Hot Deformation Behavior and Recrystallization Mechanism in an As-Cast CoNi-Based Superalloy
Yong Guan,Yongchang Liu,Zongqing Ma,Huijun Li,Hongyao Yu 대한금속·재료학회 2022 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.28 No.6
The hot deformation behavior of as-cast CoNi-based superalloy was investigated by means of hot compression tests. Thecorresponding microstructure evolution after hot deformation was examined by optical microscope, as well as the TEMtechnique. The constitutive equation and processing map as a function of deformation temperature and strain rate were developed. Results show that the efficiency peak of the processing map is 0.38 at the temperature of 1130 °C and the strain rate of0.01 s−1. The discontinuous dynamic recrystallization (DDRX) related to the strain-induced grain boundary migration (SIBM)is the dominant recrystallization mechanism during hot working. Meanwhile, the DRX also occurs by forming sub-grainsaround MC carbides and shear band. In addition, the existence of fine γ′ precipitates are found to retard the recrystallization.

This study investigated the phenomena of membrane fouling by NOM and the effect of the fouling on removal of micro-pollutants. NOM has a great effect on decline of permeate flux. Permeate flow rate was reduced by 88% in RO and 34.8% in NF for 323hr operation period. Removal rate of UV_(254), is 87.4% in RO and 78.5% in NF and removal rate of DOC is 42.7% in RO and 32.9% in NF for 2㎎/l humic acid. Removal efficiency of the micmpollutants by the RO and NF membranes fouled by humic acid was mostly lower than that by the new membrane. The concentration polarization which affects the flux and the rejection was thought to occur in the active layer of the membrane, as the membrane was getting fouled.

This paper mainly studies the relationship between financial development, inbound tourism development, and economic growth rate in Fujian Province, China. This study uses the data of real GDP, foreign exchange income from international tourism, and financial interrelations ratio from 1994 to 2019. In the analysis process, the Johansen cointegration test is first used to analyze whether the three have a long-term equilibrium relationship. Then the vector error correction model is established to test the restrictive relationship among the three. Next, the Granger causality test assesses whether the three have a causal relationship. Finally, the contribution rate of the three is analyzed by variance decomposition. The above methods show the following conclusions: first, the three have a long-term equilibrium relationship. Secondly, in the short term, local economic growth is constrained by inbound tourism and financial development. Thirdly, there is a causal relationship between economic growth and inbound tourism in Fujian, while there is a unidirectional causal relationship between financial development and economic growth, financial development, and inbound tourism. Fourthly, the contribution rate of inbound tourism to economic growth fluctuations in Fujian is higher than that of financial development.

Yong Liu,Qing Zhou,Yan-Mei He,Xiu-Yun Ma,Lin-Na Liu,Yong-Jian Ke 한국화학공학회 2021 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.38 No.8
Gardenia yellow pigment (GYP) loaded alginate beads were prepared by the ionic gelation technique, and the preparation parameters were optimized by response surface methodology for high encapsulation efficiency. The optimized parameters were alginate concentration of 3.3%, CaCl2 concentration of 2.4%, and GYP concentration of 3.2mg/mL, under which the encapsulation efficiency was 73.61%. The surface morphology and bead size analysis showed that the GYP-loaded alginate beads had a roughly spherical morphology with a wrinkled surface, and their average diameter was 0.87 mm. In vitro release test revealed that the GYP release had a pH-dependent release profile and a two-step release process. The Rigter-Peppas model was the most proper model to assess the GYP release from alginate beads. The release mechanism of GYP at pH 1.2 and 7.4 was non-Fickian transport and case-II transport, respectively. The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl assay indicated that the encapsulated GYP had effectively maintained 82.56% of the antioxidant activity.

