This research deals with the wave transmission and dissipation problems for two dimensional regular waves and s vertical circular cylindersr. Using the unsteady mild slope equation, a numerical model has been developed to calculate the reflection and transmission of regular waves from a multiple-row vertical circular cylinders. In addition hydraulic model experiments have been conducted with different values of properties between the cylinders and opening ratio (distances) between the rows of the cylinders. It is found that the transmission coefficients decrease with decreasing the opening ratio and increasing the rows of vertical cylinders. Comparison between hydralic and numerical experiments results shows resonable agreement.

<P>Amphetamine (AP) and amphetamine-type stimulants, methamphetamine (MA) and N,N-dimethylamphetamine (DMA), are known as central nervous system stimulants, and their abuse throughout the world has recently increased. Since it is difficult to physically distinguish among AP, MA and DMA, analysts may not be aware of what abusers have administered. In this study, following the detection of specific metabolites of AP, MA and DMA as biomarkers in abuser urines, a rapid and sensitive method was developed for the identification and classification of AP-type stimulants abusers. After the simple filtration of the urine samples, the samples were directly analyzed using a liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry system with selected reaction monitoring (SRM)-triggered quantitation-enhanced data-dependent MS/MS (QED-MS/MS) for the simultaneous qualitative and quantitative analysis of p-hydroxy AP, p-hydroxy MA, p-hydroxy DMA, AP, MA, DMA and DMA N-oxide. The determination of p-hydroxy AP, p-hydroxy MA, AP, MA, DMA and DMA N-oxide was accurate and reproducible, with the limits of quantitation of 5 ng/mL in urine. When applied to the urine samples of suspected AP-type stimulants abusers, the abused drugs were precisely identified between MA and DMA abusers. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.</P>
Graphene Edges and Beyond: Temperature-Driven Structures and Electromagnetic Properties

<P>The atomic configuration of graphene edges significantly influences the various properties of graphene nanostructures, and realistic device fabrication requires precise engineering of graphene edges. However, the imaging and analysis of the intrinsic nature of graphene edges can be illusive due to contamination problems and measurement-induced structural changes to graphene edges. In this issue of <I>ACS Nano</I>, He <I>et al.</I> report an <I>in situ</I> heating experiment in aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy to elucidate the temperature dependence of graphene edge termination at the atomic scale. They revealed that graphene edges predominantly have zigzag terminations below 400 °C, while above 600 °C, the edges are dominated by armchair and reconstructed zigzag edges. This report brings us one step closer to the true nature of graphene edges. This paper uses a high degree automobile dynamic model to simulate better a real vehicle with an electronic control system based on Rapid-Control Prototyping (RCP). Using this model, this paper studies Anti-lock Brake System(ABS) to improve both braking and steering abilities. Current ABS uses consistent vertical force with a slip ratio, which is a difference between a vehicle's speed and a wheel's, from 0.1 to 0.3. However, because the maximum vertical force depends on a tire model's vertical force, the slip ratio was adjusted as vertical weight changes to improve ABS's performance.

The misuse of anabolic androgenic steroids is of particular concern in sports and society. Thus, it is of great importance to discriminate endogenous steroids such as testosterone or testosterone prohormones from their chemically identical synthetic copies. In this study, gas chromatography-combustion/isotope ratio mass spectrometric (GC.C/IRMS) method has been developed and validated for discriminating the origin of anabolic androgenic steroids. The method involves the solid-phase extraction, enzymatic hydrolysis with β-glucuronidase, HPLC-fractionation for the cleanup and analysis by GC.C/IRMS. The difference (.13C) of urinary δ13C values between synthetic analogues and endogenous reference compounds (ERC) by GC.C/IRMS was used to elucidate the origin of steroids, and intra- and inter-day precision, specificity and isotope fractionation were evaluated. The present GC.C/IRMS method combined with HPLC cleanup was accurate and reproducible enough to be successfully applied to the test of urine sample from suspected anabolic steroid abusers.

In recent, the automotive makers have produced the vehicles of many colours that chose by many people. But, if the beautiful painting parts on vehicle appear the variation of paint film by inferiority of paint and chemical effecting, they will be taken the bad influence because of a falling- off in quality. In this paper, the several examples produced in the field identified the fact that give large effect for paint system. The viscosity of coating material affect with paint film formation. When the paint part doesn't make uniform paint film because of lowering viscosity, it made identified inferiority phenomenon by running of paint. The adhesive property of paint surface is affected with roughness. It become so rough that well absorb the coating material. As a result, the researcher certified the phenomenon of orange peel that is collected with certain parts by paint film clod. When the researcher is adhered an alien substance adhesive with paint part during driving in the local where a pollutant contain in air, he identified the inferiority example of paint film because of chemical changing. When the driver keep his car for long time in a garage where is cut the air flowing, he certified the blistering phenomenon of paint film.
