성을 사용하여 배경들을 학습시키고 자동으로 분리시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 신경망의 일종인 LVQ[1]를 사용하여 이러한 종류의 비디오 동영상에 대한 자동 배경 분류 방법을 제안한다. 우선, MPEG-7 시각 기술자를 이용하여 신(scene) 배경의 시각적인 특성을 추출하고 이러한 시각적 특성을 미리 제작자에 의해서 주어진 배경 정보로서 LVQ를 학습시킨다. 학습이 진행되면서 특정 배경의 시각적 특성은 LVQ의 가중치로서 표현되며, 다른 배경을 자동으로 분류하는데 사용된다. 제안된 LVQ기반의 분류 방법을 사용한 두 종류의 시트콤 동영상에 대한 실험 결과는 분류에 대한 어떠한 하드코딩 없이 80~90%의 정확도로 시트콤 동영상의 배경을 자동으로 분류한다.
