In the past several decades air has been used for the insulation of power system, but recently the gas insulating method by high gas pressure ?? has been made a rapid progress, and along with it the elucidation of discharge characteristics of ?? gas is the pressing need in the field of super high voltage and long gap. The high gas pressure insulation (which is the match for super high voltage transmission) of the various kinds of power machines and cables comes to a practical use. Thus the breakdown characteristics of negative gases, particularly high gas pressure ?? is being studied with the aim of making a reliable and reasonable plan of gas insulating machine. As high gas pressure ?? has a high breakdown field, the insulating characteristics is affected even by a minute cause, and it shows the discharge characteristics which is quite different from air nitrogen and the other gases. In the study of this thesis I am going to examine the peculiar discharge characteristics of ?? gas and the characteristics of the impulse corona in the high gas pressure ??.

근자 초고압변압기의 설계 제작기술은 급속히 발전되었으나 상금 문제점은 많으며, 특히 절연성능의 향상은 일층 엄격하게 요구 된다. 초고압변압기절연시험에서 종래의 교류 1분간내압시험, 雷 Impulse 시험만으로는 그 절연성능을 검증하기 어렵고 교류부분 방전시험과 개폐 Impulse 시험이 10년 가까이 전부터 쓰이게 되었다. 초고압변압기에서는 교류부분방전이 가장 문제로 되며, 이것을 적극 방지하기 위한 절연구조상의 문제, 절연처리기술문제를 검토하고, 종합적절연특성에 대하여, 국내외 초고압송전 현황을 토대로 조사 연구하였다. In recent times we have made remarkable progress in the design and manufactured technique of S.H.V transformer, yet we have still many problems to be solved, especially in order to bring advanced improvement in the insulating powers. In the insulating test of S.H.V transformer it may be difficult to admit the insulating power only by A.C. One minute withstand voltage test and Lightning impulse withstand used in the past. In their place A.C. partial discharge test and switching impulse withstand have been used since nearly ten years ago. In the insulating test S.H.V transformer, A.C. partial discharge may well be said as one of the most necessary problems we should make solution. In this report I'm going to investigate the insulating construction and the technique of insulating processing for the defense of such problems. As to the all-around insulating characteristic may investigation and study have been tried on the basis of the present situation of S.H.V power transmission examined in our country and abroad.

The latest expansion and Super high voltage of the electric power System are urging the elevation of its trust. In response to such a demand, this thesis is studying largely on the insulators related to generation, transformation, plower transmission and distribution, the relations between the Stained factors of the insulators and the flash-over voltage, and the main influencing factors on the moisture absorbed phenomena of the insulators' stain which is related to the flash-over voltage inseparably.
