      • Lack of Association of Intron 3 16 bp Polymorphism of TP53 with Breast Cancer among Iranian-Azeri Patients

Pouladi, Nasser,Kouhsari, Shideh Montasser,Feizi, Mohammadali Hosseinpour,Dehghan, Roghayeh,Azarfam, Parvin,Farajzadeh, Davoud Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.6

Background: p53 gene is a well-known tumor suppressor gene that has several polymorphisms in both its exons and introns. It has been suggested that intron 3 16 bp duplication polymorphism may affect the gene function resulting in reduction or suppression of p53 anti tumor activity. In most case control studies a duplicated allele has been noticeably more frequent in cases rather than controls but there are also conflicting results. The aim of this study was to assess the association of intron 3 16 bp duplication polymorphism of p53 with breast cancer risk among Iranian-Azeri population. We also analyzed the clinicopathological information of patients as an epidemiological description of breast cancer in the north-west of Iran. Materials and Methods: This case-control study was performed on 221 breast cancer patients and 170 controls. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood samples and tumor tissues. p53 PIN3 genotype was determined using electrophoresis of PCR products on 8% non-denaturing polyacrylamide gels and silver staining. Results: In the control and case groups, respectively, 62.9% and 61.1% had no 16 bp insertion (A1A1 genotype), 7.1% and 7.7% had insertion in both p53 alleles (A2A2) and 30% and 31.2% were heterozygous (A1A2). There was no significant difference between genotype frequencies as well as allelic frequencies in two case and control groups. Conclusions: According to the result of the present study, the intron 3 16 bp duplication polymorphism of p53 could not be assessed as a marker of risk factor for predisposition to breast cancer in Azeri population. However, a high frequency of A2 allele (22.1%) in our population suggested that intron 3 16 bp duplication polymorphism may be a valuable marker for study in other cancers with well designed large groups.

      • Overlapping Region of p53/Wrap53 Transcripts: Mutational Analysis and Sequence Similarity with microRNA-4732-5p

Pouladi, Nasser,Kouhsari, Shideh Montasser,Feizi, Mohammadali Hosseinpour,Gavgani, Reyhaneh Ravanbakhsh,Azarfam, Parvin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.6

Background: Although the majority of investigations concerned with TP53 and its protein have focused on coding regions, recently a set of studies highlighted significant roles of regulatory elements located in p53 mRNA, especially 5'UTR. The wrap53${\alpha}$ transcript is one of those that acts as a natural antisense agent, forming RNA-RNA hybrids with p53 mRNA and protecting it from degradation. Materials and Methods: In this study, we focused on the mutation status of exon $1{\alpha}$ of the WRAP53 gene (according to exon 1 of p53) in 160 breast tumor tissue samples and conducted a bioinformatics search for probable miRNA binding site in the p53/wrap53 overlapping region. Mutations were detected, using single stranded conformation polymorphism (SSCP) and sequencing. We applied the miRBase database for prediction of miRNAs which target overlapping region of p53/wrap53 transcripts. Results: Our results showed all samples to have wild type alleles in exon 1 of TP53 gene. We could detect a novel and unreported intronic mutation (IVS1+56, G>C) outside overlapping regions of p53/wrap53 genes in breast cancer tissues and also predict the presence of a binding site for miR-4732-5p in the 5'UTR of Wrap53 mRNA. Conclusions: From our findings we propose designing further studies focused on overexpression of miRNA-4732-5p and introducing different mutations in the overlapping region of wrap53 and p53 genes in order to study their effects on p53 and its ${\Delta}N$ isoform (${\Delta}$40p53) expression. The results may provide new pieces in the p53 targeting puzzle for cancer therapy.

      • Design Neuro-Fuzzy On-line Tuning Controller for Sensitive Dental Actuator

        Ehsan pouladi,Farzin Piltan,Narges Gholami Mozafari,Somayeh Jowkar,Ali Roshanzamir,Nasri Sulaiman 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.12

In this research, Neuro-fuzzy fuzzy feedback linearization controller is recommended for sensitive three degrees of freedom dental actuator. To design stable high quality controller conventional feedback linearization controller is recommended. Conventional feedback linearization (FL) controller is a nonlinear, stable, and reliable controller. This controller is model-base and in uncertain situation, model-base is challenge. The nonlinear dynamic formulation problem in highly nonlinear system has been solved by fuzzy logic theorem. Fuzzy logic theory is used to estimate the system dynamics. This type of controller is free of mathematical dynamic parameters of plant. When system works in uncertainty, the nonlinearity term of system is not equal to equivalent term of FL controller. According to this technique, the number of rule base is reduced with respect to have PID like fuzzy logic controller. The simulation results show that the proposed controller works well in various situations. Based on result and discussion, proposed method can eliminate chattering in certain and uncertain condition. This controller reduces the level of energy due to the torque performance. This controller removed the fluctuation in presence of uncertainties.

