뇌성마비 환아의 자해 방지를 위한 변형된 마우스가드의 적용

뇌성마비(cerebral palsy)는 비진행성의 정신,운동 장애를 총칭하는 용어로,소아 장애의 흔한 원인이 된다. 자해 행위란(self-injurious behavior) 자살 의도없이 자신의 신체 일부를 고의적으로 손상시키는 것으로,종종 반복 적인 행동으로 나타난다. 소아에서의 이러한 자해 습관은 정상적인 어린이에서는 드물며,증후군,유전질환,정신지체 어린이 등에서 그 발생률이 높게 보고된다. 구강 내 자해 행위의 가장 흔한 유형은 혀나 입술 혹은 구강 점막을 물어뜯는 것이다. 이러한 자해 행위를 조절하기 위하여 행동 수정법,약물 치료,신체 속박술,치과적 장치의 적용,외과적 수술 또는 치아 발치술 등의 다양한 방법들이 제시되었다. 이 중 마우스가드 등의 치과적 장치를 이용한 방법은 구강 내 자해 행위의 감소와 조직의 보호를 위해 가장 보존적이며 적합한 방법이라고 사료된다. 본 증례에서는 자해 습관에 의해 하순과 협점막에 궤양성 병소를 가진 뇌성마비 환아에 있어서,변형된 마우스가드를 이용하여 자해에 의한 손상을 방지하고 만족할 만한 치유 양상을 보였기에 이를 보고하는 바이다. Cerebral palsy, a range of non-progressive syndromes of posture and motor impairment, is a common cause of disability in childhood. Self-injurious behavior(SIB) is deliberate harm to the body without suicidal intend, often involving repetitive actions that cause tissue damage. One of the most common orofacial self-injurious behavior is chewing tongue, lip or oral mucosa. This kind of SIB in children is not common in normal children. High occurrence rates are observered in cases of syndromatic, mentally retarded children, and children with congenital disease. Various methods such as behavior modification, behavior control by drugs, body restraints, application of dental appliance, surgery and extraction of teeth have been suggested to control those self-injurious behavior. Using mouthguard as one of dental applainaces is the most conservative and appropriate method in terms of reducing oral self-injurious habits and protection of tissue. This case report describes a child with cerebral palsy who presented with self-injurious ulceration of lip and buccal mucosa. A modified mouthguard was effective in preventing self-injurious oral trauma in a child with cerebral palsy.
Phylogeny of Korean <i>Rubus</i> (Rosaceae) based on the second intron of the <i>LEAFY</i> gene

The second intron of the LEAFY gene was used for phylogenetic analysis of Rubus (Rosaceae). The LEAFY gene is conserved among a wide variety of plants and is known to be involved in the morphological evolution of plants. Sequence comparison of LEAFY homologues revealed the phylogenetic relationships of previously unresolved taxa, suggesting the usefulness of this marker rather than the ITS region for representing nuclear gene trees. In addition, a combined analysis of the trnL/F intergenic region of chloroplast DNA and the second intron of the LEAFY gene yielded more imformative data. Based on the data, it was inferred that evolution proceeded from herbs to woody plants, compound leaf to simple leaf, and pink petal to white petal within Korean Rubus taxa. Moreover, the LEAFY and trnL/F combined phylogeny had similar topology with the Rubus classification based on morphological characteristics. Therefore, our results indicate that LEAFY and trnL/F were valuable regions for analyzing the phylogenetic relationships among the Rubus taxa in Korea. </P>
A new record of Galium bungei var. miltorrhizum (Hance) Jeong & Pak (Rubiaceae) in Korea

We reported an unrecorded plant species, Galium bungei var. miltorrhizum (Hance) Jeong & Pak in Korea. This species is found in Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, Jeollabuk-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Gyeongsangnam-do. G. bungei var. miltorrhizum is distinguished from related taxa by glabrous stem and glabrous or rarely short papillate mericarps. This taxon was named 'Dung-geun-ne-ip-gal-kwi' in Korean based on shapes of leaves. We provided a description, illustrations, photographs, and a key of related taxa in Korea. And we propose a new combination (Galium bungei var. miltorrhizum).

