        과학기술 동향정보서비스 이용자 정보행태 및 만족도 영향요인 연구 - ScienceON 금주의 과학기술뉴스 사례를 중심으로 -

        본 연구는 과학기술 동향정보서비스 이용자의 정보행태 및 만족도 영향요인에 대해 알아보고자 ScienceON의 ‘금주의 과학기술뉴스’ 이용자 집단을 대상으로 동향정보서비스에 대한 조사를 실시하였다. 과학기술 동향정보서비스는 R&D 과제 등에 참여하는 연구자들뿐만 아니라 일반 과학기술에 관심 있는 대중들도 최신의 과학기술정보를 습득 및 활용할 수 있도록 지원하는 서비스이기 때문에 의미 있는 서비스라고 할 수 있다. 총 201개의 설문결과로부터 데이터를 수집했고, 이를 통해 이용자 정보행태 조사와 함께 품질차원에 따른 중요도를 분석하여 서비스 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 조사하였다. 조사결과, 이용자들은 과학기술 동향정보서비스를 학습, 연구, 과제수행, 업무 과정에서 적극적으로 활용하고 있으며, 제공되는 콘텐츠의 정확성과 최신성, 그리고 사용성, 이용지원성 등을 중요시하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 인구통계학적 특성에 따라 이용패턴과 만족도에서 유의미한 차이를 보여주기도 하였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 시사점을 종합하여 향후 과학기술 동향정보서비스 개선을 위하여 UI 및 이용자 교육, 제공 정보의 신뢰성 확보, 만족도에 영향을 미치는 우선순위를 반영한 서비스 개선방안을 제안했다. 결국 이를 통해 금주의 과학기술뉴스와 같은 과학기술 동향정보서비스의 접근성과 활용성을 높여가는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다. This study conducted a survey on trend information services targeting a group of users of ScienceON’s “Weekly S&T News” to find out the factors influencing information behavior and satisfaction of science and technology trend information service users. The science and technology trend information service is a meaningful service because it supports not only researchers participating in R&D tasks but also the public interested in general science and technology to acquire and utilize the latest science and technology information. Data were collected from a total of 201 survey results, and through this, factors affecting service satisfaction were investigated by analyzing the importance according to the quality dimension along with the user information behavior survey. As a result of the survey, users actively use science and technology trend information services in learning, research, task performance, and fishing, and value the accuracy, up-to-date, usability, and support of the content provided. In addition, significant differences were shown in usage patterns and satisfaction according to demographic characteristics. By combining these implications, this study proposed a service improvement plan that reflects priorities affecting UI and user education, reliability of provided information, and satisfaction to improve science and technology trend information services in the future. In the end, this will contribute to increasing the accessibility and utilization of science and technology trend information services such as “Weekly S&T News”.

        초등 정보과학영재의 귀인성향과 정보과학에 대한 태도와의 관계에 대한 조사연구

        본 연구는 성별, 학년, 영재교육기간에 따른 초등 정보과학영재의 정보과학에 대한 태도와 귀 인성향의 차이를 알아보고, 귀인성향, 정보과학에 대한 태도, ICT 역량과의 관계를 분석하였 다. 이를 위해 초등 정보과학영재 72명을 대상으로 설문조사와 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 는 첫째, 귀인성향의 차이에서 남자가 여자보다 내적성향이 더 높았고 외적성향은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 5학년이 6학년보다 내적, 외적성향 모두 점수가 높았고 1년과 2년 이상 교육받은 학생들간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 정보과학에 대한 태도의 차이에서 남녀 간 의 점수는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았고 5학년이 6학년보다 몇 가지 요인에서 점수가 높았다. 영재교육기간에 따른 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 귀인성향은 정보과학에 대한 태도와 내적성향이 정(+)적인 상관관계를 보였고 외적성향은 유의한 상관관계가 없었다. ICT 역량의 하위요인인 ICT 원리에 대한 이해는 내적 성향과, SW코딩 능력은 외적성향 중 과제곤 란도 요인과 정(+)적인 상관관계를 보였다. ICT 역량의 몇 가지 하위요인과 정보과학에 대한 태도의 하위요인이 정(+)적인 상관관계를 보였다. 시사점은 여학생들이 정보과학의 성취결과 를 노력 귀인에 더 많은 비중을 부여하도록 할 필요가 있으며, 고학년 학생들에게 정보과학에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 심어줄 수 있는 계기가 필요하다. 그리고 정보과학영재의 선발 과정에 서는 정보과학에 대한 태도 역시 선발 요인으로 비중 있게 고려해야 하며 정보과학학습에 대 한 노력에 가치를 두도록 장려할 필요가 있다. This paper aims at figuring out specific characteristics of affective attitude of gifted and talented in information, predicting follow-up activities and desirable direction of learning. Based on the analysis of this paper as educational directions and suggestions for elementary gifted and talented students in information are as follows: First, in gender ratio of gifted and talented in information, including the fact that ratio of boys is high, there remain the previous prejudice of higher information capability and it seems that girls who depend on external factors, parents and teachers should make more efforts to help girls trust their own capability in information science and lead them to give more value to attribution of efforts for achievement in information science. Second, as grade is higher, motivation to learn information science and attitude for success in information science among sub-elements of attitude to information science, motivation to seed positive recognition to higher graders is required. Third, in screening and selecting gifted and talented students in information, attitude to information science should be considered as main cause and the existing gifted and talented students in information should be prompted to improve their attitude to information science with value on effort for information science.

