과도기의 북한철학에 나타난 변화와 이론적 특징

이 글은 수령의 유일 영도가 강조되는 1967년부터 주체사상 총서가 발간되는 1985년에 이르는 시기에 나온 북한 자료를 바탕으로 주체사상의 이론적 특징을 개괄하는 가운데(2, 3장), 맑스주의 철학과 서양철학 연구(4장), 전통철학과 종교 연구(5장)에서 나타난 변화된 인식을 살펴보려는 데 있다. 보편화 시기에 이루어진 우리 시대의 규정과 수령론은 이후 주체사상의 체계화를 구성하고 촉진하는 데 핵심적 요인으로 작용했다. 이 두 가지 요인은 주체의 철학적 원리와 사회역사적 원리의 근저에는 자리 잡고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 주체사상의 전체적 내용과 구성요소에서 일관되게 나타나고 있다.(2장) 체계화 시기의 북한철학은 주체사상의 독창성을 부각시키는 특징이 있다. 다만 주체사상의 정당화 논리에서 북한 학자들 사이에 편차가 존재하며 다루는 대부분의 주제들은 수령론과 관련되어 있다.(3장) 주체사상의 보편화 및 체계화 과정은 달리 말하면 마르크스-레닌주의에 대한 해석의 변화과정이라고 할 수 있다. 70년대 북한 학자들의 마르크스-레닌주의에 대한 서술방식은 주체사상의 독창성을 강조하는 구도 속에서 그 세계관적 한계를 지적하는 특징을 지닌다. 또한 북한 학계의 서양철학 연구는 서양철학 일반에 대한 이론적 관심이 아니라 남한에 영향을 미치고 있는 현대 서양철학에 대해서만 관심을 집중한다는 데 그 특징이 있다.(4장) 1967년 유일사상체계가 성립되면서 북한의 민족문화정책이 편협하고 배타적인 방향으로 변하여 전통철학 연구는 크게 위축되었다. 또한 종교의 해독성이 특히 이 시기에 이르러 더욱 강조되었다. 종교는 착취계급을 위한 사상적 도구이며, 오늘날 그 사회경제적 지반은 청산되었지만 여전히 남아 있는 착취사회의 낡은 사상적 잔재라는 인식이 지배적 흐름을 이루었다.(5장) The purpose of this paper is to keep an overview theoretical features Juche ideology(2, 3 chapter) and to analysis the changes of marxist philosophy and western philosophy research(4 chapter), traditional philosophy and religion research(5 chapter) from 1967 unique domination of political leader emphasized until 1985 Juche ideology series published. So-called 'Our Age' prescription and political leadership theory made in 'universalization period', was a key factor constituting and promoting the systematization of Juche Ideology. This two key factors took place at the root of the philosophial principle and socio-historical principle of Juche Ideology, also was appeared consistently in all contents and components of Juche Ideology.(2chapter) In North Korean philosophy of 'systematization period', the originality of Juche Ideology is highlighted. Just, North scholars show various deviations in the logical justification of Juche Ideology, and connect most subjects treated with political leadership theory.(3chapter) In other words, the systematization and universalization process of Juche Ideology was the change process of interpretation about Marx-Leninism. In the description style on Marx-Leninism by 1970,s North scholars, while emphasizing the originality of Juche Ideology, pointing out the limit for world-view of Marx-Leninism. Also, the western philosophy research of North Korean academics was characterized by focusing attention only western philosophy had influence on South Korea, not western philosophy in general.(4chapter) Aftet unique ideology system was established in 1967, national culture policy of North Korea was changed to narrow and exclusive direction, accordingly raditional philosophy research was greatly dispirited. also, especially the harm of religion was emphasized this period. At that time in North Korea, following recognition was dominant flow ; the religion is ideological tool of exploited class ; its socio-economic base was liquidated but still remained as old ideological remnants of exploitative society.(5chapter)