<P>Phototransistors that are based on a hybrid vertical heterojunction structure of two-dimensional (2D)/quantum dots (QDs) have recently attracted attention as a promising device architecture for enhancing the quantum efficiency of photodetectors. However, to optimize the device structure to allow for more efficient charge separation and transfer to the electrodes, a better understanding of the photophysical mechanisms that take place in these architectures is required. Here, we employ a novel concept involving the modulation of the built-in potential within the QD layers for creating a new hybrid MoS<SUB>2</SUB>/PbS QDs phototransistor with consecutive type II junctions. The effects of the built-in potential across the depletion region near the type II junction interface in the QD layers are found to improve the photoresponse as well as decrease the response times to 950 μs, which is the faster response time (by orders of magnitude) than that recorded for previously reported 2D/QD phototransistors. Also, by implementing an electric-field modulation of the MoS<SUB>2</SUB> channel, our experimental results reveal that the detectivity can be as large as 1 × 10<SUP>11</SUP> jones. This work demonstrates an important pathway toward designing hybrid phototransistors and mixed-dimensional van der Waals heterostructures.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
CENTRALIZED TRANSVERSAL JACOBI FIELDS OF RIEMANNIAN FOLIATIONS

In view of variational meaning, transversal Jacobi fields of harmonic Riemannian foliations have been studied by Kamber. Tondeur, Toth and others ([2], [3], [8]). The main interest of the present paper is to define the notion of generalized transversal Jacobi fields for the case of general (nonharmonic) Riemannian foliations and to generalize related results.
직접 결합된 구형 마이크로스트립 어레이 안테나의 복사패턴에 관한 이론적인 연구

Theoretical method for analyzing the radiation pattern of directly coupled rectangular microstrip array antenna is presented. The equivalent circuit of the antenna is represented by the conventional transmission line model and the radiation admittance derived from the equivalent circuit of the slitted parallel-plate waveguide filled with a dielectric. The calculated results of the radiation patterns for 2-patch and 4-patch array antennas are compared with the measured values, respectively.

<P>As two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides electronic devices are scaled down to the sub-micrometer regime, the active layers of these materials are exposed to high lateral electric fields, resulting in electrical breakdown. In this regard, understanding the intrinsic nature in layer-stacked 2D semiconducting materials under high lateral electric fields is necessary for the reliable applications of their field-effect transistors. Here, we explore the electrical breakdown phenomena originating from avalanche multiplication in MoS<SUB>2</SUB> field-effect transistors with different layer thicknesses and channel lengths. Modulating the band structure and bandgap energy in MoS<SUB>2</SUB> allows the avalanche multiplication to be controlled by adjusting the number of stacking layers. This phenomenon could be observed in transition metal dichalcogenide semiconducting systems due to its quantum confinement effect on the band structure. The relationship between the critical electric field for avalanche breakdown and bandgap energy is well fitted to a power law curve in both monolayer and multilayer MoS<SUB>2</SUB>.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
REMARKS ON TRANSVERSAL KILLING FIELDS OF RIEMANNIAN FOLIATIONS

횡단적 킬링장, 아핀장, 사영장, 공형장, 야코비장과 같은 비조화적 리만엽층 구조의에 있어서 기하학적 횡단적 무한소 동형사상의 연구는 최근 여러 학자들에 의해 많은 성과가 있었다. 이들은 모두 λ-자기동형사상의 예가 된다. 그 중에서도 횡단적 킬링장은 λ-자기동형사상에서 중심적인 역할을 한다. 우리의 주된 관심은 비조화적 리만엽층구조에서 횡단적 킬링장의 특징을 짓는 문제이다. 이 문제와 관련하여, 최근 상수인 횡단적 발산을 가지는 λ-자기동형사상의 경우에는 특징지워졌다. 본 연구에서는 이를 확장하려는 입장에서 횡단적 발산이 상수가 아닌 λ-자기동형사상에 대해서 논의하고자 한다. In this paper, we are interested in characterizing transversal Killing fields of nonharmonic Riemannian foliations. Each transversal Killing field is a λ-automorphism whose transversal divergence is constant (indeed, is divergence-free). In [3], it was given a characterization that a λ-automorphism whose transversal divergence is constant is to be transversal Killing. In view of extending the previous result, we mainly discuss the problem when a λ-automorphism whose transversal divergence need not be constant is to be transversal Killing. Our results obtained may give some informations on λ for transversal Killing fields as λ-automorphisms.
