Pedestrian fatalities account for about 44% of all traffic accident fatalities in Korea. In this paper, a series of pedestrian kinematic simulation were conducted to evaluate pedestrian's injury levels. MADYMO's 50%th dummy and 6 year pedestrian dummy were used for 29 domestic vehicle shapes. Results from the simulations, the influence factors such as impact speed, impact angle were evaluated as well as upper and lower leg fracture probabilities based on 50% injury risk.

This study investigates the positive and negative aspects of bullbar with regard to road trauma through assessment of the headfoam impact test and analysis of pedestrian crash.
The experimental data showed that bullbars pose a great risk in the event of low speed impacts with unprotected road users such as pedestrians.
All of steel bullbar tested have been shown to have a high risk of causing life threatening brain injuries in impacts with the head of children or serious injuries to the abdomen and chest of adults and taller children, even in low speed impact.
Despite the fact that safety appears to be a major reason for fining bullbars, no results were found which attempted to quantify the safety benefits of bullbar.
Pedestrian fatalities account for about 44% of all traffic accident fatalities in Korea. In this paper, a series of child headform test and simulation were conducted to evaluate pedestrian protection test protocol describes in the EEVC and IHRA. The developed 2.5㎏ and 3.5㎏ child headform impactors were used to evaluate the effectiveness of these test rigs in the hood component. Results from the simulations, the influence factors such as impact speed, impact angle and headform sizes were evaluate in terms of HIC.

Nowadays a rail safety rise a social issue. This research is analysis between train and worker, set a scenario for build collision analysis system by MADYMO. This research has the purpose of what design the rescue equipment for reduce injury when crash between train and worker.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a concept of automobile's seat design to reduce occupant's neck injury in rear impacts.
Three parametric studies were performed to find relationship between occupant's neck injury and seat-back characteristics with MADYMO software.
This study shows the effect of relative velocity between strike and struck vehicle with same seat-back characteristics, the effect of seat-back stiffness, and the effect of stiffness of the rotational joint connecting seat-bottom with seat-back on occupant neck injury in rear impacts.
Relative velocity changes of 20km/h, 27km/h, 33km/h, and 39km/h were applied for the simulation. And seat-back stiffness and joint stiffness were increased by 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 200, and 300% from baseline, respectively.

The computer simulation techniques were adopted to evaluate effects of seating positions of passenger under the various accident scenarios. The baseline of compuer simulation model was tunned by the sled impact tests which conducted under the upright and standard seating positions. This study shows the effect of relative velocity between occupant and struck vehicle while occupant is impacted to a front seat"s seatback. Although, base on the current accident scenarios, KHST is performed well enough to protect average adult male occupants. However, Results from the tests indicate small size occupant or higher impact speed may cause sever neck and femur injuries.
