Investigation of Low-Frequency Noise Properties in High-Mobility ZnON Thin-Film Transistors

<P>We investigate the low-frequency noise (LFN) properties of amorphous zinc oxynitride (a-ZnON) thin-film transistors (TFTs) exhibiting high field-effect mobilities ranging from 48.5 to 118.9 cm<SUP>2</SUP>/V · s, depending on the gas flow rates during the deposition process. The measured noise power spectral density of the drain current shows that the LFN in a-ZnON TFTs obeys the classical 1/f noise theory, i.e., it is proportional to 1/f <SUP>γ</SUP> with γ~1 in the frequency range from 10 Hz to 1 kHz. The LFN from the a-ZnON TFT is successfully interpreted by the correlated number fluctuation-mobility fluctuation model. The near-interface dielectric trap density (Nτ) and the Coulomb scattering coefficient (α<SUB>S</SUB>) extracted from the measured LFN in a-ZnON TFTs are similar to those from the previously reported values for amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide TFTs. The relatively large values of N<SUB>T</SUB> and α<SUB>S</SUB> from the a-ZnON TFTs formed under O<SUB>2</SUB>-rich environment are mainly attributed to the high degree of disorder of the a-ZnON channel layer caused by the energetically broad and high density of subgap tail states.</P>

Inguinal hernia is the most common disease treated by the pediatric surgeon. There are several controversial aspects of management 1)the optimal timing of surgical repair, especially for preterm babies, 2)contralateral groin exploration during repair of a clinically unilateral hernia, 3)use of laparoscope in contralateral groin exploration, 4)timing of surgical repair of cord hydrocele, 5)perioperative pain control, 6)perioperative management of anemia. In this survey, we attempted to determine the approach of members of KAPS to these aspects of hernia treatment. A questionnaire by e-mail or FAX was sent to all members. The content of the questionnaire were adapted from the "American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Surgery hernia survey revisited (J Pediatr Surg 40, 1009-1014, 2005)". For full-term male baby, most surgeons (85.7 %) perform an elective operation as soon as diagnosis was made. For reducible hernia found in ex-preterm infants already discharged from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), 76.2 % of surgeons performed an elective repair under general anesthesia (85.8 %). 42.9 % of the surgeons performed the repair just before discharge. For same-day surgery for the ex-premature baby, the opinion was evenly divided. For an inguinal hernia with a contralateral undescended testis in a preterm baby, 61.9 % of surgeons choose to 'wait and see' until 12 month of age. The most important consideration in deciding the timing of surgery of inguinal hernia in preterm baby was the existence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (82.4 %), episode of apnea/bradycardia on home monitoring (70.6 %). Most surgeons do not explore the contralateral groin during unilateral hernia repair. Laparoscope has not been tried. Most surgeons do not give perioperative analgesics or blood transfusion.
Catalytically-etched hexagonal boron nitride flakes and their surface activity

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) is a ceramic compound which is thermally stable up to 1000°C in air. Due to this, it is a very challenging task to etch h-BN under air atmosphere at low temperature. In this study, we report that h-BN flakes can be easily etched by oxidation at 350°C under air atmosphere in the presence of transition metal (TM) oxide. After selecting Co, Cu, and Zn elements as TM precursors, we simply oxidized h-BN sheets impregnated with the TM precursors at 350°C in air. As a result, microscopic analysis revealed that an etched structure was created on the surface of h-BN flakes regardless of catalyst type. And, X-ray diffraction patterns indicated that the air oxidation led to the formation of Co<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>, CuO, and ZnO from each precursor. Thermogravimetric analysis showed a gradual weight loss in the temperature range where the weight of h-BN flakes increased by air oxidation. As a result of etching, pore volume and pore area of h-BN flakes were increased after catalytic oxidation in all cases. In addition, the surface of h-BN flakes became highly active when the h-BN samples were etched by Co<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> and CuO catalysts. Building a precise model of greenhouse inside climate is important to a response of dynamic changes and achieve an efficient climate management strategy. However, it is difficult to apply prediction models because the greenhouse climate system considers as very complex and non-linear system. Among the different nonlinear modeling methods, neural network models are gradually becoming established but few papers detail greenhouse inside climate prediction by using time series neural network models. The aim of this research is to predict the internal temperature, relative humidity, and CO<sub>2</sub> concentrations by using the external climatic data and historical data of actuators action in the greenhouse with real tomato cultivation. In order to estimate a suitability of time sequence based model, nonlinear autoregressive exogenous input network (NARX) model was built for prediction of the greenhouse inside climate conditions. For the considered greenhouse, measurements have been taken through 45 days (2/15~3/31) during winter and spring seasonal climate in Korea. The developed NARX model obtained a satisfying training accuracy with 0.91. Moreover, the prediction performance of NARX model was successfully validated with RMSE values of 0.42, 1.36, and 8.82, for temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide concentrations, respectively.