      • The Fuzzy (PI+D)2 Sliding Mode Scheme to Motor Vibration Control

        Saman Rahbar,Farzin Piltan,Ehsan Pouladi,Hossein Davarpanah,Somayeh Jowkar 보안공학연구지원센터(IJUNESST) 2015 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.8 No.1

This paper proposes new fuzzy type sliding mode controller for multi-DOF joints to reduce/eliminate motor vibration. The fuzzy (PI+D)2 single-input single-output (SISO) fuzzy system is applied to modify each element of the control in a sliding mode controller. The proposed method is designed based on the Lyapunov method. Mathematical proof for the stability and the convergence of the system is presented. Various operation situations such as the set point control and the trajectory control are simulated. The simulation results demonstrate that the chattering and the steady state errors, which usually occur in the classical sliding mode control, are eliminated and satisfactory trajectory tracking is achieved.

      • Fuzzy Hype-Plane Variable Sliding Mode Control to Reduce Joint Vibrations

        Mahmoud Reza Safaei Nasrabad,Ehsan Pouladi,Ghasem Sahamijoo,Alireza Salehi,Farzin Piltan,Nasri b. Sulaiman 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.7 No.5

The sliding mode controller is used to speed up the error convergence when the error is greater than one. To reduce the error terminal sliding mode controller is recommended in this research. Fuzzy hype-plane variable sliding mode controller is adopted to guarantee the error convergence to zero in a finite time when the error is around the zero. The chattering in the conventional sliding model control systems is avoided with the employed continuous controller. To increase the system robustness in presence of uncertainty fuzzy logic controller is recommended. This technique is used to adjust the band of terminals. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme has strong robust against the uncertainties and disturbances, as well as leads to the convergence of the output to the desired value quickly and precisely than employing either sliding mode controller or terminal sliding mode controller alone.

      • Numerical Simulation for Operation of Flexible Thin-Film Transistors With Bending

        Asadirad, Mojtaba,Pouladi, Sara,Shervin, Shahab,Oh, Seung Kyu,Lee, Keon Hwa,Kim, Jeomoh,Lee, Sung-Nam,Gao, Ying,Dutta, Pavel,Selvamanickam, Venkat,Ryou, Jae-Hyun IEEE 2017 IEEE electron device letters Vol.38 No.2

<P>We theoretically study the change of the performance characteristics with various mechanical bending conditions for flexible thin-film transistors (TFTs) by two-dimensional device simulation. The characteristics of newly developed flexible TFTs with high crystalline quality and high carriermobility aremore sensitive to the degree of bending. We developed a model to estimate the change in the characteristics as a function of curvature radius of the channel with a focus on scattering of carriers in a bent TFT. Field-effectmobility decreases by bending, e.g., similar to 11% with a radius at R = 30 mm and a knee voltage increases, while a threshold voltage remains the same. This model can be extended to other flexible TFTs with bending.</P>

      • Research on Nonlinear Sensitive Medical Joint Automation

Somayeh Jowkar,Mohammad Taghavi,Ehsan pouladi,Meysam Esmaeili 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.7

The main objective in this research is comparative study between three types of control methodology: proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller, computed torque controller (CTC), and sliding mode controller (SMC) with application to active multi degrees of freedom actuators. PID controller is a linear model-free controller; to control of nonlinear system based on PID controller system linearization is the main challenge. Computed torque controller and sliding mode controller are model-base and nonlinear. In order to design computed torque controller, an accurate dynamic model of nonlinear system plays an important role. To modelling an accurate dynamic system, modelling of complex parameters is needed to form the structure of system’s dynamic model. It may be very difficult to include all the complexities in the system dynamic model. Computed torque controller is work very good in certain condition but in uncertainty, PID and CTC have some challenges. Conventional switching sliding mode controller is an apparent nominates to design a controller using the bounds of the uncertainties and external disturbance. In partly uncertainties, sliding mode controller is more robust than CTC and PID. In this paper these three types controller are test in MATLAB/SIMULINK.