북한 주체사상의 기독교적 신앙체계에 관한 연구: 율법 - 복음의 관계와 주체사상체계 변화의 등가성 및 선교 공략점 제시

북한에는 북한전체인민들이 반드시 지켜야 할 지도이념 및 행동규범이 있는데, 그것은 바로 주체사상과 10대원칙(유일사상체계 확립의 10대원칙)이다. 주체라는 용어는 1955년부터 대두되었지만, 이것이 하나의 사상으로 제시된 때는 김일성이 빨치산 아류인 갑산파를 제거하고 일인독재 권력을 구축하게 된 1967년도이다. 북한전체문헌에는 `주체사상`이라는 용어보다 `당의 유일사상체계`라는 용어가 압도적으로 많이 표기된다. 즉, 북한에서 `주체사상` 과 `당의 유일사상체계`는 동의어이다. `당의 유일사상`은 곧 김일성의 혁명정신을 가리킨다. 이 혁명정신은 김일성이 항일빨치산 활동을 통한 해방운동에 그 초점을 맞추고 있다. 즉, 김일성이 일제의 압박에서 조선을 해방시킨 구원자요, 일제 암흑기에서 조선에 빛을 비춰준 태양이라고 그의 존재를 부각시키는 것이 주체사상의 주요기능이다. 따라서 이 주체사상은 하나님이 이스라엘의 구원자가 되심을 전재로 제시된 기독교의 율법과 같다고 할 수 있다. 율법의 기본원리는 `십계명`으로, 하나님을 섬기는 법과 공동체 구성원이 지켜야 할 기초적인 규율이다. 북한의 주체사상, 당의 유일사상에도 기본원리가 있는데 바로 10대원칙이다. 이 10대원칙은 십계명과는 달리 제1조부터 제10조까지 김일성에 대한 절대적 복종 및 맹목적인 충성을 요구하고 있다. 제1조는 “위대한 수령 김일성동지의 혁명사상으로 온 사회를 일색화하기 위하여 목숨 바쳐 투쟁하여야 한다”이다. 여기서의 혁명사상이 곧 유일사상이요, 주체사상이다. 기독교는 율법으로 끝나지 않는다. 구약을 대표하는 것이 율법이라면 신약을 대표하는 것은 복음이다. 이 복음의 기능은 율법을 완성시키는 것이다. 완성시키시는 이는 예수 그리스도이다. 김일성이 제시한 주체사상은 김정일에 의해 체계화되어 `김일성주의`로 발전했고 이것은 크게 `김일성의 유일사상체계`와 `김정일의 유일지도체계`로 양분된다. `유일지도체계`의 의미는 김정일이 주체사상의 유일한 해석자요, 완성자라는 것이다. 이는 복음의 주체인 예수 그리스도와 그 존재적 성격 및 그 역할에 있어 유사성을 갖는다. 김정일 사후, 사상의 독점권을 틀어쥐고 있는 김정은은 `김일성-김정일주의`를 선언했다. 이것은 `김정일 애국주의`로 대변된다. 이 `김정일 애국주의`의 유일한 해석자요, 계승자는 오직 김정은, 자신뿐이며 자신만의 고유영역이라는 것이다. 만일 누구라도 이 영역을 침범하면 그는 루시퍼 같은 존재로 박멸의 대상이 된다. 이는 유일사상의 주체(중심)에 김정은도 포함됨을 의미한다. 김정은은 유일사상체계를 더욱 심화 확대시켰는데, 자신에게 무조건적 맹종하게 하는 쪽으로만 강화시켰다. 2013년에는 `유일사상체계 확립의 10대원칙`을 `유일영도체계확립의 10대원칙`으로 전환시켜 자신의 지도와 영도를 제도적으로 절대화시켰다. 이점이 기독교의 복음과 가장 큰 차이라고 할 수 있다. 예수 그 리스도가 제시한 복음의 모토는`사랑`(마 5:43-44, 요 15:12)과 `섬 김`(마 20:28, 마 23:11-12)이다. 그런데, 북한의 김정은은 자신으로의 권력 독점을 위해 북한의 사상체계를 영도체계로 전환시키며 사유화하였다. 또한, 권력독점에 대한 정당성을 내세우기 위해 자신에 대한 우상화 작업을 전개하고 있다. 그런데, 그 우상화 정도가 선대 김일성, 김정일 시기보다 훨씬 더 그 강도가 높다는 것이다. 그로 인해, 적지 않은 부작용이 나타나는 것으로 보인다. 이 같은 양상은 북한주민들이 지도자(김정은)에 대한 `신들림`(신화적 사고)의 현상이 엷어지고 있다는 증거이다. 김정은이 30대 초반의 젊은 나이인 것이 하나의 요인일 수 있다. 하지만 가장 핵심 변인은 북한주민들이 외부세계에 점점 노출되고 있다는 사실이다. 이것이 그들로 하여금 지도자 김정은에 대한 `신화적 사고`가 점점 엷어지게 하는 동인으로 작동되었다. 즉, 지도자 인상에 대한`신들림의 현 상`에서 점점 깨어나고 있다. 바로 이 지점이 북한선교 공략점이다. 계속해서 북한주민들로 하여금 외부세계에 대해 눈을 뜨게 함으로 지도자에 대한 `신화적 사고`의 지배에서 벗어나게 하는 것이다. 다시 말해, 지도자 인상에 신들려 있는 그들을 깨어나게 하여 자율적인 사고를 할 수 있는 상식적인 인간으로 돌려놓는 것이다. 그 방법은 크게 두 가지 측 면으로 접근할 수 있다. 하나는 선교적 측면으로, 대표적인 방법은 `대북방송` 및 `대북전단발송`이 있다. 다른 하나는 교류협력 측면의 접근방법이다. 남북교류협력도 궁극적으로 북한을 개방화로 이끌어 낼 수 있는 큰 동력이다. 대표적인 방법으로는`개성공단 재 가동` 및 `금강산관광 재개`를 들 수 있다. 남북한 종교교류도 북한 종교의 제도적 변화를 가져오게 할 수 있는 `중대 전환점`으로 작동될 수 있다. The Christian system of belief is the law and the gospel. The law was given to the people of Israel through Moses, and the gospel was given to mankind through Jesus Christ (John 1:17). The law is to minister to the LORD God, who delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt and crossed the Red Sea (Exodus 20: 2-3). The gospel was completed only by the words of Jesus, who came to this earth with the glory of the Only Begotten of God (Matt. 5:17). And that the host of the salvation (the way to the Father) is Jesus Christ Himself (John 14: 6). If we examine North Korea`s Juche idea closely, we can dis-cover the relationship between Christian law and the gospel. In other words, the `Juche Ideology`, which was proclaimed in 1967 when the Kim Il Sung dictatorship was established is like law. the `Suryong System`(Kim Ilsungism) that proposed in 1974 when Kim Jong Il was officially appointed