      • 강인성(HARDINESS)에 대한 개념분석

        In this paper, Hardiness that reflects one aspect of human personality was selected and analyzed to clarify the defining attributes, characteristics, and to propose theoretical definition of the concept. The Walker & Avant strategy was used together with the theoretical phase of Hybrid model by Schwartz-Barcott & Kim to complete the concept analysis through literature review. The results of this analysis demonstrated that hardiness personality functions as a health-mediating resource that buffers stress effects and motivates desirable health behaviors in the encounter with stressful life events. Based on the results, the theoretical definition and the defining attributes of hardiness personality was suggested. The concept can be defined as follows : Hardiness is an important psychological health-promoting resource that mediates an individual's responses in stressful situations. It is also personality characteristic that leads the individual to perceive stressful life events as an opportunity for one's growth and development, to participate in the situation actively with interest and meaning, and to exercise the one's beliefs of decision-making for problem solving. The defining attributes of Hardiness are as follows : 1) It is trait-oriented personality that functions stress-resistance factor. 2) It accepts changes positively. 3) It has self-transcendence that overcomes the difficult situation. 4) It demonstrates growth-oriented behaviors. This analysis demonatrated the importance of individual's involvement in stress management. Hardiness personality is inherent health-promoting factor in stress-laden human environment. Ultimately, this understanding will provide the essential "building block" for planning, implementing, and evaluating client's stress management program in various nursing situations.

      • 국산 백굴채 엑스의 급성 경구독성과 항암작용에 관한 연구

        The MeOH and H_2O extracts of Chelidoni Herba were examined for acute oral toxicity in mice, and MeOH extract of Chelidoni Herba was examined for anti inflammatroy activities in rats. The results of this study were summarized as follows: (1) The median lethal doses of the total MeOH and H_2O extracts of Chelidoni Herba were 12.5 and 10.1 g/㎏. respectively. (2) Major symptoms of this acute oral toxicity were eye extrusion. hair erection. trembling of head. paralysis. rapid running or moving before death, and depression of respiration. (3) The total MeOH extract of Chelidoni Herba was shown to have significant anti-inflammatory activity on toe paw edema induced by carrageenin.

      • 강인성을 주요 개념으로한 이론 합성의 일례 : focal concept: hardiness

        This study was conducted to provide the more sophisticated relationships between hardiness and hardiness-related concepts through theory synthesis, one of theory development strategy. Theory synthesis was based on empirical evidences from published research findings. Literatures for study were collected by Medline search. Criteria for sampling was purposeful sampling limited to research to investigate the effects of hardiness between stress-health relationship, and finally 29 research articles were analyzed. Theory synthesis processes were follows ; First, determine the factors related to hardiness concept through literature review, and classified these factors into determinants and results. Second, collect the representative listing of relational statements pertinent to hardiness. third, collapse highly similar concepts into more comprehensive summary concepts, and then construct the hypothesized conceptual model by diagrammatically mapping the relationship among summary concepts. Finally, extract the statements from conceptual model, and specified each concept of statement into empirical indicator to represent the possibility the empirical testing.

      • PCR을 이용한 Rat 기관지 세척액에서의 Pneumocystis carinii DNA의 검출 : 기초실험 A pilot study

        Background: Pneumocystis carinii (PC) is a opportunistic pathogen causing serious pneumonia (Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia : PCP) in immunosuppressed patients including AIDS. Laboratory diagnosis of PCP is dependent on microscopic demonstration of the PC by using cytochemical staining or by immunocytochemical staining with monoclonal antibodies. However, these staining methods are not highly sensitive. The development of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) has made it possible to detect very small numbers of pathogens in clinical specimens. To establish the usefulness of PCR for detection of PC DNA, We performed PCR as a pilot study. Methods: PCP was induced on Spraque-Dawley rats with prednisolone 5mg IM twice a week. Bronchial lavages, impression smears, and permanent sections were performed from the 3rd week to 7th week of cortisonized rats. PC DNA was extracted with bead beater / 10% CTAB method. Results: Impression smears showed PC cyst after the 4th week (100%, 28/28 rats), and permanent sections showed 27/28 rats. Control rats showed some PC cysts (2/7). PCR result was positive only one case among the 6th week rats (1/7), But positive 6 cases at the 7th week rats, (6/7). Among control rats. 2 cases were positive (2/7). ??This data is a pilot study for the PC DNA detection using a PCR. PCP were successfully cortisonized rats. If adequate bronchial washing technique will be used, PCR can be a sensitive for PC DNA detection.

