제 7차 교육과정의 구현을 위한 새로운 교육대학원 교과과정안

As the world is turning to new millenium, the whole society in all aspects of politics, society, economy and culture is standing in a great turning point. At present time there are so many things to be correct, but this study is going to focus on curriculums of 10 music education graduate school located in Seoul, in comparison with the 7th educational course, investigating what kinds of problems they have and finding out solutions, so as to establish more improved model of music education curriculums. As such the specialized graduate school which strengthens a professional education, the graduate school of education has charge of the present office teacher's reeducation, and continuing education, at once, plays an very important role as endowment of master's degree in pedagogy inception process. It is very meaningful to investigate the curriculum of graduate school of music education, because it is the origin of all music curriculum. In this study, laying stress on the present course of music education in the ten graduate schools of education in Seoul, that is, Seoul National University, Yeonsei University, Ihwa women's University, Kyunghee University, Kunkook University, Hanyang University, Sookmyung women's University, Seongshin women's University, Sangmyung University, Kookmin University, the curriculum in music education major has been compared and investigated. And after that I came up with desirable curriculum, composed of understanding perspective and action perspective, in comparison with the 7th educational course. In the part of introduction, I suggested the necessity, goal, method, contents, scope and limitation of study. In main part, focusing on ten universities located in Seoul, I examined the 7th educational course and objective, purpose, goal of graduate school of educations. And I pointed out problems after I compared and investigated curriculums of music education major divided into necessary course, non-necessary course, and composite investigation. Finally, I suggested a right direction for music education curriculum to take. For a conclusion, summery of study and my opinion about the necessity or followed study are described. As the result, there is the difference between the present curriculum in the graduate school of education and the present national curriculum. In consideration of such object of the graduate school as training of music teachers and reeducation of present office teachers, the curriculum in the graduate school of education should be reorganized in the close connection with the primary·secondary school. As the part which should be reformed first, I point out that courses for Korean national classical music has run short in comparison with west music. For the systematic and liberal education, the courses for Korean national classical music should be opened actively, and the graduate school of education itself should effort for the improvement and estimation on the course of study bias with balance. In this dissertation, because the research is conducted focused on ten graduate schools of education in Seoul, we need to generalize this study after we investigate curriculums of more various university. As well as, comparative investigation of curriculum of graduate school of education's music education major with curriculum of elementary and secondary school, and with same course of foreign universities are needed. By the mediumism of such a research, to goals, that is, the establishment of the good model of music education course and the well-balanced development of music education, will be reached. 오늘날 우리 사회는 세기적 전환점을 맞이하면서 21세기의 세계화·정보화 시대에 부응하여 정치·경제·사회·문화 등의 여러 분야에서 전문화를 추구하고 있다. 이런 현 시점을 기준으로, 시정되어야 할 문제점 중에서도 지도적 자질을 갖춘 교육전문가의 육성을 목적으로 하고 있는 교육대학원 중 서울 소재하는 10개의 음악교육전공의 교육대학원 교과과정을 교육부의 7차 음악 교육과정과 연계해서 비교하여 문제점을 파악하고 개선방안을 연구하여 좀 더 발전적인 음악교육과정의 모형을 정립하고자 한다. 특수대학원에 속하는 교육대학원은 전문교육을 강화하는 전문대학원의 일종으로, 교육학 석사학위 취득과정으로서 현직 교원의 재교육 및 계속교육 기관의 성격을 지니고 있음으로서 매우 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 우리나라 음악교육을 이끌어 나가는데 큰 공헌을 하고 있는 교육대학원 음악교육전공은 모든 음악행위의 근본이 되며 밑바탕이 되는 것이 음악교육과정이라 생각되어, 교육대학원 음악교육전공의 교과과정을 연구하는 것은 의미 있는 일이라 생각한다. 본 연구에서는 서울 소재의 10개 학교(개설연도 순) 즉, 서울대학교, 연세대학교, 이화여자대학교, 경희대학교, 건국대학교, 한양대학교, 숙명여자대학교, 성신여자대학교, 상명대학교, 국민대학교 교육대학원의 현행 음악교과과정을 중심으로, 음악교육전공의 실태를 파악하여 비교하였다. 교과과정 비교에 있어서는 교과과목의 연구를 통해 현재 시행되고 있는 제7차 교육과정과 연계해서 바람직한 교과과정 방향을 이해영역과 활동영역의 2가지로 나누어서 제시해 보았다. 연구내용으로 서론에서는 연구의 필요성과 목적, 방법, 내용, 범위와 제한점을 제시하였고 본론에서는 제7차 음악교육과정에 관한 고찰을 한 후, 서울소재 10개 대학교를 중심으로 교육대학원 음악교육전공의 교과과정을 비교 및 연구를 함으로써 음악교육의 문제점을 지적하였고 이상과 같은 연구내용을 토대로 음악교육 교과과정이 나아가야 할 바람직한 상을 제시하였다. 결론에서는 연구내용의 요약과 함께 후속연구의 필요성 등에 대한 제언을 기술하였다. 본 연구 결과, 교육대학원의 현행 교과과정은 교육부의 현행 교육과정과 다소 거리감이 있어 보였다. 현직교사의 재교육 및 음악교사의 양성이라는 대학원의 취지를 고려하여 초·중·고등학교 교육과정과 깊은 연관성을 가질 수 있도록 교육대학원의 교과과정을 재구성하여야 할 것이다. 우선 개선되어져야 할 부분으로 각 학교마다 국악 관련 교과목이 현저히 부족하다는 것을 들 수 있다. 체계적이고 폭 넓은 교육을 위해서는 국악영역 교과목의 개설이 활발히 이루어져야 하며, 교육대학원 스스로가 교과과정을 평가하고 개선의 노력을 함으로써 균형 있는 교과과정 편성에 힘을 기울여야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 서울 소재의 10개 학교에 한정되어 연구되었으므로, 앞으로는 서울 소재 학교 외에 다양한 대학교를 대상으로 교육대학원 음악교육전공의 교과과정을 분석하여, 본 연구결과의 일반화를 도모할 필요가 있을 것이다. 아울러 초·중·고등학교 음악교육 교과과정과 교육대학교 초등음악교육전공과 중등음악교육전공의 교과과정 비교 및 연구, 나아가 전문화된 외국 동일과정과의 비교 연구 등의 후속연구가 계속 필요하다고 본다. 이러한 과정을 통해 보다 나은 교육대학원의 바람직한 교과과정의 정립과 균형 잡힌 음악교육의 발전을 기대해 본다.
