집중호우가 발생할 때 유역의 특성을 고려한 재해 대책이 필요하다. 침수구역을 객관적으 로 평가하기 위해 지형 특성과 지형 정보를 활용하였다. 적정한 침수구구역의 설정은 침수 방지 시설을 갖추기 위한 선행 작업이다. 이 작업을 위해 최근에 개발된 Arc-Gis를 이용하 여 침수구역을 설정하였다. 이 방법을 증암천 유역에 적용하여 위험구역을 설정하였다. There is require disaster prevention considering the characteristics of the watershed when heavy rains occur. We have to objectively evaluate the flooded area using topographic characteristics and geographic information. A set of appropriate flooded area should be preceded for facilities of flood prevention. We have established a flooded area using the latest version Arc-Gis. This software was applied to the classification for flood hazard area at Jeungam-stream basin.

<P>Pooled CRISPR screens based on lentiviral systems have been widely applied to identify the effect of gene knockout on cellular phenotype. Although many screens were successful, they also have the limitation that genes conferring mild phenotypes or those essential for growth can be overlooked, as every genetic perturbation is incorporated in the same population. Arrayed screens, on the other hand, incorporate a single genetic perturbation in each well and could overcome these limitations. However, arrayed screens based on siRNA-mediated knockdown were recently criticized for low reproducibility caused by incomplete inhibition of gene expression. To overcome these limitations, we developed a novel arrayed CRISPR screen based on a plasmid library expressing a single guide RNA (sgRNA) and disrupted 1514 genes, encoding kinases, proteins related to endocytosis, and Golgi-localized proteins, individually using 4542 sgRNAs (three sgRNAs per gene). This screen revealed host factors required for infection by coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3) from Picornaviridae, which includes human pathogens causing diverse diseases. Many host factors that had been overlooked in a conventional pooled screen were identified for CVB3 infection, including entry-related factors, translational initiation factors, and several replication factors with different functions, demonstrating the advantage of the arrayed screen. This screen was quite reliable and reproducible, as most genes identified in the primary screen were confirmed in secondary screens. Moreover, ACBD3, whose phenotype was not affected by siRNA-mediated knockdown, was reliably identified. We propose that arrayed CRISPR screens based on sgRNA plasmid libraries are powerful tools for arrayed genetic screening and applicable to larger-scale screens.</P>

We investigated the (ballistic) current-voltage (I-V ) characteristics in a 100-nm ..-gate AlGaAs/InGaAs Pseudomorphic high-electron-mobility transistor (pHEMT) as a function of temperature for temperatures ranging from 300 K to 10 K and analyzed the transport in terms of carrier backscattering. We observed that the drain current in the linear region dramatically increased below 60 K due to reduced phonon scattering. The critical temperature where the drain current started to rapidly increase shifted to a higher value as the drain voltage was increased. These results are in good agreement with the ballistic transport theory in which low temperatures and high electric fields along the channel lead to enhanced ballistic transport due to a reduction in the backscattering probability. We also carried out self-consistent Schrodinger-Poisson band profile calculations to understand the experimental data.

본 논문에서는 한국형발사체 2단에 대한 부분체 구조 시험치구의 기본설계 결과를 표현하고 있다. 단일하중 100톤, 최대 500톤 규모의 강도 및 강성시험을 수행할 수 있도록 설계되었고, 시험체 접근성과 Setup 편리성 극대를 위한 Handling Device가 설치되었다. 기본설계를 통해 개발된 기술은 하중의 일정분포를 유지하는 상/하부 하중부가장치 기술와 복합하중 및 중량보상장치, 시험장비 구성설계와 시험체 안전장치 기술이다. 본 기본설계 결과는 시험수행을 통해 유효성이 확인될 것을 기대한다.
Analysis of a vector-bias effect in the spread of malaria between two different incidence areas

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In 2005, Lacroix et al. demonstrated that infected humans are more attractive to mosquitoes, a phenomenon known as the vector-bias effect. The aim of this study was to determine how a vector-bias effect affects the changes in the dynamics of malaria transmission, and the changes in control strategies and cost-effectiveness for optimal control considering the regional characteristics or force of infections for different transmission rates. We used a vector-bias mathematical model and considered two different incidence areas: a high transmission area and a low transmission area. Our results showed that the dynamics in the two areas differed; as bias exists and the strategy for optimal control could be changed in the different areas. Thus, this work may give that considering the vector-bias effect in different areas facilitates prediction of the future dynamics and make decisions for establishing controls. We also mention the evolution of malaria parasites in this study.</P>
Exploring On-Chip Bus Architectures for Multitask Applications

In this paper we present a static performance estimation technique of on-chip bus architectures. The proposed technique requires the static scheduling of function blocks of a task to analyze bus conflicts caused by simultaneous accesses from processing elements to which function blocks are mapped. To apply it to multitask applications, the concurrent execution of the function blocks of different tasks also should be considered. Since tasks are scheduled independently, considering all cases of concurrency in each processing element is impractical. Therefore we make an average estimate on the effects of other tasks with respect to bus request rate and bus access time. The proposed technique was incorporated with our exploration framework for on-chip bus architectures. Its viability and efficiency are validated by a preliminary example.
Dual-port SDRAM Architecture for Low-power Communication of Internet-of-things Devices

In this paper, we propose a dual-port SDRAM architecture as an energy-efficient inter-processor communication solution tailored to Internet-of-Things (IoTs) devices. Since a single memory chip plays the role of the local memories and the shared memory for both processors, it gives a simpler solution than a typical architecture that uses an additional dual-port SRAM as shared memory. To minimize the non-negligible synchronization overhead, we also propose two optimization techniques by exploiting the communication patterns of a target application: lock-priority and static-copy. Experiments on a virtual prototyping system show promising results, in which we achieved about 25-50% performance gain as well as about 40% power saving from the proposed optimization techniques compared with the existing architecture.
