CMMI 기반 시스템공학과 프로젝트관리 통합 프로세스 아키텍처 개발

시스템의 규모와 요구기능은 점점 대형화되고 복잡해지고 있다. 이러한 시스템 개발 프로젝트의 성공적인 수행을 위해서는 프로세스에 따른 체계적인 시스템공학(SE)과 프로젝트관리(PM) 활동이 요구되고 있다. 시스템 개발 조직에서는 SE&PM 프로세스 개선 및 능력평가 모델인 CMMI를 채택하여 SE&PM 능력 확보에 노력하고 있으며, 이를 위해 조직의 비즈니스 특성에 맞는 조직 표준 프로세스를 구축하여 적용하고 있다. 하지만 시스템 개발조직 현장에서는 CMMI 프로세스 영역 간 상호연관성에 대한 충분한 이해부족으로 조직 프로세스 구축에 어려움이 따르고 있다. 또한 SE와 PM활동은 시스템 개발에 있어서 상호 밀접하게 연관되어 있기 때문에 SE와 PM 프로세스는 상호 통합 및 연계성이 확보되어야만 효과적이고 효율적인 프로젝트 수행이 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 시스템 개발 조직에서 CMMI 기반 조직 프로세스 구축에 참조되고 활용될 수 있는 조직의 SE&PM 통합 프로세스 아키텍처를 제시한다. The scale and required functionality of modern systems have increased and become more complicated. To successfully carry out the systems development projects, appropriate systems engineering (SE) and project management (PM) activities are required for the underlying process. In a system development organization, it is an effort to secure the SE & PM capability by adopting the CMMI is an evaluation model of improvement and ability of SE&PM process. To achieve the goal each organization establishes and uses its own organizational standard process, which satisfies the business characteristics. However, in practice, due to the lack of sufficient understanding on the interrelationship among different CMMI process areas, there still exist some difficulties with constructing organization processes. In systems development, the activities of SE are closely related with those of PM. Thus, the processes of SE and PM need to be fully integrated and explicitly linked to each other in order to complete the projects successfully. In this paper, we propose a SE&PM integration process architecture of organization that can be utilized in the system development organization is referenced in the construction of CMMI-based organizational process.

시스템공학 및 프로젝트관리 통합프로세스의 조직 내재화를 위한 성숙도 모델에 관한 연구

대형·복합 시스템의 개발을 성공적으로 수행하기 위해 조직에서는 CMMI(Capability Maturity Model Integration)를 채택하여 시스템공학(SE;Systems Engineering) 및 프로젝트관리(PM;Project Management)의 프로세스 개선과 조직 성숙도를 향상시키기 위해 노력하고 있다. 하지만 국내의 많은 조직에서 CMMI 레벨3 인증 획득 후에 SE&PM(Systems Engineering & Project Management) 프렉티스(Practices) 그 자체의 수행에만 집중하고, 이의 조직 내 내재화에 필요한 지원환경의 구축에 는 소홀한 편이다. 결과로, 그러한 조직에서 내재화를 거치지 않은 프로세스 성숙도의 경우 더 이상의 진전 및 유지는 어렵게 된다. 내재화를 달성하기 위한 선행조건으로 조직의 비즈니스에 부응하는 표준 프로세스가 정의되고, 이를 수행하는 조직원 의 교육이 적절히 수행되어야 하며, 또한 프로세스 수행 시 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 지원도구가 확보되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 P-P-T(Process-People-Tool) 관점에서 SE&PM 프로세스에 대한 조직 내 내재화를 달성하기 위한 성숙도 모델을 연구하여 제안하였다. 제안된 내재화 성숙도 모델은 CMMI 인증을 준비하고 있거나 또는 이미 인증을 받은 조직에서 SE&PM 프로세스 내재화를 위한 조직차원의 전략과 계획을 수립하는데 많은 도움이 될 것이다. To develop large-scale complex systems, many organizations have attempted to improve the processes specified in systems engineering (SE) and project management (PM) by adopting CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration). On the other hand, most domestic organizations that already acquired CMMI level 3 have focused on SE&PM practices while providing less investment in building up the environment for institutionalizing those processes. In such organizations, the process maturity without advancing to institutionalization can be neither enhanced nor maintained. To resolve the problem, the following remedies can be suggested. A standard process should first be defined to meet the business mission of the organization and to carry out the process successfully, the people should be properly trained and the appropriate tools be provided. In this study, a maturity model to accomplish institutionalization was examined based on the aforementioned P-P-T (Process-People-Tool) concept. The model proposed would be useful in developing strategies and plans for process institutionalization when the organizations are in the preparation stages for a CMMI certificate or have already acquired one.
