        Norditerpenoid Alkaloids and Other Components from the Processed Tubers ofAconitum carmichaeli

        A new norditerpenoid and a known alkaloid were isolated from the alkaloidal fraction of the processed tubers of Aconitum carmichaeli. The structure of the new norditerpenoid alkaloid was elucidated as lipoforesaconitine (1) on the basis of spectroscopic analysis. The known norditerpenoid alkaloid was characterized as lipoyunanaconitine (2). In addition, a new flavonoid, 6''-O-acetylliquiritin (7), along with a known ceramide, (2S,3S,4R,8E)-2-[(2'R)-2'- hydroxylignoceroylamino]-8(E)-octadecene-1,3,4-triol (3), as well as a known steroid saponin, gracillin (8), and three known flavonoids, liquiritigenin (4), isoliquiritigenin (5), and liquiritin (6), were also isolated and characterized. All known compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time. The structures of the isolates were established by spectroscopic and chemical methods.

      • 부모양육태도가영아정서지능발달에미치는영향

        가정은 영아들의 사회성이 형성되는 곳으로 가정에서의 부모의 교육과 역할은 매우 중요하다. 그러나 급격한 산업화로 인한 사회변화 현상으로 여성의 사회진출은 증가하고 가정은 기능에서 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 양육태도와 아버지의 양육태도가 정서지능에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 영아 시기는 정서 지능을 발달시키는데 중요한 시기임을 알고 좀 더 영아의 정서 지능에 관련된 연구가 폭넓게 마련될 필요가 있다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌연구를 통한 실증적 연구를 시행하였다. Home is where the social nature of infants is formed and parents' education and role in the home is very important. However, due to the social changes caused by rapid industrialization, women's advancement into society increased and families brought about many changes in function. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of mother's upbringing and father's upbringing on emotional intelligence, to find out that the infant period is an important time for developing emotional intelligence, and more studies related to the emotional intelligence of infants need to be made widely. The method of this study was to conduct empirical research through the study of literature.

        고등학교 피부 미용 교과서 분석 - 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 중심으로

        This study analyzed the problems of skin beauty textbooks used in high school based on the NCS ability unit, and was to improve them. By the NCS standard, it focuses on the contents which can be learned during the high school course. The main results are as follows. First, the revision of textbooks is to contain NCS competency unit, which is excluded in spite of being taught. Second, Replacement is required for NCS 5 level beyond the high school. Third, the illustrated and photographic materials is revised to improve the understanding by maintaining consistency and visibility. Fourth, the contents on the practical skill need specific explanations and instructional materials. Fifth, to revise terminology and the notation system is needed in skin care. The results of this study can be used as basic data to develop an NCS learning module in the skin care field and high school textbooks. 본 연구는 현재 고등학교에서 사용되는 피부 미용 교과서를 NCS 능력 단위를 기준으로, 고등학교 교과서의 문제점과 개선방안에 대해 분석하였다. NCS 기준을 바탕으로 고등학교 과정 동안 습득 가능한 내용의 포함 여부 및 내용의 적합성을 중심으로 분석하였으며 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학교 기간동안 학습이 가능지만 누락된 NCS 능력 단위를 추가하는 방향으로 개편이 필요하다. 둘째, 고등학교 수준을 벗어난 NCS 능력 단위 5 수준은 교체 작업이 필요하다. 셋째, 삽화 자료와 사진 자료는 학습의 이해를 돕기 위하여 선명도와 일관성을 유지하는 방향으로 개선이 필요하다. 넷째, 교과서의 실습과 관련된 내용들은 구체적인 설명과 이와 관련된 학습자료의 첨부가 요구된다. 다섯째, 피부 미용에서 사용되는 전문용어의 개념 정리와 표기 방식에 대한 논의가 필요하다. 본 연구의 결과는 피부 미용 분야 NCS 학습 모듈 개발과 고등학교 피부 미용 교과서의 개선방안을 모색하는데 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다. 연구의 한계점으로 학습 대상자의 견해를 반영되지 못한 부분이 있다. 학생들의 교과서에 대한 만족도 및 개선방안에 대한 견해를 살펴보는 후속 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

        Global Regulators to Activate Silent Biosynthetic Gene Clusters

        Genome mining has recently emerged as a powerful strategy to discover novel microbial secondary metabolites. However, more than 50% of biosynthetic gene clusters are not transcribed under standardized laboratory culture condition. Several methods have been applied to activate silent biosynthetic gene clusters in the microbes so far. Among the regulatory systems for production of secondary metabolites, global regulators, which affect transcription of genes through regulatory cascades, typically govern the production of small molecules. In this review, global regulators to affect production of microbial secondary metabolites were discussed.

