        20세기 이백(李白) 시(詩) 번역 논쟁을 통해 본 이병기(李秉岐) 『이태백시선(李太白詩選)』 번역 특징 고찰

        Through the argument of 聞一多 and Shigeyoshi Obata over the translation of Li Po poems in the early 20th century, this paper tries to point out the problems that we will think about today’s translation of Chinese poetry. For this purpose, we would like to analyze the case of “The Works of Li Po” translated by Lee Byong-gi, a major achievement of the Korean translated poetry in the 20th century. Leaning on the reviews of the past critics, 聞一多 screened Li Po poem’s “Good” and “Bad” while choose Poetry. But When recalling that the original reader is clearly different from the translated poetry’s reader, the translator should take the reader into consideration. In the case of “The Works of Li Po” translated by Lee Byong-gi, it reflects the historical situation of Japanese colonial era, so 閑適 type poems longing for the hermit world beyond reality were dominant. Also, as it is a Korean translation, the poems related to Korean or Korean history were specially selected. Through the analysis of “The Works of Li Po” translation cases, we could see that following vocabulary, word order, and vocabulary combination that fit the context of translated poem was more suitable for having poetic taste than being bound to the original vocabulary, word order, or vocabulary combination. And, it was desirable to translate a proper noun by omitting or solving it as necessary rather than relying on footnotes.

        가람 이병기의 신재효 연구와 신재효 위상의 확립

        This thesis pays attention to Garam Lee Byong-Gi(李秉岐, 1891~ 1968)'s interest about Pansori adaptor Shin Jae-Hyo and investigates substance of Garam's study about Shin Jae-Hyo. Most of early studies about Korean literature mentioned Shin Jae-Hyo fragmentarily, but Garam collected and arranged Shin Jae-Hyo's Pansori lyrics for a long time with great interest about Shin Jae-Hyo. Garam's investigation about Shin Jae-Hyo's life and process of publishing 『ShinOwijangbonjip』 are verified minutely by records of 『Garam's Diary』 from early 1930's to late 1950's. After this, Garam wrote books about Korean literature for example 『Gukmunhakchunsa』, 『Gukmunhakgaelon』 based on research materials he had collected and annotated < Garujigitaryeong > which is one of the Shin Jae- Hyo's Pansori lyrics, and published it. Thereby Garam gave worth to Shin Jae-Hyo's existence and his Pansori lyrics. Garam's interest in Shin Jae-Hyo established Shin Jae-Hyo's status in early study about Pansori, and had an important effect on later studies of Pansori.

        동향 : 가람(嘉藍) 이병기(李秉岐) 저작물에 관한 기초 연구

        Garam(嘉藍) Lee Byong-gi(李秉岐, 1891∼1968) is not only the Sijo(時調) poet, but also the initial classic scholar of the country activated in various fields. He was presented in essay, travelogue such as works of literature and a massive amount of criticism and unsystematic writings, books etc. through various media. To understand Garam properly, it is first required to identify the contours of all works. Despite studies on Garam accumulated for a long time, operations to identify and understand the total amount of Garam`s work did not yet been achieved. That is why the complete works and the list of all works for Garam are needed to work up.This paper was purposed to survey the total amount of works, and from it to overview and identify academic interests of Garam briefly in a large frame. Garam announced a lot of works over 40 years through various media since the 1920s until the 1960s. You can see the total of 774 works. The 12 books, the 8 notes on a text, the 8 translations and anthologies, 11 educational materials(textbooks) were published. Total of 319 articles were published in 26 kinds of newspapers, and 271 articles have been included totally in the 78 magazines or journals. When divided by genre, creative Sijo 308 works, essays and travelogue 80, various reviews related to literature 150, and 130 semi-essays & semi-criticisms with no apparent genres, translated poetry 13, 3 articles written in Japanese, and other works might be accounted for the rest. works published in newspapers and magazines correspond to 3/4 of total. We can judge contents of Garam`s Studies, while exploring the direction and methods of research for Garam through these basic materials. When we look at the works presented in chronological order, it can be checked that interests and capabilities of Garam enlarged and transformed little by little. That is why Garam can be re-estimated not only as a Sijo poet and Sijo specialist, but also as a essayist, educator, language scholar, a pioneer in the national language movement, classic researcher who leads the excavation and study of classics, researchers, writer of the history of Korean literature, and philologist. There is a need to reassess about Garam and his academic results, through searching for total works universally. It is key to understand the Garam`s works, considering comprehensive disciplines in a various way. Garam`s study looks likely to hold that classical literature and modern literature, bibliography, language education, Korean linguistics, etc. can be provided in a comprehensive interdisciplinary research.

