      • Whole Spine PA 검사 시 Center와 Tube Angle 변화에 따른 Cobb`s Angle의 비교

        목적: Whole Spine 검사 시 Center 와 Tube angle의 변화에 따라 Cobb’s angle의 변화를 측정하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: X-ray 장비는 canon사의 DHF-158를 사용하였고, 실험 도구는 Whole spine tool과 1칸에 4.3cm인 grid를 사용하였다. SID는 2m로 하고 일반적인 Whole spine 검사 시 환자와 detecter 사이가 약 20cm 정도 떨어지므로 Whole spine tool을 detecter 로 부터 약 20cm 떨어진 곳에 설치하고 grid를 부착 하였다, 정확한 center에 x-ray를 입사한 이미지를 얻기 위해 center점을 잡고 입사하여 영상을 획득하였다. 또한 어긋난 center로 입사한 영상의 이미지를 얻기 위해 tube를 -4.3cm, -8.6cm 내려서 x-ray를 입사하여 영상을 획득하였다. 그리고 tube angle 변화에 따른 Cobb’s angle을 측정하기 위해 tube angle을 각각 0°, 10°, 20°, 30° 주어서 영상을 획득하였다. 획득된 총 7개의 영상 각각의 Cobb’s angle을 측정하여 비교하였으며, 위와 같은 실험을 5회 반복하여 비교하였다. 결과: 7개 영상 모두 똑같은 Cobb’s angle이 나왔다. 결론: Center 와 Tube angle의 변화는 Cobb’s angle에 영향을 끼치지 않은 것을 알 수 있었다. Purpose: To check Cobb’s angle difference by the change of Center and Tube angle during Whole Spine examination. Materials and Methods: X-ray machine is DHF-158HII by Cannon used; experiment tool is spine tool and Grid that 4.3cm per each space used. Firstly SID is 2M and installs a tool far away about 20cm and attaches Grid because the gap distance between patient spine and detector is almost 20cm far during Whole Spine PA exam. In sequence, to acquire the image by penetrating x-ray after pointing exact center. Then, to hold detector and down the tube 4.3cm and 8.6cm and then to get total 3 images by entering x-ray. Next, to make a center to patient’s head portion and enter x-ray for the image and then to get images by the change of tube angle as a 10,20 and 30 angle to caudal direction. To compare each 7 image Cobb’s angle we acquired. Results: Most 7 images show almost same Cobb’s angle. Conclusion: The change of Center and Tube angle does not affect Cobb’s angle.

        척추측만정도에 따른 여자중학생의 Cobb"s Angle이 신체조성 및 체력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Cobb"s Angle on body composition and physical fitness according to scoliosis levels in middle school girls. This study measured a primary scoliosis-test by a scoliometer with 105 middle school girls and a secondary-test by Cobb"s Angle using an X-ray. The subjects were divided into three groups according to Cobb"s Angle levels: Cobb"s Angle 10°-19°group(n=35), Cobb"s Angle 20°-29°group(n=35), Cobb"s Angle 30°-39°group(n=35). The analysis of data revealed the following findings. The body composition showed significant according to Cobb"s Angle levels. Body fat and body mass index were significantly higher with increasing angle of scoliosis. Physical fitness showed significant according to Cobb"s Angle levels. Endurance was significantly higher with increasing angle of scoliosis. Muscular strength and flexibility were significantly lower with increasing angle of scoliosis. Cobb"s angle showed significant negative correlation with muscular strength and flexibility. Cobb"s Angle showed significant positive correlation with body mass index, body fat, and endurance. In conclusion, this study showed that scoliosis affects body composition and physical fitness. We find the body composition and physical fitness decreased of middle school girls with scoliosis according to Cobb"s Angle levels. High obesity and low fitness levels in middle school girls with scoliosis are early signs of scoliosis. As scoliosis progresses gradually, it can progress to various diseases. Therefore, we should strive to develop the exercise program for prevention of scoliosis disease would improve quality of life in youth.

