A dual-channel automatic ac-do voltage transfer error measurement system in which the output voltages of two thermal voltage converters which are ac voltage standard are directly measured at the same time to reduce the output voltage drift is described. Forward-reverse measurement method by using a two-channel scanner is used to cancel the offset voltage of the voltmeters. The agreements of the 4-V TVC comparison results between other national standards institute and Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science were less than about ±2 ppm in the frequency range of 40 Hz∼100 kHz, and were less than about ±4 ppm at 200 kHz∼1 MHz. Measurement uncertainty is reduced significantly from ?5 ppm of manual system to ±3 ppm of new system(up to 100 kHz) typically and great increase in comparison efficiency has been achieved by this system.

Both ratio error and phase angle error in potential transformer(PT) are critically affected by used burden, connected in parallel to the secondary terminal of the PT. Thus precise measurement of burden value is very important for the evaluation of PT. An automatic measurement system has been developed for the measurement of burden value and power factor of a burden. The ac voltage, current and power of the burden are measured precisely, and the burden value and power factor were calculated from these measured values. The resistance and inductance values of the tested burden are also calculated. The overall measurement uncertainties are calculated and reported with the burden value and power factor. The best measurement uncertainty for the burden measurement with the developed automatic measurement system was estimated to be 0.5 %.

Urethral syndrome is becoming a recognized pathological entity and had been linked to various lower urinary tract symptoms such as irritative manifestations, enuresis and urinary tract infections. Despite the intensity of symptoms, these patients have not significant urinary tract infection that is demonstrable. A clinical observation was made on the 26 cases of the urethral syndrome treated with internal urethrotomy and the following results were obtained. 1. Age distribution revealed 18 cases (69%) in 41 and 60 year old and 7 cases (27%) under 40 year old. 2. Duration of symptoms were various from a few month to several years. 3. The most common complaints were 10 cases of urinary frequency, 5 cases of dysuria and 3 cases of urgency. 4. Cystoscopic findings revealed 8 cases of trigonal hyperemia, 7 cases of trabeculation and 6 cases of congestion and vesicles of the bladder wall. 5. 26 cases associated with urethral stricture were improved with internal urethro tomy.
