        콩 톱다리개미허리노린재 피해와 관련형질의 품종간 차이

        자연발생포장 및 톱다리개미허리노린재 접종구에서 협 피해 및 수량 감소가 적었던 품종은 풍산나물콩, 소백나물콩, 두유콩, 신팔달콩 2호로 다른 품종에 비해 노린재 선호도가 낮은 품종으로 생각되었고, 명주나물콩, 만리콩, 황금콩은 피해가 심한 품종으로 분류되었다. 콩 품종간 톱다리개미허리노린재 선호성으로 모용색이 회백색인 품종군의 피해율이 13.0%인데 비해 갈색모용의 품종군은 8.2%로 피해율이 낮았으며, 제색도 황색에 비해 담갈색>갈색>회갈색 순으로 제 In recent years, an increasing amount of research has been conducted on the yield loss of soybean crop caused by Riptortus clavatus, a serious pest of legumes. The objective of this study were to examine crop damage caused by various population densities of R. clavatus and determine the association of unique growth and seed characteristics with crop damage rate in conventional soybean fields. Major growth responses to R. clavatus were examined. The cultivars that were not as seriously damaged by R. clavatus were Pungsannamulkong, Sobaegknamulkong, Duyoukong, and Sinpaldal 2, but Myeongjunamulkong, Mallikong, and Hwangkeumkong were significantly (P<0.05) damaged. The rate of seed damage caused by R. clavatus was 8.2% in a group of brown colored pubescence, while the rate was 13.0% in a group of the gray colored. Crop damage by R. clavatus clearly more reduced in cultivars with dark hilum colors including dark brown, brown, and grayish brown than those with yellow hilum colors. Concerning pod colors, crop damage was less significant in cultivars with dark brown pod color than with the light brown. Cultivars with short pod length (4.0-4.5 cm) at full seed (R6) stage showed lower seed damage rates by R. clavatus than those with long pod length (>5.6 cm). Therefore, characteristics of hilum, pod, pubescence colors, and pod length were significantly related and linked to the cultivar resistance to R. clavatus.

        Characterization of hostplant innate immunity from Kharif-II rice cultivars against rice leaf folder (Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guen.) via in-situ screening and physicochemical assays

        In 2019 and 2020, ten rice (Oryza sativa) cultivars including check commonly grown in the Kharif-II season (June-November) were in-situ screened against rice leaf folder (RLF, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis) in RLF-prone experimental plots in Bagerhat, Bangladesh, following RCBD (Randomized Complete Block Design) with three replicates and physicochemical analyses in the lab to evaluate their innate immunity to the pest. Of ten cultivars, only BRRI (Bangladesh Rice Research Institute) rice 72 and 87 tended to be moderately resistant (damage scale 3.00–4.99), while BRRI rice 73, 80, and 90 were susceptible to RLF (damage scale 7.00–8.99) and none appearing to be highly resistant or susceptible. In-field evaluation of Kharif-II rice cultivars against RLF, principal component analysis identified 14 key variables of 30 contributing maximum variance of PCA1 and PCA2. Cluster analysis grouped studied rice cultivars into four clades with clade II of BRRI rice 72 and 87 belonging to resistant club with high tannin and phenol contents (mg/g) assuring relatively higher yield (MT/ha) over others. A 3-D surface plot demonstrated, upsurge of larvae/ hill speeded up RLF incidence and severity (%) while bubble plot depicted, tiller infection (%) and RLF-fold length (cm) enhanced by leaf width (cm) limited the grain yield (MT/ha) in rice, well-supportive to correlation analysis. As per regression analysis, unit increment of tannin and phenol content (mg/g) declined tiller infection by 11 and 14%. Identified these two resistant cultivars could be used as potential parents in further breeding programs to develop an elite high yielding Kharif-II rice line by combining their novel resistance through hybridization.

        국내 쌀품종의 전분 및 품질 특성

        국내 쌀 품종의 아밀로오즈 함량에 따른 총 11종 쌀가루의 아밀로오즈 함량, 손상전분, 수분함량, 수분흡수지수(WAI), 수분용해지수(WSI), 입도분포 및 호화특성을 분석하였다. 국내 메성 쌀 품종 쌀가루의 아밀로오즈 함량은 9.95-21.52, 중간찰성은 11.69 및 찰성은7.09%의 아밀로오즈 함량을 나타냈으며, 유색미 메성품종은 17.06-18.36% 및 유색 찰성 품종은 7.04%의 아밀로오즈 함량을 나타내는 것으로 확인되었다. 국내 쌀품종 쌀가루의 수분함량은 7.19-13.89%를 나타내었고,수분흡수지수(WAI) 및 수분용해지수(WSI)의 경우 각각 남일 및 동진찰이 가장 높게 나타났고, 수분함량이 높은 시료의 경우 손상전분 함량이 낮은 것을 확인하였다. 국내 11품종의 쌀가루 입도 분포는 27.61- 189.67 μm를 나타내었으며 일반 메성 신동진 이 189.67 μm로 가장높은 입도를 나타내었으며, 일반메성 품종인 남일이27.61 μm로 가장 낮은 입도분포를 나타내는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 본 연구결과 쌀가루의 수분함량이 낮은시료가 전분입도가 낮으나 손상전분 함량이 높은 것으로 확인되었으며, 일반 메성 품종의 경우 수분함량 및입도가 작은 시료는 최고 점도 및 최종점도가 높고, 유색메성품종의 경우 수분함량 및 입도가 작은 시료는 점도가 낮은 결과를 나타냈다. A total 11 Korean rice cultivar was prepared and investigated for its starch and quality characteristics. Amylose content, damaged starch contnent, water contnent, water absorption index (WAI), water solubility index (WSI), particle size and pasting properties of rice flours were measured. The amylose content of waxy, middle waxy and non waxy type domestic normal rice cultivars were 7.09%, 11.69% and 18.58-21.52%, respectively. Moisture content of 11 Korean rice cultivar were 7.19-13.89%. WAI and WSI did not show variations by amylose contents. Sample with high moisture contents was lower damaged starch contents. Particle size of samples was 27.61-189.67 μm. Final viscosity and pasting temperature of the samples was shown to rage from 45.54 to 313.94 RVA and from 71.03 to 87.98℃, respectively. In this study, results indicated that samples with low moisture contents tend to shown low particle size and high damaged starch contents regardless waxy, middle-waxy, and non waxy type.