as the successor is like gospel. In addition, `Kim Ilsungism - Kim jongIlism`, which Kim Jong Un proclaimed in 2012, can be regarded as the character of the `Gospel`. In the North Korean data, the term `Monolithic Ideal Logical System of the Party` is more used than the term `Juche Ideology`. This is linked to Kim Il Sung`s revolutionary ideology, and the ideology of revolution is based on Kim Il Sung`s anti-Japanese revolutionary activities. In other words, This infuses as follows. Kim Il Sung saved Joseon from Japanese colonial rule. so, He is like a `sun` that shines light in darkness. Therefore, North Korean peoples should be serve Kim Il Sung and follow Kim Il Sung. So, there are 10 principles to keep the Juche idea, which lists the code of conduct that says Kim Il Sung must be unconditionally believed. The first principle is “to struggle for the sake of unifying the whole society with the revolutionary ideology of the great leader Kim Il Sung”. The revolutionary ideology is like the Only ideology, the Juche idea. In 1974, Kim Jong Il systematized the Juche idea as `Kim Ilsungism`. This then, It was seperated `Kim Il Sung Unique Ideology` and `Kim Jong Il Unique Leadership System`. The `Kim Jong Il Unique Leadership System` has the same gospel charac-ter of Jesus Christ. Kim Jong Il explained about `the unique leadership system`. everything focused on me is like doing for the Suryoung. This is like words of Jesus Christ as follows. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”(John 14: 6) as such, Kim Jong Il claims that he is the only interpreter, successor, and finisher of Juche idea Under the current regime of Kim Jong Un, `Kim Ilsungism - Kim Jongilism` is the national guiding ideology. This ideology is represented as `Kim Jong Il patriotism`. And it is only Kim Jong Un that interprets, complements and completes this ideology. Aside Kim Jung Un, everyone is traitors, opponents, and heretics. Thus, It shows the Juche idea system imitates a Christian belief system that accept `Jehovah God` as the host of the law, and `Jesus Christ,` as the host of the gospel. but there is a great contradiction between these two(Juche system-gospel) The motto of the Christian gospel is `love` (John 15:12) and `serving`(Matthew 20:28, Matthew 23: 11-12). Contrary Juche system is only concentrate for `domination` and `reign`. At present, Kim Jong Un is engrossed in his propaganda of idolization along with the repressive terrorism. However, it is producing the side effects. In other words, the `mythical thinking` of North Korean people about Kim Jong Un, `god`s phenomenon` is getting thin-ner. This is attack point of North Korean missions. By continu-ing to open the eyes of the North Korean people to the outside world. so they make them free from the mythical thought on the leader (Kim Jung Un). The method can be approached in two major ways. One of the representative aspects of the mission is the broadcasting to North Korea and the sending of flyers to North Korea. The other is an approach of exchange and cooperation. Overall exchange and cooperation, including inter-Korean religious exchanges, including the restart of the Gaeseong Industrial Complex and the resumption of tourism on Mount Kumgang, will ultimately work as a way to change North Korea.