Objectives: The purpose of this in vivo study is to observe anti-amnesic effects of Yeongkyekamjotanggayonggolmoryo (YGYM), a novel mixed herbal prescription, Ossis Mastodi and Ostreae Testa added Yeongkyekamjo-tang, on scopolamine induced amnesia in C57BL/6 mice through acetylcholine (ACh) and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, Choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) mRNA expression, and antioxidant effects. Methods: Six groups, total 20 intact or 100 Sco treated mice were used in this study after one week of acclimatization period. Half the animals were used for passive avoidance task tests and hippocampus ACh content, AChE activity, and ChAT mRNA expression were measured. The other half was subjected to an underwater maze test and then the cerebral cortex antioxidant defense system was measured. Results: In the passive avoidance experiment, there was significant decrease in residence time in the bright room and in the underwater maze test, escape latency to escape from the esophagus significantly increased compared with the normal control group. At the final sacrifice, ACh content and ChAT mRNA expression decreased, AChE activity increased, and cerebral cortical MDA increased GSH content, SOD and CAT activity in Sco control mice, as compared to intact vehicle control mice. However, these Sco treatment-related memory loss through AChE activation destroyed the cerebral cortex antioxidant defense system, and was inhibited dose-dependently by 28 days consecutive oral pretreatments of YGYM extracts 500, 250, 125 mg/kg. Conclusions: In the above results, YGYM extract that oral administration of YGYM extracts alleviates the antioxidant defense system, through preservation of ACh mediated by upregulation of ChAT mRNA expression, and increase of AChE inhibition and brain antioxidant defense systems.

Tic disorders are involuntary sudden, rapid, repetitive movements of muscles and sounds. 10 patients who were scheduled to receive herb therapy (Ukgansangagam) after the diagnosis of ticks at the `H` clinic in Suseong-gu, Daegu from March 2013 to August 2015, and 8 patients who did not have tick disease were included in the study. The following conclusions were obtained through comparative analysis. 1. α wave was significantly lower (p <0.05) in the FP2, F3, FZ, F4, FCZ, O1 and OZ channels. 2. β wave was significantly lower (p <0.05) in the tic disorder control group in the 28 channels of the 30 channels, including O1, OZ, and O2, P8, P7, P8, P7, P8, F7, F3, F4, F8, FT7, FC3, FCZ, FC4, FT8, T7, C3, CZ, C4, T8, TP7, CP3, CPZ, CP4, TP8, P7 channels. 3. θ wave was significantly (p <0.05) significantly higher in the tic disorder control group in all 30 channels of FP1, FP2, F7, F3, FZ, F4, F8, FT7, FC3, FCZ, FC4, FT8, T7, C3, CZ, C4, T8, TP7, CP3, CPZ, CP4, TP8, P7, P3, PZ, P4, P8, O1, OZ, O2. 4. δ wave was significantly (p <0.05) significantly higher in the tic disorder control group in the F7, P7, P4, P8, O1, OZ and O2 channels. Based on the present study, we hope to develop therapeutic methods and treatment regimens that have stabilized the EEG close to normal through further study of EEG changes such as herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment in the treatment of tic disorders.
췌장 Simple Mucinous Cyst 내 Hemosuccus Pancreaticus 1예

Hemosuccus pancreaticus is an unusual gastrointestinal hemorrhage through the main pancreatic duct. We report a rare case of hemosuccus pancreaticus due to a simple mucinous cyst of the pancreas. A 52-year-old man who had been followed-up for a sus-pected branch duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) visited the emergency room due to hematochezia. Endoscopy showed active bleeding from the ampulla. Computed tomography revealed hemorrhage in a 2.0-cm cystic mass in the pancreatic body. The patient was diagnosed with hemosuccus pancreaticus caused by bleeding into the main pancreatic duct from suspected IPMN. Elective laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy was performed. The histopathological diagnosis was a simple mucinous cyst with squamous metaplasia based upon the pathological finding involving the absence of ovarian-type stroma. In conclusion, it should be recognized that a pancreatic cyst including simple mucinous cyst may cause hemosuccus pancreaticus, and these cysts should be viewed as neoplastic and approached similarly as other mucinous pancreatic neoplasms. This study was designed to examine the effects of histamine on gastric motility and its specific receptor in the circular smooth muscle of the human gastric corpus. Histamine mainly produced tonic relaxation in a concentration-dependent and reversible manner, although histamine enhanced contractility in a minor portion of tissues tested. Histamine-induced tonic relaxation was nerve-insensitive because pretreatment with nerve blockers cocktail (NBC) did not inhibit relaxation. Additionally, $K^+$ channel blockers, such as tetraethylammonium (TEA), apamin (APA), and glibenclamide (Glib), had no effect. However, $N^G$-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME) and 1H-(1,2,4)oxadiazolo (4,3-A) quinoxalin-1-one (ODQ), an inhibitor of soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC), did inhibit histamine-induced tonic relaxation. In particular, histamine-induced tonic relaxation was converted to tonic contraction by pretreatment with L-NAME. Ranitidine, the $H_2$ receptor blocker, inhibited histamine-induced tonic relaxation. These findings suggest that histamine produced relaxation in circular smooth muscle of human gastric smooth muscle through $H_2$ receptor and NO/sGC pathways.