        Prevalence and Insight of Scoliosis among Korean Male Adolescents by Chest Radiographs

        Objective: We applied chest radiographs to scoliosis screening for conscription. Prevalence, types of scoliosis, and insight of examinees with scoliosis were investigated. Methods: In this study, chest radiographs of 2417 males, who had been given an examination for conscription at the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration from April 2009 to May 2009, were analyzed. The prevalence of scoliosis more than a 10 degrees Cobb angle was calculated. The insight of scoliosis was investigated in every examinee and thoracolumbar radiographs were checked in those examinees with more than a 20 degree Cobb angle. Results: Among 1904 males, 477 (19.7%) exhibited scoliosis involving more than a 5 degrees Cobb angle were and 131(5.4%) exhibitedmore than a 10 degree Cobb angle. In those 131 cases, 18 (13.7%) had a known history of problems with scoliosis. Among the group measuring less than a 10 degree Cobb angle, 1.7% of them misunderstood scoliosis. Insight of scoliosis increased according to the severity of spinal curvature; however, nearly half of the cases with a 20 degree or greater Cobb angle had no insight with respect to their scoliosis.         자연과학분야 : 10주간의 필라테스 운동이 여대생의 Cobb`s angle, 균형력, 비만 지표에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 10주간의 필라테스 운동 프로그램이 경증의 척추 측만증 여대생들의 Cobb’s angle과 균형력 및 비만 지표에 미치는 영향과 이러한 변인들 간의 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지를 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상자는 경증 의 척추 측만증이 있는 여대생 16명을 대상으로 하였으며, 통제 집단(n=8)과 운동 집단(n=8) 구분하여 운동 집단은 10 주간의 필라테스 운동 프로그램을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 10주간의 필라테스 운동 프로그램은 척추 측만증(cobb’s angle)과 균형력(눈감고 외발서기, 좌전굴) 및 비만 지표(BMI, 체지방율, TG, TC)를 통계적으로 유의하게(p<.05) 개선시 키는 긍정적인 효과가 있으며, 척추 측만증(cobb’s angle)은 균형력(눈감고 외발서기, 좌전굴) 그리고 비만 지표(체지방 률, TC)와 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. This study investigated the effect of 10 weeks plates training on cobb’s angle, balance control ability, obese indices in college women. This study included that no exercise or exercise treatment for 10 weeks had some effect on the cobb’s angle, balance control ability, obese indices of 16 people who were university female students with mild scoliosis(8 of control group, 8 of pilates group). The result was as follows, the cobb’s angle, balance control ability and obese indices(BMI, body fat(%), TG, TC) between control group and exercise group in post-test, were significantly different in measures(p<0.05). In summary, these finding revealed that pilates exercise had positive effects on cobb’s angle, balance control ability, obese indices in college women with mild scoliosis. and cobb’s angle was positive correlated balance control ability and obese indices(body fat(%), TC).

        12주간의 자세교정 운동 프로그램이 특발성 척추측만증 장애 청소년들의 Cobb`s angle에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 경기도 Y군에 거주하고 있는 cobb`s angle이 10°이상인 특발성 척추 측만증 청소년 37명(training group: 24명, control group: 13명)을 대상으로 하여 12주간 주 3회 실시한 자세교정 운동프로그램 전, 후로 cobb`s angle 변화를 조사한 결과 운동프로그램 후 training group에서 흉추각(thoracic spine angle)과 요추각(lumbar spine angle)에 대해 유의(p<.01)하게 측만각이 감소한다는 결론을 얻었다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 청소년기에 있는 경증 척추 측만증 환자에 대한 비수술적 요법으로 측만증에 알맞은 적절한 운동프로그램 진행은 척추 cobb`s angle 개선에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 관점에서 성장기 청소년들에게 척추 측만증에 대한 적절한 교육과 척추 측만증의 예방 및 개선에 필요한 과학적이고 실질적인 운동프로그램을 개발하여, 학교에서 보내는 시간이 많은 학생들에게 특별활동 시간이나, 방과 후 시간을 이용하여 보급하는 것이 필요하다고 보여 진다. This study attempted to investigate the change of Cobb`s angle of adolescents before-and-after a 12 weeks` 3 times per week exercise program. 37 adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis and over 10° of cobb`s angle, residing in Y Gun, Gyeonggi Province, were selected as the subjects for this study and divided into two different groups, such as the training group of 24 adolescents and the control group of 13 adolescents. The results of this study can be summarized as after the exercise program, the cobb`s angle was significantly reduced in comparison with the thoracic spine angle and the lumber spine angle. On the results above, it was found that as a non-surgery therapy for patients with minor idiopathic scoliosis in adolescence, carrying out an exercise program fit for their scoliosis is effective in improving the cobb`s angle. In this respect, it seems required to develop scientific and practical exercise programs needed to prevent and improve idiopathic scoliosis as well as to educate adolescents in the growing phase about idiopathic scoliosis and distribute the program to students during the special activity time or extracurricular activity time since they spend most of their time at school.

