        Modification of Optical and Mechanical Surface Properties of Sputter-Deposited Aluminum Thin Films through Ion Implantation

        Aluminum (Al) thin films are used widely as an electronic material in a variety of applications because of their high conductivity, optical reflectance and low cost. In the present study, helium (He) and nitrogen (N2) ions were implanted in sputter-deposited Al thin films with different doses and energies, and the changes in the film properties, such as the surface roughness, optical reflectance, hardness and Young's modulus, were investigated. The results showed that the implantation of both ions smooth the surface of Al thin films by decreasing the hillock density, resulting in low global surface roughness. In particular, in the case of He ion implantation, the moderated degradation of optical reflectance was observed compared to the film implanted with nitrogen ion. On the other hand, excessive ion implantation increased the local (short-range) surface roughness, which deteriorated the optical reflectance of the Al films. The continuous stiffness measurement technique in nano-indentation showed that ion implantation increased the hardness near the surface. He ion implantation hardened the surface of the Al thin film, and almost 2 times higher surface hardness was achieved with an ion dose of $10^{18}ions/cm^2$ at 40 KeV.

        The object of this study is to inquiry on application potentiality of multisemester in junior college. Multisemester has recently become a topic of great interest. The main reason for calling attention is due to present junior college existence. Every college is trying to raise competitiveness to survive in endless competing circumstance. Multisemester has many strength and weakness. Multisemester is classified trimester and quarter. The strength of trimester and quarter is to undergo intensive education. But the weakness of multisemester is to burden the college with educational finance, educational matters and educational administration. To inquiry on application potentiality, fieldwork was conducted by using interviews and parti챠pant observation. The results of this study are as follows : 1. The main problems revealed in the process of this study is that application of multisemester is too early to applicate in junior college. The improvement strategies for the application of multisemester are providing more opportunities of understanding multisemester. 2. In order to applicate multisemester, analysis of the situation of junior college should be integrated at the same time. 3. To raise the educational effect of the multimester, there is a great need of a reform measure of educational finance, educational matters and educational administration. 4. In this context, present semester should be redesigned to allow the reform of junior college by improving the seasonal semester.

        Renal angiomyolipoma is an uncommon benign tumor of the kidney that consists of smooth muscle, blood vessels and mature adipose tissues. The most common benign renal tumor associated with spontaneous non-traumatic perirenal hemorrhage is angiomyolipoma, because of high vascularity. The ultrasonographic and computed tomographic images are sufficiently characteristic to permit accurate preoperative diagnosis. We report 2 cases of renal angiomyolipoma with spontaneous perirenal hemorrhage which were managed with nephrectomy.

        The purposes of this study ard to analyzed the process of change on local educational autonomy system and to find out suggestions to restructure the local educational autonomy system. To accomplish this purpose, this study analyzed the process of change and the current status of local in chonnam and the problems from comprehensive standpoints. Major findings of this study are as follows : 1. The sacle of instituting local educational autonomy entities should be chang. For the purpose of decentralization, the local educational system should be expanded to the lower-level administrative units, i.e., to the smaller cities, the counties, and the municipal wards. 2. The method of electing member of board of education is irrational and local angency is handling more business delegated from of the state rather than business related to local autonomy. 3. For the business of local autonomy they receive control and guidance from central agencies and degree of dependency of local educational finance upon the central agency is very high. In oredr to keep the local educational autonomy, the power of educational commission of local must powr up about the decision of educational financing making and distribution.

      • 도시하천의 환경 친화적 개선방안에 관한 조사연구

        The three main steams flowing through Taejon have some serious problems to be solved or improved. They are : First, the uniform cross section of the rivers should be changed. Second, the extension of the riverside road should be reconsidered. Third. the neighborhood parks on the flood plain should be modified. Fourth, the flood plain parking place must not be constructed. Fifth, the ecosystem will be destroyed by the structure constructed along the rivers. In this study, we suggest that the investment and research on the development of the new technology for the setting the rivers in natural condition should be needed now and the continuous investigation and long-term plan to preserve the ecosystem of the rivers should be required. The environmental conditions of Taejon-stream, Yudung-stream and Kap-stream are indicators of the standard of living of the citizens in Taejon. Now is the time to reconsider the careless construction around the rivers and to prepare the long-term plan for the protection of the ecosystem and natural environment.

      • 대청호 대전취수탑 수역에 있어서의 수질특성에 관한 연구

        In order to survey the cause of the eutrophication in Taechong reservoir, the water body around Taejon intake tower were divided into 5 groups, and the samples were taken to analyse the quality of water, deposits and algae. The relationship between the water quality and the meteorological factors in the study area was investigated and the contamination mechanism in the reservoir was explained. Finally, the relation between T-N concentration and inflow volume was established.

        The regional unbalance of water quantity and the deterioration of water quality become pending problems that should be solved. Although monthly streamflow data have been used in most water resources plannings to cope with the problems, for more effective management of confined water resources the exact calculation of daily droughtflow is essential. In this study, the droughtflows at Backokpo watershed in Han River were measured from May 1993 to May 1994 and the relations between drogughtflow and the hydrogeological character of the watershed were figured out.

        This study is intended to provide the effective treatment methods of sediments of the polluted and water resources in Geum River reservoir. its ultimate purpose is the water management and protection of the water quality and water resources. Geum River reservior and main river were selected as investing objects for this purpose. estimated were the amount of organization ratio and heavy metals in the sediment of dam reservior and main river. In case of Geum River reservior, delta of three areas i.e. A area (A), B area (B), C area (C) were selected to estimate the amount of sediment.(Fig 3.2, Photograph 4.1) Sieve analyer of the sample sediment taken from the above sites shows that the sediment is composed of 87∼89% of sand, 7∼9% of silt and 4% of clay. The trace amount of heavy metals found of in the sediment of Geum River reservoir (delta of three areas) was considered lot of heavy metals such as Zn, Pb, and Cr are exists, due to hydraulics and geological characteristics the dam area. In case of treatment methods of sediment, dredging, chemical treatment and hydrological operation are discussed for the treatment of sediment in Geum River reservoir.

        Every administrative activity must concentrate on support and promotion, because education is accomplished in the teaching-learning aspect. The goal of supervision is to improve learning and teaching methods. All teachers have the most important roles to teach the students and most teachers focused on instructional supervision rather than traditional supervision. Therefore the purpose of this study is to find out the developmental alternatives for activation of instructional supervision. The implications of this study are as follows: 1. It is necessary to establish the institution for the supervisory worker in order to be professional standpoint and as the quality of educational activities depends on qualifications and abilities of the supervisor, qualification requirement must be raised. 2. It is necessary to set up professional organization of the supervision such as bureau of supervision. 3. It is necessary to build up the bureau of supervisory planning, evaluation, and control. 4. It is necessary to build up the function of supervision for the school pricipal and to strengthen the school-centered supervisory system by structurizing supervisory conference. 5. It is necessary to recognize the concept of supervision, supervision ought to be creative and democratic counselling rather than indication, dirdction and confirmation. 6. Various workshops and committees must be organized to give advice on classroom teaching-learning.
