베트남 대학에서 한국어/학과의 발전 과정 및 관계자 인식 연구

본 논문은 베트남 대학에서 한국어/학과의 발전 과정 및 관계자 인식에 대한 연구이다. 이를 위해서 세계와 주변 나라의 한국어/학 교육의 현황을 파악하고 베트남 내 한국어/학 교육 역사와 발전과정을 살펴보았다. 대표적인 대학의 교육과정 문헌 및 교수, 재학생, 졸업생의 인터뷰를 분석함으로써 베트남 대학의 한국어/학 교육의 실제 현황을 파악하고 한국어/학과와 교육과정에 대한 관계자의 인식을 고찰하였다. 본 연구는 설립 연도, 학과 특징, 지역 3가지의 요소를 감안하여 5개의 대학교를 선정하고 한국어/학과를 살펴보았다. 이는 하노이 국립 대학교 인문사회과학대학 (HN USSH), 하노이 국립 대학교 외국어대학 (ULIS), 호찌민 국립 인문사회과학대학 (HCM USSH), 호찌민 외국어 정보대학교 (HUFLIT), 하노이 대학교 (HANU)이다. 본 연구의 주요 연구의 결과를 다음과 같이 정리하였다. 우선 5개의 대학 교육과정의 경향성을 파악하였다. 호찌민 인문사회과학대의 한국학 교육과정은 기업의 요구에 충족하는 다양한 전공 선택을 제공하는 한국어 중심 한국학 교육과정이다. 하노이 인문사회과학대 한국학과는 한국학 연구자를 양성하는 목표에 충실하고 학문적인 교육과정을 운영하고 있습니다. 호찌민 외국어정보대학교 한국학과가 동방학부에 속하고 있어서 교육과정을 발전시키는 것이 제한적이지만 학생과 기업 요구에 부응하고 있는 유연하고 실용적인 한국학 교육과정을 운영하고 있다. 하노이 국립 외국어대 한국어 및 한국문화 학부 교육과정은 한국어학 및 한국문화를 기초로 통번역, 한국학, 관광, 한국어 교육 전공의 다양한 선택을 제공하고 있는데 한국어학 중심의 학문적 특징이 보인다. 하노이 대학교 한국어학과는 통번역 지향 한국어 교육과정에 충실하고 있고 실제학습활동을 중요시한다. 둘째, 베트남 한국어/학 교육 특징을 파악하였다. 베트남 대학은 30여년 간 대학에서 한국어 교육의 양적 및 질적 확정이 있었고 이를 기반으로 한국학으로 발전의 가능성이 있다. 하지만 인터뷰 결과를 통해서 취업 등과 같은 학생의 실질적인 필요와 사회적 수요로 인하여 한국어 교육이 단순히 한국학의 하위 범주로 구성되기 보다는, 한국학과 동등한 지위로 함께 발전하는 특징이 보인다. 베트남에서 한국어/학 교육은 한국 기업에 인재를 양성하는 데 중점을 두기 때문에 학문으로서의 한국학의 필요성이 약하고 논문의 필요성이 적다. 교원들의 낮은 급여 로 인해 학문으로서의 한국학을 위한 인력을 양성하는 것도 쉽지 않다. 베트남에서 한국어 교육이 발전하면서 한국학 교육으로 확장하지 않고 한국어 교육이 한국학 교육과 동등한 학문으로 발전하고 있다. 이는 모순되어 보이지만 베트남 한국어와 한국학 교육 현실을 반영하고 있다. 이에 한국어/학과는 이러한 베트남에서의 한국어 교육 및 한국학 현황의 특징을 상징적으로 드러내 주는 개념어이다. This study is focusing on the development process and stakeholder perception of Korean Language Studies/ Korean Studies in Vietnam universities. To achieve this, we will examine the current status of Korean Language Studies/ Korean Studies education in the world and neighboring countries and examine the history and development of Korean Language Studies/ Korean Studies education in Vietnam. By analyzing the curriculum documents of representative universities and interviewing professors, students, and graduates, we examines the actual status of Korean Language Studies/ Korean Studies education at Vietnamese universities and the perceptions of those concerned about the Korean Language Studies/ Korean Studies department and curriculum. In this study, five universities were selected in consideration of three factors: the year of establishment, the characteristics of the department, and the region. It includes Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh city University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology, University of Languages and International Studies, Hanoi University. The results of the main research in this paper are summarized as follows. First, the trends of the five university curricula were identified. The Korean Studies curriculum at Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a Korean language-centered curriculum that offers a variety of majors to meet the needs of Korean companies. The Department of Korean Studies at Hanoi University of Humanities and Social Sciences operates an academic curriculum that is faithful to the goal of nurturing researchers in Korean studies. The Department of Korean Studies at Ho Chi Minh University of Foreign Studies and Information is part of the Faculty of Eastern Studies, so development of the curriculum is limited, but it is operating a flexible and practical Korean studies curriculum that meets the needs of students and Korean companies. University of Languages and International Studies's Korean language and culture curriculum offers a variety of majors in interpretation and translation, Korean studies, tourism, and Korean language education based on Korean studies and Korean culture. The Department of Korean Language at Hanoi University is faithful to the Korean language curriculum oriented towards interpretation and translation and values practical learning activities. Second, according to the analysis results, Vietnamese universities have confirmed quantitative and qualitative Korean language education at universities for 30 years, and based on this, there is a possibility of development into Korean studies. However, the interview results show that Korean language education develops into an equal status with Korean studies rather than simply being composed of a subcategory of Korean studies due to the social needs and practical needs of students such as employment. Since Korean language education in Vietnam is focused on nurturing talented people in Korean companies, the necessity of Korean studies as an academic discipline is weak and the need for dissertations is small. Due to the low salaries of teachers, it is not easy to train human resources for Korean studies as an academic discipline. With the development of Korean language education in Vietnam, Korean language education is developing into an academic equivalent to Korean studies education without expanding into Korean studies education. Although contradictory, this reflects the reality of Vietnamese Korean language and Korean studies education. Therefore, Korean language Studies/Korean Studies department is a conceptual word that symbolically reveals the characteristics of Korean language and Korean studies education in Vietnam.
