This study aims at discovering the relationship between life Adaptation and Quality of Life with Sports Socialization by Golf Interest Group Members for Golf Practice Range . Objects for this study were adults who live in young-dong area as of 2008 and participate in Golf Interest Group Members for Golf Practice Range. 316 people were sampled through stratified cluster random sampling after sampling framework was set up. Only valid samples were encoded according to a certain coding guidelines. After inputting each of the coded data into computer, the researcher computed the data according to analytical purpose through the Statistics program of SPSS 14.0 version for Windows. On the basis of the above research method and findings, the induced conclusion was as follows: There were some reciprocal influences in the relationship between life Adaptation and Quality of Life with Sports Socialization Golf Interest Group Members for Golf Practice Range.

The most controversial topics in plasma sprayed ceramic coating systems are recently mechanical properties such as bond strength, cohesive strength, toughness and so on. In this research, critical fracture load(Pc) and interface toughness(Ks) of four coatings materials were computed from the applied load, crack length and Young's modulus data which were measured by micro-vickers and nano indentation test. It is reasonable to consider the Pc value as comparison data of bond strength, and the Kc value, considering a trace of indent in the interface, was computed by a modified (E/H)I<SUP>½</SUP> ratio. In the case of the high loads (9.8N and 19.6N) in the Al₂O₃+13%TiO₂ coating, the critical point(Pco) at which the coating was broken was found. Also, used by a XRD phase analysis, we checked a change of coating' s properties, predicting a possible change of the phases in plasma sprayed coating.

Direct effectiveness of pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine against invasive pneumococcal disease and non-bacteremic pneumococcal pneumonia in elderly population in the era of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine: A case-control study

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Background</B></P> <P>While herd effects and serotype replacement by childhood pneumococcal protein conjugated vaccines (PCVs) continues to accumulate worldwide, direct effectiveness of 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPV23) against pneumococcal diseases in the elderly has been challenged. We estimated the direct effectiveness of PPV23 in the elderly population.</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>For a hospital-based case-control study, cases of invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) and non-bacteremic pneumococcal pneumonia (NBPP) (adults ≥ 65 years) were identified in 14 hospitals participated in the pneumococcal surveillance program from March 2013 to October 2015, following implementation of PPV23 national immunization program (NIP) for the elderly in the Republic of Korea. Controls matched by age, sex, and hospital were selected at ratios of 1:2 (IPD) or 1:1 (NBPP). Clinical data and vaccination records were collected. Vaccine effectiveness was calculated as (1-adjusted odds ratio) × 100.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>We enrolled 148 IPD and 557 NBPP cases, and 295 IPD and 557 NBPP controls for analyses. Overall effectiveness of PPV23 against IPD was 28.5% [95% confidence interval (CI) −5.8%–51.6%] and against NBPP was 10.2% (-15.1-30.6) in all patients ≥ 65 years. However, in subgroup analysis of patients aged 65–74 years, PPV23 was protective against IPD [effectiveness 57.4% (19.4–77.5)] and against NBPP [effectiveness 35.0% (2.3–56.7)]. Furthermore, serotype-specific effectiveness of PPV23 against IPD was 90.6% (27.6–98.8) for PPV23-unique serotypes and 81.3% (38.6–94.3) for PPV23 serotypes excluding serotype 3.</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>This study indicates that PPV23 with broad serotype coverage might be beneficial in preventing IPD and NBPP due to non-PCV13 serotypes in the young-elderly, with potentially increasing effectiveness in the setting of childhood PCV NIP.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> National immunization program for PPV23 for the elderly was implemented in Korea. </LI> <LI> PPV23 was effective against IPD and NBPP for young elderly patients aged 65–74. </LI> <LI> Effectiveness of PPV23 against IPD was higher for PPV23 unique serotypes. </LI> <LI> PPV23 was non-protective against IPD caused by PCV13 serotypes. </LI> </UL> </P>

In this paper, a simple 2 D.O.F. planar motion model is proposed in order to analyze the snake motion of a cross head assembly travelling on linear huide rails. In the proposed mathematical model, the head assembly and a ball screw are assumed to be rigid, but the rear-panel of the machining center is assumed to be flexible. The equations of motion of the proposed model are derived and solved by Runge-Kutta method to determine vibration responses of the head assembly due to some applied traction forces.

