본 연구는 남산예술센터 디지털 아카이브가 지향하는 시맨틱 디지털 아카이브 데이터 모델 설계를 위해 해외 연극 디지털 아카이브를 검토하고 남산예술센터 디지털, 아카이브에 적용된 기술과 이를 반영한 데이터 모델을 논하였다. 그다음 국내 연극 디지털 아카이브 활성화를 위해 디지털 아카이브 데이터를 활용한 해외 연구 사례를 소개하고, 디지털 아카이브가 국내 연극 연구에 활용되기 위한 방향을 제언하였다. 남산예술센터 디지털 아카이브는 공연자료를 서비스하는 것 이상으로 공공극장으로서 역할을 담당한 남산예술센터의 활동상을 담아내고자 하였다. 특히 곧 문을 닫는 남산예술센터의 문화 예술적 가치를 디지털 아카이브를 통해 유지하고, 이를 보존하여 공공에 서비스하고자 하는 목적이 있었다. 이를 반영하기 위한 데이터 모델 설계에 있어 해외 공연예술 디지털 아카이브를 조사하였다. 호주의 오스테이지(AusStage)와 노르웨이 오슬로 대학의 입센 아카이브(Ibsen Archive)를 통해 다음의 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫 번째, 라이브 공연에 특화된 오스테이지의 10개 데이터 유형은 공연을 중심으로 공연과 유관한 정보들을 데이터 유형으로 설계하였다. 두 번째, 디지털 아카이브 데이터 모델 설계와 구축 주체는 공연 창작자 및 연구자, 관계자이다. 이는 공연 및 연극 디지털 아카이브 구축은 학술연구 관점에서 진행되어야 함을 의미한다. 마지막으로 디지털 아카이브는 연극학 연구 플랫폼으로 기능하며, 실제 데이터 기반 연구 결과를 아카이브에 수렴하는 등 연극학 연구에 적극적으로 활용되고 있었다. 이러한 점에 주목하여 남산예술센터 디지털 아카이브 데이터 모델을 설계하고, 구체적인 데이터 모델의 내용을 논하였다. 결론 및 제언에서는 데이터로 가능한 연극학 연구의 사례들을 간략하게 언급하고, 국내 연극사를 아우르는 연극 디지털 아카이브 데이터 모델 설계와 데이터 구축의 필요성을 논하였다. The purpose of this research is to review foreign examples of establishing a digital archive for theaters, which have influenced on the Semantic Digital Archive of the Namsan Arts Center, and to elaborate on the technology applied to the archive and its data model. This study also introduces overseas cases of using the digital data for theatrical studies and suggests a way to encourage Korean practices of creating theatrical digital archives and regarding them a source for academic research. The Digital Archive of the Namsan Arts Center does not only aim to provide the quality documents of their own performances to citizens as a service but also to display the achievements that the center have shown as a public theater. In particular, its purpose is to preserve the cultural and artistic values of the theater through the digital archive as it is soon to be closed down. This research discusses the investigation conducted to attain theses goals into foreign cases. The Australian example (AusStage) and the Ibsen Archive of the University of Oslo in Norway have provided several insights to the design of the data model for the archive: Firstly, the AusStage archiving system, which has severed as a specialized tool to record live performances in particular, categorizes 10 different types of data when archiving a performance; Secondly, the subjects of designing data models for a theatrical digital archive are always performers and members of staff of the theater as well as researchers, by which mean that digital archives for performances and plays should be established from an academic research perspective; Lastly, a digital archive serves as a useful platform for theatrical studies and it is also possible that the archive records the academic practices based on its digital data. Based on these ideas, this study explains the process of designing data models of the Namsan Arts Center Digital Archive and its specific contents. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of establishing digital archives for Korean theaters and suggests that the archives include the beginning of New Drama and even the contemporary Korean plays in order to promote data-based and macroscopic studies.