        가람의 문학사 서술 시각과 방법 -『국문학전사』의 <고전문학사>와 <국한문학사>를 중심으로-

        In this paper, I attempt to reinterpret 『Gukmunhakchunsa』 that has been evaluated negatively on the basis of the modernist view. In this text, Gukmunhak is defined as national literature as well as the literature of a nation-state written in its own language. The national literature mentioned is not a trace of the past but a concept which has to be built in the future. This meaning is connected with the multiple interpretation of periodization in history, the respect for the differences that exist in the national literature, and the discovery of minority literature. In this regard, I think that 『Gukmunhakchunsa』 has a post-modern value.

        ≪주역(周易)≫ 혁괘(革卦)를 이용한 동양고전읽기 교육에 관한 연구 - 거점 국립대학의 한 교재를 중심으로 -

        이 논문은 인문학의 다양한 분과 연구를 ≪周易≫과 목록학을 방법론 삼아 통합하고자 하였다. 대학 인문 교양 교육용 교재에 실린 동양편 여섯 작품에 관한 목록학적 성과를 요약하였고, ≪周易≫ 주역의 “革”괘를 적용하여 혁신의 의미를 읽어내고자 시도하였다. ≪道德經≫에서는 ≪藝文志≫와 ≪經籍志≫의 저록을 비교 분석하였다. ≪史記≫에서는 130편을 선별하여 교육할 필요성을 논의하였다. ≪古文眞寶≫는 조선시대에 전범으로 읽혔던 ≪詳說古文眞寶大全≫ 판본의 문제들을 요약하였다. ≪마음≫에서는 소세키가 어떻게 동양 고전의 세례를 받아 근대문학을 개척하였는지 ≪蒙求≫의 영향을 제시하여 논증하였다. ≪아Q정전≫의 루쉰은 고전 작품의 창의적 읽기와 쓰기로서 혁신의 화신으로 재확인되었다. ≪가람시조집≫에서는 가람이 고전을 발굴하고 조직해 낸 서지학자로서의 측면에 초점을 맞추었다. This paper attempts to integrate the study of various branches of humanities with “I-ching(周易)” and “bibliography” as a methodology. In the six installments of the Asian Classics, which was published in the textbook for the reading of the liberal arts at the university, efforts were made to summarize the bibliographical achievements and to interpret the meaning of innovation by applying the “Hyuk(革)” code. The Do-deok-gyeong(道德經) was used to compare the lists of Ye-mun-ji(藝文志) and Gyeong-jeok-ji(經籍志). The sa-gi(史記) was selected to discuss the need for a screening list of 130 episodes. The Go-mun-jin-bo(古文眞寶) summarizes the issue of Sang-seol-go-mun-jin-bo-daejeon(詳說古文眞寶大全), a version that was read mainly during the Joseon Dynasty as a standard. In “The Mind,” the influence of Mong-gu(蒙求) was given as an example of how Soseki pioneered the path of modern literature under the baptism of classics. It was reaffirmed that Lu Xun of “The True Story of Ah Q” was the embodiment of innovation that demonstrated the innovative reading of classical literature in practice. In “GARAM collection of sijo poems” the focus was on Garam as a bibliographer who excavated and organized the classics.