        8주간의 슈로스운동(3차원적 융합운동)이 특발성 척추 측만증 환자의 폐기능과 Cobb's angle, Scoliometer angle, 척추세움근의 근활성도에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 schroth 운동(3차원적 융합운동)이 폐기능과 Cobb's angle, scoliometer angle과 척추세움근 의 근활성도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. Cobb's angle 10°이상의 특발성 척추측만증을 가지고 있 는 학생 40명을 대상으로 각각 20명의 슈로스운동군과 전통적인 치료군으로 나누어 총 8주간 주 3회, 회당 60분의 운동을 실시하였다. 8주간의 Schroth 운동을 적용한 그룹에서는 Cobb's angle과 갈비뼈 돌출부, 폐활량, 체간의 확장, 오른쪽 흉추부위의 활성도에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 8주간의 전통적인 측만증 운동을 실시한 그룹에서는 체간 의 확장성에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 3차원적 접근법인 슈로스운동이 특발성 척추측만증 환자의 흉추측만각도의 감소와 폐기능의 향상을 목적으로 한 중재기법으로 기존의 운동방법보다 효과적이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 차후의 연구에서는 척추측만증이 장기간의 관리와 치료가 필요한 질환임을 이해하고 이에 따라 체계적인 자세관리와 3차원적 융합운동 프로그램의 적용이 필요하다고 사료된다. In the present study, we aimed to examine the effects of Schroth exercise(three-dimensional convergence exercise) on pulmonary function(vital capacity, and chest expansion), Cobb's angle, scoliometer angle, and erector spinae muscle activity. We examined 40 students with idiopathic scoliosis(Cobb's angle 10°). They were divided into the Schroth and conventional exercise groups, with 20 people in each group. Statistical analysis was performed by using SPSS 18.0 with a paired t-test(pre-post difference) and an independent t-test(between-group differnence). the result of were as follows; 1) After 8 weeks of Schroth exercise, significant improvements were observed in Cobb's angle, rib hump, vital capacity, chest expansion, and right thoracic longissimus muscle activity. 2) After 8 weeks of conventional exercise, a significant improvement was observed only in chest expansion. These findings indicate that the Schroth exercise program improved the Cobb's angle, rib hump, pulmonary function, and sEMG results. Therefore, this study demonstrates the usefulness of the Schroth exercise program for idiopathic scoliosis.

        The Exception Case about the Diagnose Forward Head Posture using the CranioVertebra Angle, CranioRotation Angle and Cobb angle: a Case Report

        PURPOSE: The purpose of present study was to introduces an exceptional case in measurement methods (CVA, CRA and Cobb angle) to identify the FHP with verified reliability and validity. Subjects: Three males aged 30 years were recruited: A Normal, B and C who have FHP. METHODS: All the subjects were measured CVA, CRA and Cobb angle with the Photogrammetry and Radiography. RESULTS: The results revealed that it is not enough for measurement methods to identify the FHP using CVA, CRA and Cobb angle. On Photogrammetry values; CVA had 65°, CRA was 148° of Normal subject A and CVA had 61°, CRA was 149° of FHP subject B and CVA had 51°, CRA was 149° of FHP subject C. On Radiography values; CVA had 73°, CRA was 148° and Cobb was 50° of Normal subject A and CVA had 70°, CRA was 150° and Cobb was 53° of FHP subject B and CVA had 61°, CRA was 153° and Cobb was 31° of FHP subject C. CONCLUSION: The reliable CVA, CRA and Cobb angle use methods from the previous studies might not be suitable for the diagnose the FHP. We think that it is necessary to have more detailed evaluation methods and the radiography is also needed for clear evaluations because of some possible exceptions.