북한철학의 패러다임 변화와 사상적 특징

이 글은 주체사상의 이론적 내용에 주목하기보다, 지성사적 관심 아래 북한사회주의 역사적 과정에서 주체사상이 어떠한 굴곡을 겪었으며, 그 과정에서 나타난 사상적 특징이 무엇인지를 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 우선 주체사상의 이론적 위상이 변화한 과정을 역사적 맥락에서 살펴본 후, 위상변화의 원인을 세 측면에서 분석하였다. 주체사상은 대내외적 환경의 변화에 따른 권력의 필요성 때문에 그 이론적 위상과 내용의 강조점이 변화해 왔다. 주체사상의 이론적 위상 변화를 가져온 원인은 크게 볼 때, 유일사상체계 확립의 요구, 북한 지도부의 새로운 시대인식, 전후 20여년의 경제성장을 가능하게 만든 북한 특유의 사회주의 건설노선에 대한 자부심을 들 수 있다. 다음으로 주체사상의 역사적 변화과정에서 드러난 사상적 특징을 고찰하였다. 북한 지도부의 강력한 탈식민 열망은 주체사상이 마르크스-레닌주의를 대체하고 인류철학사상의 최고봉이라는 절대적 신념체계로 치닫는 동력이었으며, 주체사상 속에 포함된 유교전통은 정치적 리더십을 확립하고 사회주의 공업화를 촉진하기 위해 선택적으로 활용된 ‘만들어진 전통’이었다. 나아가 주체사상은 역사적 전개과정에서 단순한 통치이데올로기를 넘어 북한주민의 삶 속에 깊이 내면화된 종교적 차원으로 발전하였다. The purpose of this paper is to research under the interest in intellectual history how Juche ideology has undergone trials in the historical process of North Korean socialism, what ideological features it revealed in that process, rather than to focus on theoretical contents of Juche ideology. First, after researching theoretical phase shift of Juche ideology in historical context, I analyzed the cause of the phase shift in three aspects. Juche ideology has been changed in terms of the theoretical phase and emphasis of contents, because of the need for power to respond internal -external environmental change. On a large scale, for the cause of the phase shift, requirement for establishment of the unique ideology system, North Korean leader's awareness about the advent of a new era, and North Korean leader's pride on a unique line of socialist construction enabling the economic growth of more than 20 years after the war, can be exemplified. Secondly, I analyzed the ideological features shown in the historical change process of Juche ideology. North Korean leader's strong post-colonial aspirations was the power made to replace the Marx -Leninism with Juche ideology, and the Confucian tradition contained in it was the 'invention of tradition' which was utilized selectively to establish the political leadership and promote the socialist industrialization. Further, Juche ideology, in its historical development process, has developed into the religious dimension that was deeply internalized in the lives of North Koreans, beyond ruling ideology.

