Xylobiose (X2) is recognized to possess great prebiotic function and to be highly favorable for applicationin food and prebiotic industries. In this study, we demonstrated that the cloned b-xylosidase of Bacilluspumilus IPO could be utilized to produce X2 via the reaction of xylose(X1)!xylobiose(X2). The use ofsuch enzyme in the X1!X2 reaction was found to give much higher X2 reaction yield and reactionefficiency, compared to those reported in the literature. Furthermore, we developed an efficientsimulated moving bed (SMB) chromatographic process that could recover X2 from the reaction outputwith nearly 100% purity and 92% recovery on a continuous-separation mode. The developed SMB processcould also recover the unreacted X1 almost completely, which leaves room for a further increase in theoverall X2 reaction yield by reusing the recovered X1 from the SMB as the reactant of the upstreamprocessing (i.e., B. pumilus IPO b-xylosidase X1!X2 reaction). The results of this study will enable ahighly economical and environmentally-friendly production of high-purity X2 from X1.

The CT findings of eleven patients with intramural hematoma of the gastrointestinal tract are presented. The most frequent site of intramural hematoma was duodenum(7/11), followed bjejunum(2/11), ascending colon(2/11), stomach(1/11), and rectum(1/11). Blunt abdominal trauma was the prime etiologic factor(7/11), others included pancreatitis, iatrogenic and unknown. Intramurla hematoma showed three patterns of CT characteristics ; intramural mass(8/11), thickened bowel wall(1/11), and both(2/11). The were variable attenuation value of 10 cases of intramural mass ; homogeneous hyperdensity or hypodensity in each 3 cases, inhomogeneous or mixed density in 4 cases. Also there were peripheral lucent halo(1/10), pseudocapsule or dense rim(5/10), crescentic hyperdensity(2/10) and central hyperdense area(4/10). Associated CT features were hemoperitoneum(4), mesenteric infiltration, fatty liver, pancreatic contusion, and chronic pancreatitis. CT is the most accurate method in establish ng the diagnosis of intramural hematoma, evaluating the extent of bleeding and its effect on adjacent organs, demonstrating regression after treatment, and detecting associated injury.

Understanding of variations in size, shape and density of the normal thymus on CT scans is essential to interprete correctly the images of this organ produced by CT scanning. The results were as follows; 1. The thymus was seen in 100% of cases under age 20.85 % of cases between 20 and 29 years, 75% of cases between 30 and 39 years, 55% of cases between 40 and 49 years, and in 25% over 49 years of age. 2. The thymic shape was divided into three types, that is, arrowhead, separated lobes, and one lobe. among these, type Ⅰ(arrowhead) was most commonly visualized on CT scans978.2%). 3. The thickness of the thymus revealed a remarkable decrease in size with increasing age; although the width revealed a similar tendency, some variation was noted within each age groups. 4. With rare exceptions, the left lobe was larger than the right. 5. In younger cases, the density of the thymus was similar to that of chest muscle; the CT attenuation value gradually decrease with increasing age, inally approaching that of fat. 6. There no statistical difference of incidence, shape, size and density of the thymus between male and female.
병렬로봇의 설계 공차가 궤적 정밀도에 미치는 영향 분석

Machining error makes the uncertainty of dimensional accuracy of the kinematic structure of a parallel robot system, which makes the uncertainty of kinematic accuracy of the end-effector of the parallel robot system. In this paper, the tendency of trajectory tracking error caused by the tolerance of design parameters of the parallel robot is analyzed. For this purpose, all the position errors are analyzed as the manipulator is moved on the target trajectory. X, Y, Z components of the trajectory errors are analyzed respectively, as well as resultant errors, which give the designer of the manipulator the intuitive and deep understanding on the effects of each design parameter to the trajectory tracking errors caused by the uncertainty of dimensional accuracy. The research results shows which design parameters are critically sensitive to the trajectory tracking error and the tendency of the trajectory tracking error caused by them.