        지식정보처리역량 관점에서 중학생들의 과학탐구활동 어려움 분석

        The knowledge and information processing competence is one of the essential competencies in an information-oriented society which is highly related to science education. The purpose of this study is to investigate middle school students’ difficulties in science inquiry activity in view of the knowledge and information processing competence. Collection, processing, and application of information are extracted as common elements of the knowledge and information processing competence through literature search. Data were obtained from eight students of a middle school in Seoul for five months and were analyzed based on constant comparative method to extract students’ difficulties. As a result, the element of information collection is observed through science inquiry and the element of information processing is observed in hypothesis setting step, inquiry result analysis step, and inquiry result sharing step. The element of information application is observed in the creation of posters for sharing and inquiry reports. Difficulties in information collection were found in lack of confidence in information gathering, systematic search strategy, and information reliability. Difficulties in information processing appeared in the inexperience of analysis program use, information transformation, and interpretation of linkage information. Difficulties in information application were caused by the lack of effective organization and effective expression of information. In this study, it is meaningful to provide a clue as to how the knowledge and information processing competence can be established in science education. 지식정보처리역량은 정보화 사회에서 필수적인 역량 중 하나이며 과학교육과도 매우 연관성이 깊은 역량이다. 본 연구에서는 과학탐구 과정에서 나타나는 지식정보처리역량의 요소를 찾아보고 중학생들이 이와 관련하여 어떠한 어려움을 겪는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 문헌 연구를 바탕으로 다양한 지식정보처리역량의 정의에서 공통된 요소인 정보 수집, 정보 처리, 정보 활용의 세 가지 요소를 추출하 였다. 또한 서울시에 위치한 중학교에서 동아리 활동을 하는 학생 8명의 탐구활동을 5개월간 참여관찰 하여 자료(면담 및 관찰 전사본, 탐구 보고서, 탐구일지, 현장 노트 등)를 수집하였고, 지속적 비교분석 법을 이용하여 수집된 자료를 범주화하고, 지시정보처리역량 요소와 관련된 어려움을 추출하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 정보 수집 요소는 탐구를 진행하는 내내 관찰할 수 있었으며 정보 분석 요소는 가설 설정 단계와 탐구 결과 분석 단계, 탐구 결과를 공유하는 단계에서 관찰할 수 있었다. 정보 활용 요소는 탐구 보고서 작성 및 공유를 위한 포스터 제작 등에서 확인할 수 있었다. 학생들이 겪은 어려움으 로는 정보 수집에서는 정보 수집의 확실성, 체계적인 검색 전략, 정보의 신뢰성 등을 확보하지 못한 점에서 나타났다. 정보 분석에서 겪는 어려움은 분석 프로그램의 사용, 정보 변환, 연계 정보의 해석 등의 미숙함에서 나타났다. 정보 활용에서 겪는 어려움은 정보의 조직화, 효과적 표현 능력의 부족함에서 나타났다. 이 연구는 지식정보처리역 량이 과학교육에서 어떠한 방식으로 자리 잡을 수 있는지 그 단초를 제공하였다는 점에 의의가 있다.