        복합교정운동 프로그램이 척추 측만증 여중생의 Cobb's Angle과 체형변화에 미치는 효과

        [INTRODUCTION] This study attempted to investigate the effect of 12 weeks' Complex-excercise program which are not surgical procedures on adolescent scoliosis. The total of 34 middle School girls students subjects, with scoliosis and over 10° of cobb's angle, residing in Gwang-ju H hospital scoliosis center. [METHOD] Subjects were tested twice times; before and after the complex-excercise program. The complex-excercise program was consisted of 3 times per week, 60 minutes in each session and lasted 12 weeks. Significance level was established at ɑ=.05. [RESULT] After the 12 weeks' spine-excercise program, the cobb's angle and the change of Moire Topography was significance decreased(p=.000). In the change of Moire Topography, the Moire-angle and the number of contour lines have been a meaningful difference among all groups except SMC(Right)(p=.000). [CONCLUSION] On the results above, it was found that the 12 weeks' complex-excercise program including the stretching, muscle strength exercise has shown effect on cobb's angle and Moire Topography, and it has helped the scoliosis students to improve Flexibility, muscle strength around the spine and body balance. [서론] 본 연구는 Cobb`s Angle이 10°이상으로 척추 측만증 진단을 받은 여자 중학생 34명을 대상으로 신체적, 생리적 특성에 맞는 복합교정운동 프로그램을 적용함으로써 척추 측만증의 변화를 알아보고자 단일 실험군 대상 전·후 비교연구를 시행하였다. [방법] 복합교정운동 프로그램은 G시에 소재한 한 병원의 척추 측만증 센터에서 1회당 60분씩, 주 3회, 총 12주간 실시하였으며, 프로그램 실시 전·후에 Cobb's angle과 Moire Topography를 측정하였다. [결과] 복합 교정운동 프로그램 적용 전·후 Cobb's angle은 운동 프로그램 전에 비해 실시 후에 통계적으로 매우 유의하게 감소하여 12주간 교정운동프로그램이 통계적으로 유의한 효과가 있었다(p<.000). 또한 복합 교정운동 프로그램 적용 전·후 Moire Topography에 나타나는 각도 및 부위별 등고선 개수의 변화는 SMC 우측을 제외하고는 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 감소하여 12주간 교정운동프로그램이 통계적으로 유의한 효과가 있었다(p<.000). [결론] 본 연구에서 실시한 12주간의 복합교정운동 프로그램이 청소년의 자세를 긍정적으로 변화시켜 척추 측만증을 호소하는 청소년의 신체 유연성과 근력을 증진시키고, 자세관리 행위를 증진시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

        척추측만정도에 따른 Cobb"s Angle이 경추자세에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine relationship between cobb"s angle and cervical posture in scoliosis middle school girls. This study measured a primary scoliosis-test by a scoliometer with 90 middle school girls and a secondary-test by cobb"s angle using an X-ray. The subjects were divided into three groups according to cobb"s angle levels: Cobb"s Angle 10°-19°group, Cobb"s Angle 20°-29°group, Cobb"s Angle 30°-39°group. The analysis of data revealed the following findings. The cervical posture showed significant according to cobb"s angle levels. Cervical posture were significantly higher with increasing angle of scoliosis. Cobb"s angle showed significant positive correlation with cervical posture. In conclusion, this study showed that scoliosis affects cervical posture. We find the cervical posture decreased of middle school girls with scoliosis. There are needs for prospective study about the possible development of scoliosis for prevention of decreased cervical posture. Therefore, we should strive to develop the exercise program for prevention of musculoskeletal disease would improve quality of life in youth.

        특발성 척추측만증 여자중학생의 Cobb`s Angle과 건강관련체력의 연관성

        The purpose of this study was to examine relationship between Cobb’s angle and health related physical fitness in idiopathic scoliosis middle school girls. This study measured a primary scoliosis-test by a scoliometer with 200 middle school girls and a secondary-test by Cobb``s angle using an X-ray. The subjects were divided into two groups: scoliosis(n=100) and normal(n=100). Scoliosis group were divided into five groups according to Cobb’s angle levels: 1group(Cobb’s Angle 10o-14o), 2group(15o-19o), 3group(20o-24o), 4group(25o-29o), 5group(30o-34o). The analysis of data revealed the following findings. The health related physical fitness showed significant difference between scoliosis group and normal group. Scoliosis group had significantly lower endurance, muscular strength, flexibility in comparison to normal group. And scoliosis group had significantly higher body fat, BMI in comparison to normal group. The health related physical fitness showed significant according to Cobb’s angle levels. Muscular strength and flexibility were significantly lower with increasing angle of scoliosis. And body mass index is significantly higher with increasing angle of scoliosis. Cobb’s angle showed significant negative correlation with muscular strength and flexibility and Cobb’s angle showed significant positive correlation with endurance, body fat, BMI. In conclusion, this study showed that scoliosis affects health related physical fitness. We find the body composition and physical fitness decreased of middle school girls with scoliosis. There are needs for prospective study about the possible development of idiopathic scoliosis for prevention of decreased physical fitness and obesity. Therefore, we should strive to develop the exercise program for prevention of idiopathic scoliosis would improve quality of life in youth.