본 연구는 2021년 1월 1일 서비스를 시작한 남산예술센터 디지털 아카이브 개선 방안에 관한 연구이다. 약 1년 간의 디지털 아카이브 사용 패턴을 분석하여 사용 빈도와 공연 지식을 전달을 위한 데이터 및 아카이브 페이지를 개선 대상으로 선정하였다. 그리고 데이터 활용과 디지털 아카이브 사용의 편의성 도모를 위해 웹 서비스 개선 역시 개선 대상으로 선정하였다. 개선 대상은 인물/단체 네트워크 그래프, 공간 아카이브, 개념 데이터, 데이터 활용, 웹 서비스 의 다섯 개 영역이며, 개선 방안 검토를 위해 국내외 디지털 아카이브와 예술 지식정보 웹 사이트, 포털 등의 사례를 살펴보았다. 사례 검토를 바탕으로 개선 대상의 보완 방향을 논하였다. 인물/단체 사이의 관계를 네트워크로 구축하기 위해서는 관계 데이터의 보완과 이를 기반으로 하는 데이터 축적이 필요하다. 공간 아카이브는 극장 360VR 이미지 위에 자료와 정보를 함께 제공하여, 공연의 시각적 스토리텔링이 가능하다. 개념 데이터는 개념정의나 설명 등을 보완하여 공연사적 지식을 풍부하게 전달할 필요가 있다. 그리고 웹 서비스 개선으로 공연 정보를 보다 직관적으로 활용할 수 있어야 하며, 창작 및 산업 등에 활용할 수 있도록 원본 데이터 및 기계가독형 데이터를 공개해야 할 것이다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 실행을 위해 정부에서 진행 중인 공공데이터 구축 사업을 검토하고, 이를 활용할 것을 제언하였다.

한국연극과 드라마투르그의 역할과 위치 : 프로덕션 드라마투르그 개념을 중심으로

This paper is a report on the activities of dramturg in the Korean theater. I started dramaturg job by the proposal of directors in the middle of 2000s. My early dramaturg duties, without a clear recognition, were critical commentary in the objective gaze(``outside eye``). Having a lasting relationships with particular theater company, I began to recognize the role of ``production dramaturg``. In the 2010s, producing theaters, Namsan Arts Center, Myeongdong Theater and National Theater Company of Korea, were launched and I began to work professional dramaturg. This process showed how dramaturg works and environment changes of the Korean theater production were closely related each other. This paper sought to explore the role of the Korean dramaturg through the dramaturg theory and history of world theater`s. This article mentioned theoretical case of Lessing and Brecht. In particular, Brecht`s concept of ``production dramaturg`` will be a good reference to ``theater company dramaturg`` and ``producing theater dramamturg`` in Korea. 이 글은, 한국연극에서의 드라마투르그 활동에 대한 현장 보고서의 성격을가진다. 필자는 2000년대 중반 개별 연출가들의 제안에 의해 드라마투르그 작업을 시작했다. 필자의 초기 드라마투르그 활동은 드라마투르기에 대한 명확한 인식 없이 평론가의 객관적 시선(``외부자적 시선``)에서의 논평에 대한 요구로부터 시작되었다. 이후 여러 시행착오를 거치며 드라마투르그 활동에 대한의식적인 관심을 가지기 시작했다. 특히 특정 극단과 지속적인 관계를 맺으면서 ``프로덕션 드라마투르그``의 역할을 인지하기 시작했다. 그리고 2010년대에접어들면서 남산예술센터, 명동예술극장, (재)국립극단, 두산아트센터 등 국공립 제작극장의 출범 이후 전문적인 드라마투르그로서 활동하게 되었다. 이상초기의 자생적이고 무의식적인 활동 과정, 특정 극단과 지속적인 유대감과 파트너십을 가지고 활동하던 시기, 2009년 이후 본격화된 제작극장 시대에 요구되는 전문적인 드라마투르그 활동 등 필자의 활동 과정 자체가 한국연극의 환경 변화와 드라마투르그의 작업이 얼마나 긴밀하게 맞물려 있는지 보여준다. 따라서 이 글에서는, 필자가 드라마투르그로서 겪었던 혼란과 고민들을 정리하고자 했다. 그리고 그러한 고민들을 해결해나가는 방법의 하나로 드라마투르기의 이론과 역사의 한국적 적용 가능성과 현실적인 비전을 제시해보고자했다. 이 글에서 이론적 역할 모델의 일부로 제시한 레싱과 브레히트의 사례, 특히 브레히트의 ``프로덕션 드라마투르그``의 개념은 한국적 현실에서 ``극단 드라마투르그``와 ``극장 드라마투르그``의 앞으로의 발전 가능성에 중요한 참고지점이 되었다.