        Longitudinal Analysis of Information Science Research in JASIST 1985-2009*

        In recent years, the changes in information technology have been so dramatic and the rate of changes has increased so much that information science research rigorously evolves with the passage of time and proliferates in diverging research directions dynamically. The aims of this study are to provide a global overview of research trends in information science and to trace its changes in the main topics over time. The study examined the topics of research articles published in JASIST between 1985 and 2009 and identified its changes during five 5 year periods. The study found that the most productive area has consistently been ‘Information Retrieval’, followed by ‘Informetrics’, ‘Information Use and Users’, ‘Network and Technology’, and ‘Publishing and Services’. Information retrieval is a predominant core area in Information Science covering computer-based handling of multimedia information, employment of new semantic methods from other disciplines, and mass information handling on virtual environments. Currently Informetric studies shift from finding existing phenomena to seeking valuable descriptive results and researchers of information use have concentrated especially on information-seeking aspects, so adding greater sophistication to the relatively simple approach taken in information retrieval.

        수학, 과학, 정보 문항이 초등 영재 선발에 미치는 영향 분석

        The purpose of this paper is to analyze how the creative problem solving ability of mathematics, science, and information is related to giftedness when selecting elementary science gifted students. The subjects of the study are 1,117 applicants, 201 students of first passers, and 114 students of final passers for 2018 science and gifted education center in S university, First, in correlation analysis with total score of 1,117 applicants, the mathematics field is 0.865, the science field is 0.672, the information field is 0.626, the correlation is very high. The first passers of 201 students are 0.611 in mathematics, 0.499 in science, 0.22 in information, which means that all three fields are meaningful with a significance level of 0.01% or less. In the final admitted 114 students, the mathematics field is 0.531, the science field is 0.514, and the information field is 0.314. Second, the results of the ANOVA for the three groups of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders show that there is a difference between the three groups of applicants. The first passers have no difference in mathematics, science and information field with a significance level of 5% or less, and that the final admitted passers have a meaningful difference in the level of significance of 5% in mathematics, and that there is no significant difference in science and information. It can be seen that there is a significant difference in total score. Third, gender differences show that there is a difference between mathematics and information in the applicants, no difference in science. Also there is no gender difference between the first passers and final admitted students. In conclusion, we can see that the mathematics, science, and information items are all correlated with applicants, first-passers, and final admitted students. There is a significant difference between the grades for applicants and final admitted students, and there is a significant difference in gender between mathematics and information only applicants.

        4차 산업혁명 시대 및 학령인구 급감에 대응하기 위한 국내 문헌정보학과의 정체성과 발전 방향 모색

        This study recognizes the need for Korean university society to have to prepare for the coming of the Fourth industrial revolution era and for rapid decline in the school-age population, and presents a diagnosis of the current situation of the department of domestic library and information science. To respond to such issues, it explores the identity of the department of library and information science, and the future development direction thereof. The findings of this study reveal as of February 2020 that 36 universities offer the department of library and information science, while 18 universities abolished the department. Further, compared to 2013, 2019 saw the number of the students enrolled and full-time faculty decline by 38.5% and 13.4%, respectively. Thus, the identity and future development direction of Korea’s department of library and information science were examined by dividing the issue into 5 parts. Five proposals thus were presented: First, convergence education is required at the level of academic identity. Second, at the level of law and state, the department of library and information science, it should be guaranteed that the library and information science should be promoted and that the employment should be stabilized. Third, at the level of association, the social image of the department of library and information science should be enhanced. Fourth, at the level of universities, the support for and promotion of the department of library and information science should be boosted. Fifth, at the level of the department, student-oriented education should be bolstered and the employment rate should be enhanced. 본 연구는 한국 대학사회에서 4차 산업혁명 시대의 도래 및 대학 입학자원의 급감에 대비해야 할 필요성을 인식하고, 현 국내 문헌정보학과의 현황을 진단하였으며, 이에 대응하기 위한 향후 문헌정보학과의 정체성 및 미래 발전 방향을 모색하였다. 연구결과, 2020년 2월을 기준으로 우리나라에 문헌정보학과가 설치된 대학은 총36개교(2년제 4곳, 4년제 32곳)이며, 학부과정이 폐과된 대학은 총8개교(2년제 5곳, 4년제 3곳)이고, (교육)대학원이 폐과된 곳은 총10개교인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 2013년과 대비하여 2019년에 입학 정원수는 38.5%가 감소하였으며, 전임교원수도 13.4%가 감소한 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 앞으로 한국의 문헌정보학과의 정체성 및 미래 발전 방향을 크게 5가지로 구분하여 첫째, 학문 정체성 차원에서 융합교육 필요, 둘째, 법․국가차원에서 문헌정보학과 진흥 및 사서 취업 안정성 보장, 셋째, 협회차원에서 문헌정보학과에 대한 사회적 이미지 제고, 넷째, 대학차원에서 문헌정보학과 지원 및 홍보 확대, 다섯째, 학과차원에서 학생중심 교육 강화 및 취업률 향상을 도모할 것을 제안하였다.