      • The TP53 intron 6 G13964C Polymorphism and Risk of Thyroid and Breast Cancer Development in the Iranian Azeri Population

Dehghan, Roghayeh,Feizi, Mohammad Ali Hosseinpour,Pouladi, Nasser,Adampourezare, Mina,Farajzadeh, Davoud Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.7

Background: TP53 mutations are the most common genetic alterations in human cancers. There are also several polymorphisms in both exons and introns of TP53 that may influence its anti-tumor functions and increase the risk of cancer development. Associations of the TP53 intron 6 G13964C polymorphism with increased risk of development of several cancers have been investigated in numerous studies, but the results were controversial and conflicting. In this study, we aimed to investigate the probable association of this polymorphism with risk of both thyroid and breast cancers among the Iranian-Azeri population. Materials and Methods: We performed two separate case control studies on associations of the intron 6 polymorphism with two different kinds of cancer. In one case-control study, a total of 75 patients with thyroid carcinoma and 180 controls were analyzed and the other study included 170 patients with breast cancer and 135 healthy women. The intron 6 genotype was determined by RFLP-PCR and the SPSS 16 program was applied for data analysis. Results: For thyroid cancer, the frequencies of GG genotype were 96.0% in patients and 93.3% in controls. The GC genotype had a frequency of 4.0 % in patients and 6.7% in controls. In the study on breast cancer, the frequency of GG and GC genotypes in patients were 95.3% and 4.7%, respectively. In breast related control group, the frequency of GG genotype was 93.3 % and the frequency of GC genotype was 6.7%. None of the cases and controls had the CC genotype. Conclusions: There was no significant association between the TP53 intron 6 G13964C polymorphism and risk of development of both thyroid and breast cancer in Iranian-Azeri patients.

      • Flexible AlGaInN/GaN Heterostructures for High-Hole-Mobility Transistors

        Wang, Weijie,Shervin, Shahab,Oh, Seung Kyu,Chen, Jie,Huai, Yang,Pouladi, Sara,Kim, Hyunsoo,Lee, Sung-Nam,Ryou, Jae-Hyun IEEE 2017 IEEE electron device letters Vol.38 No.8

<P>We study the potential and feasibility of high hole mobility transistors (HHMTs) based on flexible AlGaInN/GaN heterostructures using numerical simulation. We develop a map for the sheet density of two-dimensional hole gas (2DHG) at different mole fractions of AlN, GaN, and InN of AlGaInN with mechanical bending conditions. External compressive strain via bending can induce relatively high density of 2DHG (e.g.,> 8x10(12)cm(-2)) while keeping InN fraction low (<0.3) so that 2DHG channel can be formed in a GaN layer. We show the electronic energy band diagrams, family curves of I - V characteristics, and transfer characteristicsof an In-0.25 Al0.75N/GaN heterostructure in different bending conditions. By bending up, 2DHG is formed to perform the device function as HHMTs. Without bending, 2-D electron gas is induced and the devices function as high electron mobility transistors. This unique property can be used in complementary integrated circuits for high-power and high-temperature applications.</P>

Prevalence of Intestinal Parasitic Infections and Associated Risk Factors Among in Children Ilam Town, West Iran

( Soghra Viesy ),( Amin Jaydari ),( Maryam Hataminejad ),( Marzieh Shadpirouz ),( Iman Pouladi ) 대한소아감염학회 2023 Pediatric Infection and Vaccine Vol.30 No.3

Purpose: Intestinal parasitic infections (IPIs) are a major health problem worldwide, especially in developing countries. According to the literature, children are more likely to get infected due to more frequent exposure to sources of infection. Methods: In this study, we collected 500 fecal samples from children under 15 years of age who referred to labs in Ilam city. All samples were microscopically examined using formalin-ether concentration and Trichrome staining techniques. The results were analyzed using SPSS 20.0. Results: Among 500 investigated samples, 4 types of parasites were detected. Giardia lamblia, Entameba coli, and Blastocystis hominis were identified as intestinal protozoa, and pinworm as intestinal worm. In this study, 23 cases (4.6%) had parasitic infections. 13 patients (2.6%) were infected with Giardia parasite, 4 patients (0.8%) with E. coli, 3 patients (0.6%) with B. hominis and 3 patients (0.6%) had pinworms. Conclusions: The findings of this study showed that the prevalence of IPIs among children aged under 15 years in Ilam is relatively down, which can be attributed of sufficient information of parents and children about the modes of parasite transmission and the important role of carriers in the pathogen cycle
