      • JPEG2000 영상압축을 위한 EBCOT 설계

        고품질의 영상 압축기인 JPEG2000의 기본 압축 코덱인 EBCOT(Embedded Block Coding with Optimized Truncation)를 설계하였다. 영상 압축기에서 Context 추출 구현을 위하여 코드블록(Code block)으로 분할하고, 비트 플랜(Bit-Plane)코딩을 했으며, Three Pass Check블록을 두어 3번의 스캔과정을 한번으로 줄여 3배 정도 빠르게 Context를 추출할 수 있었으며, 패스 그룹별로 ZC, RLC, MR, SC를 하였다. 추출된 Context들을 일괄적으로 산술부호화기에 전달하기 위해 메모리 블록 대신 레지스터를 사용하여 회로를 간단하게 하였다. 산술부호화는 덧셈 연산과 쉬프트 연산만을 사용하는 MQ-coder를 사용하였으며, Context들의 누적 확률을 추정하여 테이블을 작성하였고, 압축데이터를 산출하였다. 영상 압축을 위한 엔트로피 코더의 하드웨어 구현은 VHDL를 이용하여 설계를 하고, Synopsys사의 논리 회로 합성 도구를 사용하여 합성을 하였으며, Altera사의 FLEX 10k250 Device를 이용하여 FPGA로 구현하였다. This paper intruduces design of EBCOT(Embedded Block Coding with Optimized Truncation) that is basic compressing codec of JPEG2000, high quality image compressor. Context-extraction implementation is to separate code-block to some bit-plane, and as processing four coding matching three pass with relation of neighbor samples and previous bit-plane, Context and Decision can be extracted. By placing Three Check Block, scaning progress is reduced to 1, so it is possible to extract Context faster than three times. At every each pass ZC, RLC, MR, SC was used. Circuit could be simplified by using register instead of memory block to tranfer contexts to arithmetic coder. In Arithmetic coding, Mq-coder is used to perform add and shift operation, probability estimation table can be built and compressed-data can be turned out. The entropy coder described in VHDL and synthesized by Synopsis tool and they are implemented in FPGA of Altera FLEX 10k250 type.

      • 오스템퍼 처리한 구상흑연주철의 드릴가공 특성과 공구수명에 관한 연구

        Drilling tests were carried out austempered ductile cast iron(ADI) to clarify the factors influencing the drilling chracteristics of ADI material. The machinability of material was evaluated using high speed steel drill and cobalt contained drill of 6mm diameter. The spherodal graphite cast iron materials were austenized at 900℃ for in hour and then wear was kept at 375℃ for 2 hours. Austempered ductile cast iron contains a great deal of retained austenite which contributes to an improvement of impact strength. In this paper, machinability of ADI was investigated by drilling experimentation. The results obtained are as follows: a) Flank wear increases logarithmically with the increases of cutting time. b) Relation of flank wear and cutting force can be applied to FZ = 925VB + 820 for the cutting suggested condition. c) Drilling hole number of about 2 times can be reduced more step feed than ordinary feed due to the high hardness of ADI material and hardness increasing ascribed to the martensite of retained austenite.

      • 영상처리에 의한 블랭크 가공품의 치수측정을 위한 형상요소 추출법에 관한 연구

        In the design process of a press product, the reverse engineering is a necessary process. Therefore, the method of measurement must be constructed for a blank shape. In order to measure a blank shape, the vision system with non-distortion ren was constructed, and the image processing, the shape recognition and the element extraction module was made with the Visual C++ language. For the shape recognition, the distance-angle function with a shape characteristics ware used and, for the shape of element extraction, the slop function with a element characteristics was used. In this study, the shape of the rectangular gage block and circular product with a simple shape was recognized and elements in the polygon were extracted by using this system.

