      • Cross - Agglutinin Adsorption 방법에 의한 렙토스피라균의 혈청학적 분석(1985)

        To clarify the existing serological varieties of Leptospira interrogans in Korea, 15 iso1ates of 1985 were serologically studied by cross agglutinin adsorption test. Fourteen cultures except HS 7 belonged to serogroup Icterohemorrhagiae. Isolate HM 3 and HV 8 were considered to belong to serotype mwogolo by their low residual homologous antibody(0.08 to 6.25 %) after cross adsorption with serotype mwogolo referene culture and antiserum. Both residual homologous antibody of isolate HS 7 and serotype canicola reference culture remained 1.56%, accordingly HS 7 proved to belong to serotype canicola. The agglutinogens of isolate H$gt;2, AP3, AP4, AP7 and AP9 are red to closely related to serotype mwogolo, and HM4 and HS6 to serotype birkini, which remained to be further studied. The remaining 5 strains(HY1, HS5, HY10, 310-9, 310-19) could not be attached to any known serotype of Icterohemorrhagiae serogroup by cross adsorption test.

        This paper deals with an experimental study on the influence of fuel behavior in intake manifold for the performance of a low compression spark ignition engine. In this study, we knew that liquid-film fuel in intake manifold has a remarkable influence on the engine performance. And, from analysis of indicator pressure diagram, the value of combustion characteristics were obtained.

      • 空氣流動中의 噴射가스 燃料의 擴散에 關한 實驗的 硏究 (Ⅰ)

        The mixture formation process has a great, influence on the performance and exhaust gas characteristics in the direct injection engines, such as Hydrogen engines and Diesel engines. This paper presents a fundamental study on the mixing process of compound jets. In this experimental study, the tracers used are CO_2, H_2 and He. The average-velocity of the air injected is 3m/sec, 5m/sec, 8m/sec, and 10m/sec. To observe spreading behavior of gas fuel, the Schlieren apparatus was used to take a picture of the fluid density. Then the values of the potential core length(Z_P), the potential core length and the transient length (Z_t), and the visual extension angle (φ) were obtained by visualized photo-analysed. The visual extension angle is decreased irrelatively for variety of injected gas, and is increased with constant grade in the area transient jet is occured. Experimental parameters are the average injection velocity of the tracer and the average injection velocity of the air.

        Preferential Trade Structure in the Fifth Enlargement of the EU and Lessons from the Precedent Enlargements to Underdeveloped Countries

        The aim of this study is to estimate preferential trade structures in the fifth enlargement of the EU and in the precedent enlargements to the underdeveloped countries, and derive some implications for trade integration of the EU after the fifth enlargement. We found the degree of trade preference that most of the new members conferred to the incumbent members was higher than that of trade preferences prevailed among the incumbent members before the accession. This excessive opening during the transition period implies a certain amount of trade diversion against non-member countries. In contrast, the incumbent members limited the access of some new members to their market, although the degree of the limitation weakened during the latter part of transition. It implies that the export increase can be expected for some new member countries after the accession to the EU if the discrimination by the incumbent members will be reduced. However, the process is not automatic. From the estimations on the preferential trade structure in the enlargement of Greece, Portugal and Spain to the EU, we found that membership is crucial, but not sufficient for a country to get free access to the EU market. The discrimination against Greece by other EU members was maintained even after the accession. We propose the institutional deficiencies of Greece as the main cause of this discrimination. For the countries becoming new members in the fifth enlargement, continuous reforms after accession will be needed for the free access to the EU market. 이 연구는 유럽연합 제5차 확대 시의 특혜무역구조를 추정하고, 그 이전의 저개발국들에 대한 회원국 확대의 경우와 비교하여 향후 유럽연합의 무역통합에 관한 시사점을 찾는 것을 목적으로 한다. 제5차 확대 시 대부분의 신규회원국들은 가입이전에 이미 기존 회원국들에 대해 기존회원국들 사이의 상호무역에서 보다 더 강한 무역특혜를 부여하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 신규회원국들이 가입준비기간 중 기존회원국들에 대해 과도한 개방을 한 결과로 비회원국들에 대해서는 어느 정도의 무역전환을 함축하고 있다. 반대로 기존 회원국들은 비록 이행기 후반부에서 약화되기는 했지만 신규회원국들 중 일부에 대해 유럽연합 시장에 대한 접근을 제한했던 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 가입 후 기존회원국들은 신규회원국들로의 수출증가를 기대하기 힘든 반면, 신규회원국들은 기존회원국들이 차별을 완화하는 경우 수출증가를 기대할 수 있다는 것을 보여준다. 그러나 이런 수출증가가 자동적으로 이루어지는 것은 아니다. 그리스, 포르투갈 및 스페인의 유럽연합 가입 시 및 가입 후의 특혜무역구조에 대한 추정결과는 회원국 자격의 획득이 다른 회원국들로부터 차별당하지 않는 데 중요한 요인이지만, 충분하지는 않다는 것을 보여 준다. 그리스에 대한 차별은 가입 후 오히려 강화되었는데, 그 이유는 그리스가 유럽연합의 제도적 기준을 계속해서 충족시키지 못 했기 때문이었다. 이는 가입 후의 추가적인 개혁이 지속되어야 저개발국의 유럽연합 가입의 무역효과가 극대화된다는 것을 말해주는 것이다.

        It is widely recognized that exhaust emissions, fuel economy and engine torque are affected by engine temperature, and the logic would suggest that a cooling system offering a better compromise of engine temperature would improve both overall engine performance and economy. An engine cooling is related with heat transfer, it is the essential element to analysis a heat transfer process for heat rejection of an engine. Coolant temperature of some parts and flow rate which are necessary to heat transfer in a engine are measured. And parameters which are necessary for the optimum design of thermostat to keep the best engine performance are determined the optimum operating temperature of electric cooling fan. And the effects of cooling condition to the combustion chamber in an engine is studied.