        Anti-oomycete Activity of Furanocoumarins from Seeds of Psoralea corylifolia against Phytophthora infestans

        In the course of a searching natural antifungal compounds from plant seeds, we found that the methanol extract of Psoralea corylifolia seeds showed potent control efficacy against tomato late blight caused by Phytophthora infestans and wheat leaf rust Puccinia recondita. Under bioassay-guided purification, we isolated two furanocoumarins, psoralen and isopsoralen, with anti-oomycete activity against P. infestans. By 1- day protective application, both compounds strongly reduced the disease development of P. infestans on tomato seedlings, but hardly controlled development of leaf rust on wheat seedlings. This is the first report on the anti-oomycete activity of P. corylifolia as well as that of psoralen and isopsoralen.

        내소승마탕(內消升麻湯)의 항암효과(抗癌效果) 연구(硏究)

        This study was carried out to evaluate antioxidative, cytotoxic and chemosensitizing effects for anti-tumor activities of Naesosungma-tang (NST). The results were as follows ; 1. The oxidative effects were measured by DPPH radical scavenging activity. NST water extract was showed more effective than ethanol extract and also various solvent fractions from NST showed effective in the following order : butanol fraction > ethyl acetate fraction > hexane fraction > aqueous fraction. 2. NST water extract was showed cytotoxic effects on the human cancer cells Calu-6 cell and SNU-601 cell, but not on MCF-7 cell. 3. The viability of cells was measured in 4 kinds of solvent fractions from water extract of NST by MTT assay. The results were as followings : 1) On the NIH3T3 cell, $IC_{50}$ value was $200{\sim}300\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ in three fractions except aqueous fraction. 2) On the Caco-2 cell, effective only in the butanol fraction. 3) On the Calu-6 cell, most effective in hexane fraction($IC_{50}:80\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$) and effective in ethyl acetate and butanol fraction($IC_{50}:100{\sim}120\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$). 4) On the MCF-7 cell, $IC_{50}$ value was similar in three fractions except aqueous fraction. 5) On the SNU-601 cell, $IC_{50}$ value was within $100\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ in three fractions except aqueous fraction. 6) On the HCT-1l6 cell, $IC_{50}$ value was $150{\sim}200\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ in three fractions except aqueous fraction. 7) On the AML-2/WT cell, not effective in four kinds of solvent fractions. 4. In combined effects of NST and vincristine on AML-2/D100 cell, water and ethanol extracts of NST and hexane fraction of water extracts of NST more effectively inhibited proliferation of AML-2/D100 cell. These results Suggest that NST has antioxidative and cytotoxic effects against Caco-2, Calu-6, MCF-7, SNU-601, HCT116 and NIH3T3 cell especially Calu-6 and SNU-601 cell, and also chemosensitizing effects against AML-2/D100 cell in combined vincristine.

        淸肌散加減을 응용한 한포진 환자 치험 1례

        Dyshidrotic eczema is a eczema making vesicles at the hand and foot with pruritus, tend to chronically recurred. It is caused to retention of Damp-heat in interior(濕熱蘊積), interior heat due to Yin deficiency(陰虛內熱) in Oriental medicine. We treated a patient who suffered from recurred dyshidrotic eczema differentiated with retention of Damp-heat in interior(濕熱蘊積) with Chunggisangagam(淸肌散加減). After about 30 days of treatment with Chunggisangagam(淸肌散加減), acupunture and aroma therapy, we observed an improvement. Based on this experience, it is considered that the Oriental medicine can be applied to the treatment of dyshidrotic eczema.

        Control Efficacy of Phloretin Isolated from Apple Fruits Against Several Plant Diseases

        In the course of a searching natural antifungal compounds from plant sources, we found that the methanol extract (3,000 μg/ml) of Malus domestica fruits had potential of control against rice blast (Magnaporthe grisea) and tomato late blight (Phytophthora infestans). Under bioassay-guided purification, we isolated phloretin,a phenolic compound, with in vivo antifungal activity against M. grisea. By 1-day protective application of phloretin (500 μg/ml), the compound strongly inhibited the disease development of M. grisea and P. infestans on rice and tomato seedlings, respectively. And red pepper anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum coccodes also was moderately suppressed. However, rice sheath blight (Rhizoctonia solani AG1), and barley powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis f. sp. hordei) were hardly controlled. In addition, the compound showed in vitro antifungal activity against some plant pathogenic fungi including Phytophthora capsici, Alternaria panax,Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, R. solani AG4, and M. grisea. This is the first report on the antifungal activity of phloretin against plant pathogenic fungi.