연구논문 : 주체사상과 북한외교정책 -사상적 기조가 외교정책에 미친 영향을 중심으로-

본 글은 탈냉전기 북한외교정책의 기조와 목표를 ‘주체사상’이라는 특정 이데올로기를 통하여 살펴보았다. 주지하는 바와 같이 북한의 공식 통치이데올로기는 ‘주체사상’이다. 이러한 통치이데올로기는 북한 주민들의 모든 생활을 지배하고 통제하는것은 물론, 실천규범으로써 강력한 영향력을 행사하고 있다. 이는 대내 규범으로써만이 아니라 대외관계에 있어서도 중요한 지침이 되고 있다. 본 글은 북한에서 주체사상이 차지하는 이같은 중요성에 입각하여 주체사상의 어떠한 측면이 북한의 대외정책을 결정하고 이를 실천에 옮기는지를 중점적으로 살펴보았다. 주체사상이 북한의 대외정책에 미친 영향을 요약하면 첫째, 북한으로 하여금 자주외교를 추진하게 하였다. 실제 북한은 중.소분쟁의 상황하에서 ‘지배주의’ 및 ‘패권주의’로부터 자율성을 확보하려는 자주외교를 내세움으로써 김일성 정권의 공고화를 추구해 왔다. 중.소 분쟁과 이에 따른 중.소간의 대북 견인경쟁의 심화는 북한의 상대적 자율성을 심화시켰고, 북한은 중국과 소련의 대한반도 정책이 북한의 입장과 어긋날 경우 국가목표와 이해관계에 따라 적극 대응할 수 있었다. 둘째, 북한은 혁명외교를 추진하였다. 북한은 제국주의를 반대하며 사회주의 혁명을 일국 차원에서 뿐만 아니라 세계적 차원에서 완수할 것임을 지속적으로 천명하였다. 이를위하여 북한은 대내적으로는 자력갱생 경제발전 전략을 추진하는 한편, 대외적으로는 사회주의 국가들과의 반제 연대 및 아프리카 아시아 신생국가들과의 반식민지 연대를 통한국제혁명 역량과의 단결강화를 추구해 왔던 것이다. 셋째, 북한은 해방외교를 추진하였다. 북한은 ‘하나의 조선정책’을 내세워 정통성 있는 정부인 북한이 ‘미제국주의의 식민지’인 남한을 해방해야 함을 주장하는 한편, ‘조국 통일을 위하여 선(先)주한미군 철수, 국가보안법 철폐, 애국정권 수립 등의 제 조건 이행, 후 고려민주연방공화국 창설을 통한 대외 및 대남 선전적 외교를 강화해 왔던 것이다.결국 냉전기 북한은 남조선 해방과 공산혁명을 위하여 진영론에 입각한 시계추 외교정책을 추구해 온 것으로 볼 수 있다. 향후 북한의 대외정책 추진에 있어서 주체사상은 변함없는 사상적 기조로써 역할 할 것이다. 북한체제를 지탱하는 것은 경제력도 정치력도 아닌 주체사상이기 때문이다. The present study looks into the basis and goals of the DPRK``s foreign policies in the post.Cold War era. The official ruling ideology is "Juche (Self.reliance) Ideology" in North Korea. The ideology has a powerful influence on the every corner of North Korean residents`` life as practice guideline. It serves as an important guideline in internal and external relations. In view of the importance of Juche Ideology, this study focuses on what aspects of it determine Pyongyang``s foreign policies. The following are the impacts of Juche Ideology on DPRK``s external policies: first, the Ideology led North Korea into independent diplomacy. In the vortex of the Sino.Soviet conflict, North Korea cemented its regime by claiming to advocate independent diplomacy to protect its autonomy from "hegemonism". The DPRK``s autonomy was strengthened by the Sino.Soviet conflict and the ensuing competition over the small country. Accordingly, Pyongyang could actively and independently cope with the big powers`` policies toward the Korean Peninsula. Second, North Korea pursued a revolutionary diplomacy. The DPRK continued to proclaim that the country will complete socialist revolution against imperialism all over the world. To this end, Pyongyang went ahead with the strategy of self.reliant economic development, while seeking to reinforce the anti.imperialistic and anti.colonial solidarity with international revolutionary forces, such as socialist and Asian and African newly independent nations. Third, North Korea pursued emancipation diplomacy. The DPRK argued that the self .claimed legitimate country should emancipate "a colony of the US imperialism" like the ROK under the flag of "one Korea policy". To this end, Pyongyang mounted diplomatic offensive, asking for the withdrawal of the US forces in South Korea, the abolition of the National Security Law, the establishment of the Democratic Federal Republic of Korea" etc. After all, its seems North Korea adopted pendulum diplomacy based on the Camp theory in order to emancipated and communized South Korea. In future, Juche Ideology will continue to works as an ideological basis in pursuing Pyongyang``s foreign policies. It is the very Juche Ideology that supports the DPRK``s system.