Lately,the study of the soil behavior and mainly related to the degree of saturation. But most soils in the ground actually exist not in the saturated condition but in the unsaturated one. The foundation bases adn the soils used for construction material are almost such unsaturated soil as granite soil in Korea. The griaxial test are used in order to examine the strength characters of the unsaturated soil in this research, reappeared in-situ field condition for the undaturated soil through the UU-test in the laboratory and examined strength character. Simultaneous detection method for measuring anions in drinking water except sulfate ion was developed by suppressed ion chromatography. Eluent with existing composition between carbonate and bicarbonate made the separation of early eluting anions poor. Therefore, it is necessary to use weaker eluent to increase the resolution of them. However, this caused elution time of sulfate ion to take long, consquantely, total pinning time was more than 60 minutes. In order to resolve this problem by use of column switching with guard column for trapping sulfate ion, the resolution of the rest 8 anions was enhanced, total running time was also shortened within 10 minutes. Usage of eluent with existing composition made possible determination of sulfate ion on guard column within 4 minutes. Calibration curves of 8 anions represented linearity of better than 0.999 and detection limits by this method of all the anions considered were between 0.04 and 0.002 mg/L

소양호의 어류군집 동태

2001년 4월부터 2002년 9월까지 소양호의 어류군집 동태를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 조사된 어류는 총 11과 38종이었다. 한국 고유종은 P. tenuicorpus, C. splendidus, S. gracilis majimae, S. japonicus coreanus, H. mylodon, G. brevibarba, M. yaluensis, M. longidorsalis, C. koreensis, C. rotundieaudata, S. microdorsalis, P. koreanus, L. andersoni, C. herzi, O. patycephala 등 15종(40.54%)이었다. 우점종은 Z. platypus(39.60%), H. olidus(39.47%), S. gracilis majimae(12.24%), S. japonics coreanus(2.11%), P. fulvidraco(1.48%), L. macrochirus(1.40%) 등이었다. 채집된 어종들의 생체량을 보면 Z. platypus가 19.48㎏, H. olidus로 8.75㎏, C.cuvieri 7.42㎏, L. maeroehirus 7.39㎏, H. labeo 6.85㎏의 순으로 나타났다. 소양호에서 확인된 도입종은 A. japonica, H. eigenmanni, H. olidus, P. altivelis, C. urotaenius, R. giurinus, T. brevispinis, C. carpio(Israeli type), c. euvieri, Onchorhynchus mykiss, L. macrochirus, M. salmoides, I. puntatus 등 13종이었다. 이 중 C. carpio(Israeli type), C. cuvieri, Onchorhynchus mykiss, L macrochirus, M. salmoides, I. puntatus는 국외종이며, A. japonica, H. eigenmanni, H. olidus, P. altivelis, C. urotaenius, R. giurinus, T. brevispinis 등은 국내 다른 하천ㅇ로부터 유입된 종이다. The dynamics of the fish community in Lake Soyang, Korea, was investigated from April 2001 to September 2002. During the surveyed period 38 species belonging 11 families were collected. There were 15 Korean endemic species 39.47%, including Pseudopungtungia tenuicorpus, Coreoleuciscus splendidus, Squalidus gracilis majimae, S. japonicus coreanus, Hemibarbus mylodon, Gobiobotia brevibarba, Microphysogobio yaluensis, Microphysogobio longidorsalis, Iksookimia koreensis, Iksookimia rotundicaudata, Silurus microdorsalis, Pseudobagrus koreanus, Liobagrus andersoni, Coreoperca herzi, and Odontobutis platycephala. Dominant species were Zacco platypus (39.60%), Hypomesus olidus (31.70%), Squalidus gracilis majimae (12.24%), Squalidus japonicus coreanus (2.11%), Pseudobagrus fulvidraco (1.48%) and Lepomis macrochirus (1.40%). The biomass of collected fishes were Zacco platypus (19.48 ㎏), Hypomes olidus (8.75 ㎏), Carassilus cuvieri (7.42 ㎏), Lepomis macrochirus (7.39 ㎏) and Hemibarbus labeo (6.85 ㎏). Of the 13 introduced fishes in Lake Soyang Cyprinus carpio (israeli type), Carassius cuvieri, Onchorhynchus mykiss, Lepomis macrochirus, Micropterus salmoides and Ictalurus puntatus were originated from foreign countries but Anguilla japonica, Hemiculter eigenmanni, Hypomesus olidus, Plecoglossus altivelis, Chaenogobius urotaenius, Rhinogobius giurinus. Thridentiger brevispinis were introduced from other native river systems.

It is usual that the medical examination of human body need special knowledge and equipments. Thus we have to spend time and energy on going to special place such as hospital where doctors and equipment are. Which often cause missing a good chance of medical treatment as well as giving us inconvenience. However may simple and convenient equipments were developed for checking our health conditions recently. O-ring test is accepted as one of useful methods to examine our health conditions. Also the test is recognized as a useful means to judge if some medical substances or foods are beneficial or harmful to our health without any special equipment and medical knowledge. An automatic O-ring test machine has been developed[11]. However the tester have a problem that the pattern of applied force to the O-ring is different from that of manual case. In this study, the reaction force tip is modified and the validity of the tip is verified through experiments.
