These is facial asymmetry in most people, to a certain degree. In its severe case, especially facial asymmetry with mandibular prognathism, improvement of esthetic problem as well as decreased functional masticatory efficacy due to malocclusion are important. It is widely accepted that the facial asymmetry occurs primarily at mandible, compensatory maxillary movement occurs secondary. Therefore, as trying analysis and classification of facial asymmetry, there is the primary concern on the mandible. Particular methods are used for evaluation of all patient with facial asymmetry as following ; clinical visual exammintion, lateral and P-A cephalometric analysis, submentovertex view, scintigram, cast analysis, and face-bow transfer. We experienced 3 cases of facial asymmetry with mandibular prognathism complaining of facial asymmetry and mastication difficulty. Through preoperative orthodontic treatment, orthognathic surgery, and postoperative orthodontic treatment, we achievd esthetic and functional good result.

<P>Conclusions: Gd-EOB-MRI showed high specificity but poor sensitivity for assessing transplant eligibility based on MC when adopting the conventional radiological hallmarks of HCC. Our modified criteria showed significantly better sensitivity and accuracy than the conventional radiological hallmarks.</P>
New Korean Ginseng Cultivar ‘Cheonmyeong’ with High Yield and Rusty Root Tolerance

In 2008, a new Panax ginseng (ginseng) cultivar, ‘Cheonmyeong’, was bred by pure-line selection for tolerance to physiological disorders using a genetic resource collected from the farm race field, Buyeo, Chungnam, Korea. In 2019, ‘Cheonmyeong’ was registered as a new breed by the Korea Seed and Varieties Service (grant number 7467) and accorded plant breeders’ rights. ‘Cheonmyeong’ has a yellowish orange pericarp, which has not been previously reported. ‘Cheonmyeong’ sprouted and flowered 2 days earlier than the control cultivar ‘Chunpoong’, and its fruit-ripening period occurred 3 days earlier. ‘Cheonmyeong’ had 1.5-fold more stems per plant than ‘Chunpoong’. ‘Cheonmyeong’ plants were characterized by a lower occurrence of rusty root disease, and had approximately 28% higher 4-year-old root yields (571.8 ± 99.7 kg·10a<SUP>-1</SUP>) than those of the rusty root-tolerant ‘Chunpoong’ (444.1 ± 110.4 kg·10a<SUP>-1</SUP>). The total ginsenoside content of ‘Cheonmyeong’ (31.70 ± 1.83 mg·g<SUP>-1</SUP>) was higher than that of ‘Chunpoong’ (26.62 ± 1.60 mg·g<SUP>-1</SUP>). Concentrations of the ginsenosides Rg1 (which improves human memory and learning), Rf (which is effective for neuronal oscillation), and Rc (which has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects) were higher in ‘Cheonmyeong’ than in ‘Chunpoong’. ‘Cheonmyeong’ is likely to have strong tolerance against physiological disorders, ensuring reliable production of ginseng, even in response to changes in the cultivation environment.

This paper describes the conceptual platform design of a dual-capable robot for both driving on the ground and flying in the air. The dual-capable robot can move over all types of terrain for both ground and aerial reconnaissance. The main design problem of the robot is how to make a wheel for both driving and flying. The proposed key design concept is a hubless driving wheel that contains a propeller inside for flying in the air. The primary design parameters and initial specifications were confirmed through an examination of the conceptual design, and functional tests were then conducted using a real prototype robot for driving and flying modes. The test results show the feasibility of the proposed design concept.

Background: Korean medicine treatment was assessed in patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) according to subgroups of: sex, age, cause of knee OA, body mass index, hospitalization period, history, OA compartment, phenotype, and comorbidity. Methods: A retrospective review was performed of 122 inpatients who were admitted to the Hospital of Korean Medicine for Korean medicine treatment of knee pain, and were diagnosed with knee OA based on magnetic resonance imaging findings. Analysis of patient subgroups (sex, age, cause of knee OA, body mass index, hospitalization period, history, OA compartment, phenotype, and comorbidity) was carried out and treatments including acupuncture, cupping, pharmacopuncture, herbal medicine, chuna therapy, medicinal steaming therapy, manual therapy, and extracorporeal shock wave therapy were listed. The numeric rating scale (NRS), Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), and 5-level EuroQol- 5 Dimension (EQ-5D-5L) scores were measured before and after treatment to assess the effects of treatment on pain and quality of life. Results: Seventeen males and 105 females were included in this study. Most patients were in their 60s. In the total study population, NRS, WOMAC, and EQ-5D-5L scores were improved statistically significant when comparing before and after treatment. The NRS and WOMAC scores improved statistically significant in the medial, patellofemoral, medial + patellofemoral, medial + lateral + patellofemoral compartment. Conclusion: Korean medicine treatment significantly reduced pain, stiffness, and physical dysfunction, and improved the quality of life of patients with knee OA, suggesting that it may be an effective alternative to the current conservative treatments.

Low power consuming butane gas sensors were fabricated using mica substrate which is a thin and elastic insulator. To increase the sensitivity and the stability, various catalyst layers were formed on SnO_(2) thin layer. Among them, SnO_(2) /Pt(17Å)/Pd(30Å) and SnO_(2) /Pt(8Å )/Pd(30Å) thin layer showed good characteristics in stability and dependance of temperature and humidity. The size of fabricated sensors was 1 x 3 mm^(2) and the consumed power was lower than 100 mW at operating temperature(250℃). For 2000 ppm butane concentration, the response time and the recovery time were about 5 seconds and 15 seconds respectively. The sensitivity of the sensors was about 80 % for 5000 ppm butane concentration.

Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate characteristics and their prognostic value of video-head impulse test (vHIT) in sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) with vertigo. Methods: Of the 612 patients with a diagnosis of SSNHL from 2010 to 2018, 110 patients (18.0%) with vertigo and 39 patients (6.4%) with vHIT results were recruited. The patients were evaluated for their pure-tone hearing average (at initial, 1-month, and 6-month visit), the presence of re-fixation saccade and gains at vHIT, the canal paresis (CP) at ccaloric test. Results: Patients with saccade (+) showed higher pure-tone averages than those with saccade (‒) on initial and follow-up audiograms. The improvement in puretone averages was less in the saccade (+) group than in the saccade (‒) group. There was no significant difference of hearing recovery between SSNHL patients with normal gain and those with decreased gain. There was no difference of hearing improvement between CP (+) and CP (‒) groups according to the presence of re-fixation saccade. Conclusions: Concurrent re-fixation saccade at vHIT is a negative prognostic factor of hearing function in SSNHL. Re-fixation saccade in SSNHL may suggest widespread damages to both the cochlea and the vestibule, leading to the poor prognosis.