김정은 시대의 "김일성-김정일주의": 주체사상과 선군사상의 추상화

북한의 이데올로기는 시대상황에 따라 진화해왔다. 김일성 시대에 전후 복구와 사회주의 건설을 위한 주체확립과 자주노선으로 주체사상이 등장했고, 김정일 후계체제의 확립과 수령의 유일지도체제를 확보하는 과정에서 주체사상은 보다 체계화되고 추상화된 순수이데올로기로 격상되었다. 권력승계 이후 김정일 시대는 사상 최대의 위기상황에서 사회주의 체제를 유지하고 지켜내기 위해 위기돌파의 정치담론으로 선군 정치를 제시했고, 결국 선군사상이라는 위기시대 실천이데올로기를 형성했다. 김정은으로의 권력승계가 완료된 지금 북한은 김일성-김정일 주의를 노동당의 새로운 지도사상으로 규정하고, 사회주의 건설시기의 주체사상과 사회주의 위기시기의 선군사상을 동렬의 공식 이데올로기로 격상시켰다. 경제 발전을 우선시하는 선경노선 혹은 인민생활 향상을 최우선에 두는 선민노선으로의 전환을 정당화하기 위해서는 김일성의 주체사상과 김정일의 선군사상을 순수이데올로기로 추상화 시켜 선반 위에 올려놓고, 김정은의 새로운 발전전략을 정당화하기 위한 실천이데올로기를 개발하고 제시해야 할 것이다. North Korean ideologies have evolved over the years. In Kim Il-sung era, post-war recovery efforts and the construction of socialism spearheaded North Korea`s road to the formation of the Juche(self-reliance) ideology. In the process of establishment of the succession system of Kim Jong-il and securement of the monolithic leadership system of Suryong or supreme leader, Juche ideology was elevated to a more systematized and conceptualized form of pure ideology. After succeeding to power, Kim Jong-il proposed Songun or the ‘military first’ politics as a way to maintain the socialist system as the guiding political discourse, and succeeded in shaping the Songun ideology into a practical ideology during the time of crisis of the country. Since the completion of power succession of Kim Jong-un, the new guiding ideology of the Workers` Party was stipulated as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and elevated Juche and Songun ideologies to an equal and official ideology of the country. In order to provide justification for economy-first or people-first policy that places economic development and improvement of people`s livelihood as priority, Kim Jong-un regime must develop and propose a practical ideology that can substantiate the new development strategy of the new leader.

주체사상의 순수 이데올로기화와 새로운 실천 이데올로기의 등장

2004년 김일성종합대학 주체사상 교과서는 기존의『주체사상 총서』와는 다른 체계와 개념으로 서술되었다. 이러한 변화는 두 가지를 암시하는데, 하나는 주체사상의 논리적 변화의 자연스러운 귀결이라는 것이다. 다른 하나는 김정일의“사회주의는 과학이다”이후 주체사상을‘과학적 진리’의 최정상에 놓고자한 정치적 기획이라는 것이다. 북한에서 주체 사상의 개념과 체계 변화는 맑스주의와의 결별인 동시에 내부 논쟁의 결과로 해석할수 있다. 그러나 보다 중요한 것은 소련 및 동유럽 해체 이후, 주체사상만이‘참다운 과학’임을 주장하고 이를 가장 보편적인 과학의 진리에 놓고자 한 것이었다. 즉, 주체사상의 순수 이데올로기화였다. 그리고 이러한 주체사상의 순수 이데올로기화에 덧붙여 현실에서 요구되는 구체적인‘실천의 지침’을 새롭게 정립하였는데, 김정일 시대의 선군사상이 바로 그것이다. 순수 이데올로기와 실천 이데올로기의 구분을 통해서 북한 주체사상의 변용을 살펴보는 것은 하나의 중요한 의미를 던져준다. 비록주체사상의 정당화 기능을 전제로 하겠지만, 북한의 사상적 지형이 불변이 아니라 개혁\개방에 요구되는 새로운 실천의 지침을 제시하고 사상의 유연성을 발휘할 수 있을 것이란점이다. The text of ‘Juche Idea’ in Kim Ilsung University was published in 2004 which was written in different system and concept compared with the former ‘Juche Text.’ This implies two things. One is the natural process of the development of Juche idea, the other is the political project aimed placing Juche idea on to the top of the ‘scientific truth’ since the Kim Jongil’s “Socialism is the Science” which was published in 1994. The change in the concept and system of Juche idea is able to be analyzed as the result of the domestic debates as well as the separation from the Marxism. But more important thing is that the North Korea seeks to place Juche idea on the universal truth after the collapse of the USSR and Eastern Europe. That is the making Juche idea as the pure ideology, and the North Korea established a new ideology required for the concrete reality, Songun idea. This analysis gives us a very important point. Although the premise of the justification by Juche idea, the ideological structure in North Korea is not fixed but changeable. Furthermore, the North Korea can show us the ideological flexibility that suggest the new practical guideline required for reform and open in the name of practical ideology.

