During midloop operation of nuclear power to prevent the residual heat removal system from failure due to air entrainment of free surface vortex in the piping system a set of simulating experiments was performed. Through these experiments, a relation between the nondimensionalized numbers, such as submergence H/d. Froude number, Reynolds number, was found. However, the effect of the Reynolds number is not so dominant as that of the Froude number. It was also found that the boundary conditions of the free surface, that is, the perturbation of the free surface due to opening of closing pump and valves have significant effects on the free surface vortex. Futhermore a modified inlet device which reducer type with vortex breaker has strongly been recommended for the prevention of air entrainment.

현재 국내에서 시판중인 의류용 세탁 분말세제 6종을 대상으로 미생물에 의해 분해될 수 있는 정도를 파악하기 위한 생분해도(Biodegradability)를 측정하고 동시에 인체에도 직접적인 영향을 미치는 중금속(Pb,Cd,As 및 Hg)를 분석하였다. 분석결과 전제품이 KS 기준에 모두 적합하였으나 석유계 계면활성제인 AOS 또는 LAS가 다량 포함 되어있는 제품에서는 상대적으로 생분해도가 낮다는 것을 알 수 있으며 중금속 함유량은 제품 6종 모두 화장품 원료기준에 훨씬 못미치는 우수한 제품인 것을 알 수 있었다. As the subject of study of six kinds of laundry powder detergents for clothing that come into the domestic market at present, the biodegradabilities to understand the extent of microorganisms decomposition were measured and the heavy metals(Pb, Cd, As and Hg) to have a direct effect on human body were analyzed. Analysis results show that though they all suit KS(Korean Industrial Standards) well, powder detergents containing plenty of petroleum surface active agents have the lower biodegradability than the others and Heavy metal contents are that all of them are very good at the cosmetic material standards.

Background : The bc1-2 protein, contrast to p53, has been shown to be suppress the apoptosis, and overexpression of the bc1-2 protein has been reported in several malignant tumors. Although how the bc1-2 protein takes part in tumorgenesis has not been proved, the bc1-2 positive tumors appeared to have good prognosis in some malignant tumors. The expression pattern of the bc1-2 in keratinocyte originated skin tumors have not been well known. The authors analyzed immunohistochemically expression of the bc1-2 protein to invastigate the role of the bc1-2 protein in developing skin tumors. Method : 21 squamous cell carcinoma, 19 basal cell carcinoma, 9 keratoacanthoma 11 seborrehic keratosis and 9 Bowen's disease were immunostained with anti-bc1-2 monoclonal antibody. Results : 1. The bc1-2 negative reactions were seen in all cases of sqaumous cell carcinoma, keratoacanthoma and Bowen's disease. The basal layer in keratoacanthoma and Bowen's disease shown to be intense positive reaction in bc1-2, whch suggested of the protected barrier function from tumor cell invasion into the dermis. 2. The bc1-2 were positive in all basal cell carcinoma. 3. In seborreheic keratosis, 9 cases were negative and 2 cases were positive. The positive cases appeared to be resulted from invagination of the basal cells in the epidermis. Conclusion : The bc1-2 protein did not appear to express in full matures cell, but positive reaction are seen in proliferating activity cells. The bc1-2 positive cells are rahter not abnormal cells than have function of protection of tumor cell proliferation by the prolongation of survival time normal cell.
대칭형 보에 의해 보강된 등방성 평판의 음향방사에 관한 연구

The determination of sound pressure radiated from peoriodic plate structures is fundamental in the estimation of noise levels in aircraft fuselages and ship hull structures. As a robust approach to this problem, here a very general and comprehensive analytical model for predicting the sound radiated by a vibrating plate stiffened by periodically spaced orthogonal symmetric beams subjected to a sinusoidally time varying point load is developed. The plate is assumed to be infinite in extent, and the beams are considered to exert both line force and moment reactions on it. Structural damping is included in both plate and beam materials. A space harmonic series representation of the spatial variables is used in conjunction with the Fourier transform to find the sound pressure in terms of harmonic coefficients. From this theoretical model, The sound pressure levels on axis in a semi-infinite fluid (water) bounded by the plate with the variation in the loactions of an external time harmonic point force on the plate can be calculated efficiently using three numerical tools such as the Gauss-Jordan method, the LU decomposition method and the IMSL numerical package.

After the authors tried to find their interrelations between somatotype and maximum muscular strength in eight male graduate students of D. University, the main results obtained were as follows; 1. The correlation coefficient between endomorphic component and maximum muscular strength was revealed as the certainly correlation. r=0.40, Y=1.494x+30.98, Sy.x=4.80. 2. The correlation coefficient between mesomorphic component and maximum muscular strength turned out a significantly high correlation at the level of 5 percent, r=0.70(p<0.05), Y=2.218x+27.08, Sy.x=3.74. 3. The correlation coefficient between ectomorphic component and maximum muscular strength was revealed as a high neqative correlation at the level of five percent, r=0.75(p<0.05), Sy.x=3.58. 4. As their mean somatotype, the graduate students group was revealed as Mesomorph-Endomorph. (S=4.81-5.00-1.75).

We use the IDI type constant volume which is applied Indirect Injection strafied charge method to solve the problems of lean-burn such as misfire and cycle-variation. There are many factors to effect on the combustion charateristics in indirect injection strafied engine. The passagehole angle is the most important factor in that determine the direction of inflowed fuel and flame to the main chamber. In this study, we measured combustion pressure and wall temperature to examine the combustion characteristics and heat flux with the passagehole angle in the main chamber.