      • 잡음환경에서 구름 볼 베이링의 결함검출을 위한 ALE의 적용

        It is very important to detect the bearing defects in rotating machinery since the critical failure of bearing cause a machinery shutdown. However it is difficult to detect the vibration signal resulting from the initial defects of bearing because of the high level of broadband noise. A signal processing technique, called the adaptive line enhancer(ALE) as one of adaptive filter, is studied in this work. This technique is to eliminate broadband noise without a prior knowledge of the noise and signal characteristics. Also we propose the optimal methods for selecting the three main ALE parameters such as correlation length, filter order and adaptation constant used in the adaptative process. Vibration signals for three abnormal bearings, including inner and outer raceways and ball defects, were acquired from Anderon(angular derivative of radius on)meter. The experimental results showed that the proposed technique can reliably detect the bearing defective signals masked by broadband noise.

      • 고로슬래그를 굵은골재로 사용한 콘크리트강도에 관한 연구

        Blast furnace, by-product of iron industry has widely used as reclamation materials for pavement or harbour construction. The studies which make blast furnace slag use as aggregates for concrete have being actived owing to natural aggregates insufficiency. In order to use air cooled blast furnace slag as a coarse aggregate for concrete which was fixed to 440kg, 400kg, 360kg, 320kg, 280kg, 240kg of cement content were performed. This study is aimed to ascertain the feasibility of utilizing the concreate with crushed slag aggregates and to find specific properties such as slump air content, compresive strength, tensile strength, bending strength. The results of this study are summarised as follows; 1. On the base of 320kg of unit cement weight the strength according to each dry day are similar in the condition of 45% of w/c whereas in the condition of 50% of w/c the strength of 7-days are similar, but the strength of 28-days are different. 2. In the relation of δ25 - c/w, the strength of slag concrete is greater than that of crushed storn concrete in condition of epual c/w except 400kg/㎥. 3. Slag of concrete as aggregate is destoryed with mortar. 4. The relation of δ28 and tensile strength is very good(γ = 0.8), the equation of regression analysis is δt= 0.63+0.00598 × 28. 5. The reation of bend strength and w/c is liner(γ = 0.72) the equation of regression analysis is δb=80-0.69w/c. 6. It must be care to abtain equal workability to natual aggregate concrete because the change of water absorption is greate. The water content of slag concrete is more than that of crushed storn concrete to obtain the same workability. It must be careful to use blast furnace slag as a coarse aggregate for concrete. And after investgating the quality of demended concrete carefully, real mixing work must be done.

      • 병원 일반간호사의 강인성과 직업적 스트레스 및 소진현상과의 관계

        This study was designed to investigate the relationships of hardiness, job stress, and burnout and to identify predictors of burnout in nurses. Empirical data were collected from 154 staff nurses at one university hospital in Gwangju city. Self-reported questionnaire was composed of the Personal Views Survey(PVS), job stress scale, Tedium scale, and 6 items asking nurse' s general characteristics. Data analysis was done with SAS package. In correlation analysis, hardiness, job stress, and health status have significant correlation with burnout. In stepwise multiple regression, 25.3% of the variance in burnout was accounted for by job stress(12.4%), health status(7.1%), and hardiness(5.7%). Among subscales of hardiness, commitment was the only significant predictor, so job stress, hardiness, and commitment explained 25.6% of variance in burnout.

        강인성에 대한 국내 간호논문 분석

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify patterns and trends of hardiness studies and to suggest the direction of further research. Method: Forty-seven hardiness studies were collected through internet searching and were reviewed by some criteria. Result: The results showed that hardiness studies have increased rapidly since 1990's. Eighteen studies were thesis' for degrees and others were for non-degree research studies. All studies employed the non-experimental design, particularly correlational studies. In the sampling method, all studies used non-probability sampling. Most commonly used instrument for hardiness measurement was Pollock(1986)'s HRHS. In the majority of research, hardiness was treated both as a composite measure and 3 subscales. Hardiness-related concepts were 27 and classified into 5 categories such as health behavior, stress, adaptation, support, and others. Most common statistical technique was Pearson's correlation coefficient, followed by regression, ANOVA, path analysis. Conclusion: To be utilized as practical nursing knowledge, hardiness studies should be done with more empirical analysis such as experimental research, and Meta-analysis is needed to compare the effect size and significance of composit and 3 subscales of hardiness construct.