주체사상과 선군사상의 상관관계

본 연구는 주체사상과 선군사상의 상관관계를 통치이데올로기의 대체, 양립, 그리고 하위담론적 관점에서 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 주체사상의 체계화 과정과 유사하게 선군사상도 선군이라는 단순한 개념에서 출발하여 사상체계로까지 발전되는 양상을 보이고 있다. 이는 선군사상 출현 이전의 통치담론들이 일시적으로 등장했다가 사라진 것과는 사뭇 다른 양상이다. 선군사상이 선군이라는 단순한 용어에서 출발하여 ``선군혁명령도``(1999), ``선군정치``(2000), ``선군사상``(2003), 그리고 ``선군사상교양``(2004∼)으로 심화 발전됨으로써 사상적 이론화가 시도되고는 있지만, 주체사상처럼 전일적 체계화를 이루지도, 독립적이고 배타적인 통치이데올로기로서 존재하지는 않는 듯하다. 즉 선군사상은 주체사상에 기초하고 있으며, 주체사상의 기본원리들을 전면적으로 구현하는 주체사상의 하위담론에 지나지 않는다. 하지만 선군사상이 통치이데올로기로서의 논리적 구조의 취약성과 유일성의 결여에도 불구하고 보편성의 추구를 통해 인민대중들에게 설득력을 제공하고 이들의 참여를 이끌어내고 있다는 점에서 일정 정도 실천이데올로기로서의 기능을 수행하고 있다. 이러한 논리로 볼 때 주체사상이 순수 이데올로기로 격상되고, 선군사상이 실천이데올로기로 발전할 가능성도 전혀 배제할 수는 없다. 북한이 이러한 경로를 택하게 된다면 그것은 김정일과 그의 후계자인 김정은의 몫이 될 것이다. 통치이데올로기의 창시권과 해석권은 북한의 지도자와 그의 후계자의 고유권한이기 때문이다. The goal of this article is to analyze the correlation between Juche and Songun (Military-first) idea in light of replacement, coexistence, and subordinate discourse. Similar to the process of development of Juche idea, the Songun idea has developed from a simple concept into political ideology in North Korea. This, mainly differentiates the Songun idea from the other short-lived governance discourse theories. Although the Songun idea has developed and materialized from an simple idea, into an applied policies such as "Songun-revolutionary leadership"(1999). "Songun-politics(2000), "Songun idea"(2003), and "Nationwide education campaign of Songun idea"(since 2004), it has not achieved the concrete status as Juche idea. In short, Songun will not develop into such degree of Juche idea because the basis of Songun idea lies in the principles of Juche ides, making it nothing more than a subordinate discourse of Juche idea. The Songun idea has continued to function as a practical ideology in despite of insufficiency logic in its structure and lack of distinctiveness because of its ubiquity, to the people of North Korea, the Songun idea effectively persuades people into its much needed participants. Looking at the correlation of Juche and Songun idea from such perspective, one cannot exclude the possibility in change of roles between Juche and Songun idea, Juche turning into a purely ideological form and Songun filling the role of practical ideology. If North Korea takes a such a route, it will purely be based on the decision of Kim Jong-Il and his heir Kim Jong-Un, since the privilege of interpreting and administrating such political ideology lies in the hands of Kim-Jong Il and his son.

선군사상에 대한 전통사상의 영향

Songun Ideology(先軍思想) has been only and all-round political ideology within North Korea, since Kim Jong-Il seized to power. In general, two kind of analysers are for this ideology. First, they extract some tradition-friendly components from it, and insist its relation with traditional thoughts. While the others see it as a variation of Marxism, and understand it a ‘practial ideology’ of Juche Ideology, that is a ‘genuine ideology’. But we shall be careful to have no confirmation bias in selecting tradition-friendly components. Moreover, Juche and Songun are not separable in their nature, like hierarchial ideologies theorists' arguments. We analyze the Ideology, considering its partial homogeneity with Korean traditional thoughts and its contextual isomorphism with Marxist ideologies. In conclusion, during Kim Jong-Un's reign, Songun Ideology can persist while be manipulated to match new era's conditions. 선군사상(先軍思想)이란 김정일 집권기 이래 북한의 유일하고도 포괄적인 통치 이데올로기로 표방되고 있는 이념이다. 이 이념의 기존 분석에는 크게 두 부류가 있다. 첫째, 한국 전통 사상과의 연관성에서 조명하되 그 구성요소를 선택적으로 이해하여 보려는 부류, 둘째, 마르크시즘과 그 변형 차원에서 조명하되 ‘순수 이데올로기’와 ‘실천 이데올로기’의 틀에 따라 이해하려는 부류이다. 요소 선택적인 관점이 지나친 자의성의 한계를 지니는 한편, 이데올로기의 층위에 따라 풀이하려는 관점 역시 무리한 적용의 한계를 갖는다. 따라서 여기서는 선군사상이 전통 사상과 일정한 구성요소적 동질성을 가지는 한편, 배경이 되는 사회적 맥락에서 동형성을 가진다는 점을 주목하여 고찰하였다. 결국 선군사상은 한편으로 마르크시즘에서 발원한 주체사상과의 본질적 동질성을 유지하는 가운데, 시대적 변화에 따른 편의적 이탈을 담보하는 사상이다. 그런 점에서 김정은 시대에 선군사상은 그 정치적 의의를 대체로 유지하면서도 전혀 다른 방향으로 이탈될 소지를 가지고 있다.

