In order to study the architectural trend and problems of the development-type rural house of light frame wooden structure, this research considered rural houses and the characters of wooden houses, analyzed the architectural trend of rural houses of light frame wooden structure, surveyed and analyzed examples of the development-type rural houses of light frame wooden structure. The process of developing houses of wooden structure is divided into selection of the site, design and execution of work and its details include selection of the architectural designer, architectural design, contractor and execution of work. In this process rural houses are divided into the following two architectural types.

Concerns about depletion of fossil fuels and global warming have led to increased attention to renewable energy. Photosynthetic conversion of CO2 to biomass and useful chemicals can address energy and environmental issues. We applied microscale strategies to analyze responses of microalgal cells to various external stimuli at the level of individual cells. Using these approaches, we found that phototactic and chemotactic responses of microalgae have strong relationships with their photosynthetic efficiency. Also suggests that microalgae utilize tactic response to obtain optimum energy by changing their position. The high-throughput screening strategy was developed as a shortcut to isolation of strains with improved photosynthetic efficiency. In addition, we developed to select the improved strains with carbon uptake and photosynthetic efficiency using integrated screening system. These approaches will improve photosynthetic productivity of microalgae.

Objective : To investigate the prognostic factors associated with outcome in patients with ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament. Method : During the past 4 years, we have operated on 35 patients with cervical OPLL. Anterior cervical decompression(total or subtotal corpectomy, discectomy, and removal of the OPLL) and interbody fusion with iliac bone were performed in all patients. Results : Eight cases(22.9%) were continuous type, 11(31.4%) segmental, 13(37.1%) Mixed, and 3(8.6%) localized type. Thirty-two patients(91.4%) showed an excellent or good results. Conclusion : These results indicate that surgical treatment should be considerated in case of clinical grading higher than II and the surgical outcome is worse when duration of preoperative symptom is longer and when percentage of spinal narrowing is higher. Anterior cervical decompression and interbody fusion seems to be a better method in patients with lesions limited to one or two level. Age at surgery did not significantly affect the outcom.

Hydrogen (H2) has the highest gravimetric energy density among previously known fuels and is compatible with electrochemical and combustion process for energy conversion without evolving carbon-based emissions that lead to environmental pollution and green house effect. Numerous methodologies have been developed for effective hydrogen production. Among them, the biological hydrogen production has gained attention because hydrogen can be produced by cellular metabolism under the presence of water and sunlight. Green algae is one of the microorganisms, which can produce hydrogen. Green algae has photosynthetic system like that of plants, therefore they can produce hydrogen using carbon dioxide as carbon source, sunlight as energy source, and water as electron donor. Hydrogen production by the green algae is catalyzed by hydrogenase, an enzyme that has activity only under anaerobic condition. Hydrogenase activation is prerequisite to produce hydrogen by the green algae. But the hydrogenase has severe oxygen sensitivity and is easily inactivated by photosynthetic oxygen evolution. This problem can be overcome by separating photosynthetic oxygen evolution and anaerobic hydrogen production.

The demand and supply for suburb housing has recently increased drastically. Existing studies on suburb housing have mainly done on the development types of the housing rather than the architectural characteristics. So this study is focused on the architectural aspects and analyzed types of the plan of light weight wood frame in the housing. As the result, types of the plan are analyzed into the type of hall-center and that of living room-center.