A class of Brønsted–Lewis acid bifunctionalized ionic liquids based heteropolyacid hybrid (BLA-ILs-HPA)solid acids were developed by combining the double sulfonic groups grafted, ionic liquids basedheteropolyacid hybrid with Lewis acidic centers (M = Zn, Co, Fe, Ni, Cu). The prepared BLA-ILs-HPA showboth Brønsted and Lewis acidic sites with extremely-high acid strength and enhanced stabilities, asdetermined by FT-IR, Py-IR, TG, XPS and 31P solid state NMR results. BLA-ILs-HPA were successfullyapplied in esterification camphene with acetic acid to produce isobornyl acetate, and dehydration ofglucose to produce 5-hydrozymethylfural. BLA-ILs-HPA show enhanced catalytic activities in comparisonwith various acid catalysts. The effects of reaction temperatures, initial reactant molar ratio, catalystdosage, and reaction time were studied in detail. The optimal reaction conditions were obtained, and theexperimental data was successfully correlated by a pseudohomogeneous (PH) reaction kinetic model inthe temperature range of 313.15–333.15 K. The calculated values obtained by the reaction kinetic modelwere in good agreement with the experimental data. Moreover, as a heterogeneous reaction catalyst,BLA-ILs-HPA can be recovered by simple treatment. After six times cycling, the decreasing in the catalyticactivity of BLA-ILs-HPA could not be observed significantly, suggesting their good reusability.

The optimization of aldose reductase (AR) expression levels and tracking of the AR expression sites within the cell is an essential step in developing a platform for the effective production of aldose reductase inhibitors (ARIs). In this study, we have demonstrated the use of both immunocytochemistry and quantum dots-based immunofluorescence techniques for observing and detecting the expression level and localization of AR in the cytoplasm and cell membrane of a eukaryotic cell model with high levels of AR protein expression. Our results show that high expression levels of human AR can be achieved using the eukaryotic cell model that we have developed. The overexpressed AR can be used for translational studies of hAR and the screening of ARIs. More importantly, the use of the established quantum dots-based immunofluorescence technique in the intracellular labeling of AR allows the determination of the expression and distribution of the AR gene. Overall, the use of the interdisciplinary approach of both genetic engineering and quantum dot-based immunofluorescence allows not only the effective production of a desired protein, but also the determination of the cellular localization of such an expressed protein.

Low-frequency noise (LFN) in double-gate (DG) In-Ga-Zn-O (IGZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) is studied to investigate the origin of performance improvement. We found that thinning down the IGZO film enhances such improvements. With 7-nm IGZO, the mobility is raised by a factor of 3.77, and the subthreshold slope is reduced to 0.17 V/decade from single-gate to DG mode. Device simulations show that bulk transport inside IGZO film emerges as the two gates field effects get coupled. The LFN results reveal a transport transition from surface to bulk and disclose the superior bulk transport that experiences slight phonon scattering with a small Hooge parameter alpha(H) = 4.44 x 10(-3), whereas the surface transport undergoes serious charge trapping with surface trap densities about 2 x 10(11) eV(-1)cm(-2).

Dipeptidyl peptidase IV inhibitor attenuates kidney injury in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats.
Liu, Wei Jing,Xie, Shu Hua,Liu, Yu Ning,Kim, Won,Jin, Heung Yong,Park, Sung Kwang,Shao, Yi Ming,Park, Tae Sun Williams Wilkins 2012 The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Thera Vol.340 No.2

Dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP) IV inhibitors are probably beneficial for preventing diabetic complication and modulating glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) expression. The aim of this study was to determine whether the DPP IV inhibitor LAF237 (vildagliptin) has renoprotective qualities in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Diabetic and nondiabetic rats were treated with an oral dose of 4 or 8 mg/kg/day LAF237 or placebo for 24 weeks, and renal injury was observed by light and electron microscopy. We also assessed DPP IV activity, active GLP-1 level, cAMP and 8-hydroxy-deoxyguanosine excretion, and GLP-1R, cleaved caspase 3, and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) expression. LAF237 significantly decreased proteinuria, albuminuria, and urinary albumin/creatinine ratio, improved creatinine clearance, and dose-dependently inhibited interstitial expansion, glomerulosclerosis, and the thickening of the glomerular basement membrane in diabetic rats. It is noteworthy that LAF237 markedly down-regulated DPP IV activity and increased active GLP-1 levels, which probably prevented oxidative DNA damage and renal cell apoptosis by activating the GLP-1R and modulating cAMP. Renoprotection was also associated with a reduction in TGF-β1 overexpression. Our study suggests that DPP IV inhibitors may ameliorate diabetic nephropathy as well as reduce the overproduction of TGF-β1. The observed renoprotection is probably attributable to inhibition of DPP IV activity, mimicking of incretin action, and activation of the GLP-1R.