김일성 주체사상의 한반도 핵무력체제 구현과정: 통치이념의 철학적 기초와 집단정체성 변화를 중심으로

This study, centered around formation factors of the ‘psychological crowd’ of Gustave Le Bon, analyzes the formation and its change of collective identity of North Koreans and the process how the nuke armed forces system has been realized on the Korean Peninsular. It can be said that The Korean War and The United States of America are ‘specified stimulation ones’ among the formation factors of collective identity which North Korea formed through the ‘psychological crowd’, while ‘unconscious factor’ is Han(韓) Ideology, and ‘mental pollution’ is ‘crowd lines’. Also, Kimilsung Juche Ideology, North Koreans’ ruling ideology is seen as an inheritance of Han(韓) Ideology, a Korean tradition and its process of religious and political transformation. Since it kept ‘dignity of humanity’ at its first loop where Marx-Leninism and Han ideology were combined, Kimilsung Juche Ideology has been twisted by ‘Great Leaders’, a means of power dictatorship, transformed into ‘Socio-Political Organism’ for the purpose of the hereditary succession of power, returned to Marxist humanism under the system crisis caused by the collapse of communist block, and finally succeeded in developing nuke armed forces and finishing nuke state system, a physical realization of historical materialism, over time. Thus, nuke armed forces are a physical realization of Kimilsung Juche Ideology, the core loop of which is Han(韓) Ideology, not Kimilsung Juche Ideology. 본 연구는 귀스타브 르봉의 ‘심리학적 군중’ 형성 요인을 중심으로 북한 집단정체성 형성과 변화와 한반도 핵무력체제 구현과정을 분석하려 한다. 북한이 ‘심리학적 군중’을 통해 집단정체성을 형성해 가는 ‘특정한 자극 요인’은 ‘6.25전쟁과 미국’이며, ‘무의식적 요소’는 ‘한(韓)사상’이며, ‘정신적 감염’은 ‘군중노선’이라 볼 수 있다. 또한, 북한의 통치이념인 김일성 주체사상을 ‘전통적인 한(韓)사상의 계승과 종교적·정치적 변형과정’이라는 관점에서 보았다. 김일성 주체사상은 시대에 따라 ① 마르크스 레닌철학과 한(韓)사상이 결합하는 첫 고리에서는 인간의 존엄성이 살아 있으나, ② 권력 독재의 수단인 수령론에 의해 왜곡되고, ③ 권력세습의 목적과 함께 사회정치적 생명체론으로 변형되며, ④ 공산권 붕괴로 밀어닥친 체제 위기 속에서 마르크스의 인간중심철학론으로 되돌아와 ⑤ 핵무력의 개발과 핵체제 완성이라는 현상적 실체의 구현, 즉 유물사관의 물리적 실현에 성공했다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 북한 핵무력은 김일성 주체사상의 물리적 구현이며 그 핵심고리는 김일성 주체사상이 아니라 한(韓)사상이다.

학술논문5 : 북한의 지배 이데올로기로서의 선군사상에 관한 법제적 접근과 해석

During the constitutional reform in 2009, North Korea established a new practical ideology by adding to the preface Songun Ideology as part of their ruling ideology. Stipulating Songun ideology along with Juche (self-reliance) ideology seems to have systematically strengthened Songun politics. The addition of Songunideology as a fundamental principle of the constitution shows that they established a government operation system driven by the National Defense Committee (NDC) and a new direction of their ideology of Socialism. A few examples to show the legislative meaning of Songunideology are that they reinforced authority of the NDC during the constitutional reform in 2009, and that the Party Secretary Kim Jong-un created the First Chairman position in the NDC during the 2012 reform. Especially, their effort to incorporate Songun ideology into their ruling ideology has led to the organizational expansion of the NDC and the elevation of its constitutional importance. Now the legal theory from Juche ideology that has been the basic principle of the North Korea’s socialist constitution bears considerable interrelationship with Songun legislation. This thesis aims to shed light on the new changes in the ruling ideology during the Kim Jong-un era through legislative approach and interpretation based on the fact that Juche and Songun ideologies have been at the center of the changes in the North Korea’s ruling ideology.