        과학치안 구현을 위한 법제도 개선방안에 관한 고찰

        4차 산업혁명시대의 도래에 따라 과거의 경찰활동에 대한 한계를 극복하고자 과학치안을 요구하는 목소리가 높아지고 있다. 이와 같은 상황에서 한국전자통신연구원에서는 과학치안 연구의 일환으로 2017년부터 다중로그 기반 치안서비스 연구를 진행하고 있다. 동 연구는 잠재적 피해자, 잠재적 가해자, 특정 범죄자 등과 관련된 다양한 정보 및 경찰 보유 데이터(범죄정보)를 수집․분석․활용하여 과학적 범죄예측 및 대응을 가능하게 하는 시스템을 개발함으로서 국민 안전을 효과적으로 확보하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그런데, 다중로그 기반 치안서비스 개발 및 실제 적용을 위해서는 스마트폰, 웨어러블 기기, CCTV 등 다양한 센싱자료를 통해 잠재적 피해자․가해자 등의 다양한 개인정보를 수집․이용해야 하고, 막대한 양의 개인정보가 포함되어 있는 경찰데이터를 분석․활용하여야하기 때문에 헌법상 보장된 사생활의 비밀과 자유 및 개인정보자기결정권이라는 기본권 침해를 둘러 싼 법적 논란이 제기될 수 있다. 따라서 무엇보다도 동 서비스 구현의 합법성을 담보하는 작업이 선행되어야 한다. 본 논문은 미래 첨단형 과학치안을 구현하고자 하는 ‘다중로그 기반 치안서비스’ 연구 및 실제 적용을 위한 법적 근거를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 현행법상 다중로그 기반 치안서비스가 가능한지, 가능하다면 어떤 범위까지 가능한지 그리고 허용되지 않는 부분에 대해서는 어떤 입법적․제도적 개선이 필요한지를 검토하였다. 검토 결과, 현행법은 ‘개인정보보호’라는 이익 혹은 가치를 중시한 나머지 다중로그 기반 치안서비스 구현을 위해 필수적으로 요구되는 개인정보 혹은 범죄정보의 활용을 상당 부분 제약하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결국, 법이 ‘과학치안’을 위축시키고 있는 것이다. 하지만 개인정보 혹은 범죄정보의 오남용을 막을 법적․제도적 장치를 마련한다면 과학치안 구현과 개인정보 및 범죄정보 보호는 서로 양립할 수 있다. 따라서 이와 같은 서로 대립되어 보이는 이익 혹은 가치들이 서로 조화롭게 양립될 수 있는 방향으로 현행 ‘개인정보 보호법’, ‘형사절차 전자화법’ 등과 같은 개인정보 혹은 범죄정보의 보호․이용에 관한 법률들을 개정하고 해당 정보의 오남용을 막을 기술적․관리적․행정적 보안장치가 마련해야 할 것이다. 본 연구가 향후 과학치안을 위한 법제도 개선을 위한 시발점으로서 기여할 수 있기를 희망한다. With the advent of the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there is a growing demand for science policing in order to overcome the limitations of past police activities. In this situation, ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) has been conducting research on multi-log based security service since 2017 as a part of scientific security research. The study aims to secure national security effectively by developing a system that can collect, analyze, and utilize various information related to potential victims, potential perpetrators, specific criminals, and police possessed data (crime information). However, for the development and practical application of multi-log based security services, it is necessary to collect and use various personal information related to potential victims and perpetrators through various sensing data such as smart phones, wearable devices, and CCTV. In addition, it is necessary to analyze and utilize the police data including various personal information. Therefore, the legal controversy surrounding the infringement of basic rights such as privacy and self-determination of personal information guaranteed by the Constitution can be raised. Hence, the work of ensuring the legitimacy of implementation of the service should be preceded. The purpose of this paper is to provide a legal basis for research and practical application of Multilog-based security service to implement future high-tech science security. For the purpose, this paper examined whether multi-log based security services are possible, to what extent they are possible, and which legislative and institutional improvements are needed for unacceptable areas. As a result of the review, we found that the existing law emphasizes the benefit or value of personal information protection, and restricts the use of personal information or criminal information, which is essential for implementing multi-log based security services. In the end, the law is shrinking science policing. However, if legal and institutional devices are established to prevent misuse of personal information or criminal information, implementation of scientific security and protection of personal information and crime information can be compatible. Therefore, the laws on the protection and use of personal information or criminal information such as ‘Personal Information Protection Act’ and ‘Criminal Procedure Electronics Promotion Act’ need to be revised in order to be able to harmonize the interests or values t hat are confronted with each other. Also, technical and administrative security measures need to be developed to prevent misuse of information. We hope that this study will contribute as a starting point for the future improvement of the legal system for science policing.

        네트워크 분석을 통한 국내외 정보학 분야의지식 생산 · 전파 · 구조 특성 분석

        This study understood the overall cyclical process of the production, distribution and consumption of knowledge in domestic and international information science, centering around the interactive relationships among researchers, research activities and research knowledge based on this, it compared and analyzed the knowledge structure of domestic and international information science and draw implications. For this purpose, this study conducted a statistical analysis and a network analysis of the relationships among co-author, citation and keyword with academic articles published in the representative domestic and international information science journals, JKOSIM and JASIST between 2010 and 2014. To sum up the research results, it is found that there are similar production, propagation, and structure of knowledge in the domestic and international information science. However, It was found that, in the domestic information science, overall, studies in the field of Library & Information Science related to the library such as information service, informetrics and information use were actively conducted. In contrast, in the international information science, interdisciplinary studies were actively conducted, like computer-related information science from theoretical and technical aspects, such as informetrics, information retrieval, and information use.

        과학이 삶에 미친 영향에 대한 대학생들의 인식

        This study was conducted to identify students' meaningful scientific experiences and to ascertain the path through which the experience led to learning. The subjects of ‘Understanding of the History of Science' were asked to write an essay on the subject of ‘Effects of science on my life' to 81 students in the department of literature and 125 students in the science department. After that Classification criteria were established through scientific experts' seminars, and the scientific experiences that affected students and their effects were examined. The results from analyses were summarized as follows: First, As a result of study about Science Education experience that has impacted students’ lives, the students were influenced by images, most of which were influenced by scientific videos. They were also influenced by science classes and science books. As a result of classifying science experience, most of the experience is composed of Informal Science Learning. Second, as a result of examining how students were influenced by their scientific experience, they found that they were affected by their daily life or influenced by science. As a result of the research, it can be confirmed that Informal Science Learning experience is an important learning form that has a great influence on students. Therefore, appropriate Informal Science Learning experience should be introduced into the class, and research and development on the Informal Science Learning experience preferred by the students should be done.

        On Information Design

        Background As the formation of Information Design became a generalized feature in design studies, with its analytical dimensions examined during 1990s, the tendency toward treating “information” as concept itself was what made the relational approach so important. Hence, it has become crucial to expound upon the very nature of information, that is, to reflect on information. It is because the issue of how much and how one can trust certain information have come to the fore. Information Design as specialized design related activities treating information, strives to propose excellence in methodology of communication centered on consumer or user, by representing the theme, object, phenomena, or their degree of change in efficient and sophisticated manners. Such methodology is based on “classification and analysis on information (on various subjects/phenomena)” and simultaneously, “setting-up of object(s)/issue(s)” to figure out the causality, and accuracy to support such setting-up, that is, to seek “certainty”. In order to make improvements for information design, we need an approach enabling the design practices to think about “the reality” of what is the information more creatively and correctly, why and how such information comes into being. Methods This paper analyzes documents and case studies on various applications of the aforementioned three notions in our life, in the fields of Sociology, Informatics, History and Philosophy of Science, Science and Technology Studies. And, epistemological and performative features and limits of the three notions will be analyzed. Furthermore, questionnaires enabling critical thinking on actual complexity will be proposed by Information Design experiments and practices based on scientific methodology, so that information and its establishment-pursuit, the “sociality” of interpretation cold be considered carefully. Results The practice of Information Design which treats information and visualizes the context is enabled by embodying scientific methodology and exploring, but it is difficult to overcome the complexity and uncertainty of the real. It is because the visualization of Information Design cannot avoid the schematization-establishment of mechanical causal relationship which form in the process of practice and the indication of input-output. Therefore, “(certain) Information Design” can be proposed/applied only limitatively under “specific condition (or standard)”. Conclusions The concept of actual complexity is simplified and becomes abstract through classification-analysis approach, theme determining, etc. during the process of designing and realizing Information Design. Hence, certainty is pursued but uncertainty is also at stake since the real situation, which is not/could not be revealed, exists at the opposite side.