        유압구동 습동재의 마찰면 형상특징 해석에 관한 연구

        It is known that fractal theory has recently been used as a useful in the characterization of surface texture and the understanding of tribological phenomena such as friction, wear and lubrication. The fractal-based method for describing the rubbed surface texture has roused great interest. In this paper, the fractal descriptors was applied to rubbed surface of hydraulic driving material with image processing system in order to describe morphology of the rubbed surface. The results showed that the fractal dimension can be determined by sum of intensity difference of surface pixel. The two step size to get fractal dimension is similar to surface roughness Ra. Fractal dimensions of the rubbed surfaces increase with an increase of applied load. Morphology of the rubbed surface driving in lubricant can be effectively obtained by fractal dimensions.

      • 자궁내막암의 방사선치료 성적

        Purpose : To evaluate survival rate, treatment failure pattern and complication of endometrial carcinoma patients treated with radiation therapy Materials and Methods : From November 1989 through March 1995, twenty two patients with endometrial carcinoma were treated with radiation therapy at Chungnam National University Hospital. According to the 1988 FIGO staging system, four patients had stage I A disease, 6 stage I B, 4 stage I C, 1 stage Ⅱ A, 6 stage Ⅲ A, and 1 stage Ⅲ B. Radiation therapy was given preoperatively to 2 patients, postoperatively to 19 patients, and curatively to one patient considered to be inoperable due to valvular heart disease. Twelve patients were treated with external radiation therapy alone by conventional technique (180-200 cGy/fraction), and 6 patients with external radiotherapy plus high dose rate intracavitary radiotherapy (HDR ICR), and 4 patients with HDR ICR alone. Results : All patients were followed up for 9 to 71 months (median 21 months). The overall 5 year survival rate of all patients was 68.9%. The 5 year survival rates of stage I , Ⅱ , and Ⅲ were 87.5%, 100%, and 41.6%, respectively. Relapse rate was 9.1% (2/22), and treatment failure occurred as a distant metastasis only without local failure. Early mild complication rate was 31.8% (7/22), and late complication rate 9.1% (2/22), including one radiation colitis and one vulvar ulcer. Conclusion : Adjuvant pelvic radiation thereapy is an effective local treatment modality to prevent local relapse in patients with endometrial carcinoma not accompanying severe late complications.

        In order to develop the curriculum of the fishery department in the fisheries Jr. college, We have collected and analyzed the domistic and foreign data adquated to the fishey department under the international trend, also we gathered the opinion from the inquiring paper investigation and consultation to the industrial field, concerned college and graduate during the 6 month from September 1982. The fishery department curriculum in fisheries Jr. college will be industrialized with the concerned technics and knowledge in relation to speciality of maritime affairs. Accordingly, we have developed the adquate curriculum which is practical and can be cultivated the technician to adopt in the industrial society.

        완전 탈구된 치아의 재식에 대한 증례보고

        The treatment of complete avulsed teeth due to traumatic injuries is replantation procedure. The major complication of replantation are pulp necrosis, ankylosis, and root resorption. It is important to maintain the vitality of periodontal ligament to minimize the complications. The purpose of this case report is to consider the facts that affect the success rate and the prognosis of complete avulsed teeth replantation. All of these cases had different conditions and transport media. The followng results were observed : 1. The successive treatment of complete avulsed teeth requires the maintainance of vitality of periodontal ligament. 2. The complication of replantation are inflammatory root resorption and ankylosis and in such case, proper endodontic treatment using calcium hydroxide medications and periodic observations are needed. 3. In case of delayed replantation, the use of fluoride and root planning procedure can help to achieve better result. 4. It is more esthetic and functional to maintain the avulsed tooth in mouth.

      • 석회 안정화 슬러지와 플라이 애쉬 혼합재의 매립지 복토재로의 이용타당성세 대한 연구

        Feasibility of using the mixture of a lime-stabilized municipal wastewater sludge and the fly ash as a landfii cover matetial was studied. the mixnures were prepared by varying mixing ratios. and their geotechnical propertes were experimentally determined. The appropriate mixing ratio of lime : sludge : fly ash for stabilization. which was the ratio to hold the pH of sludge-fly ash mixture above 12.0 for at least 2 hours with containing the fly ash content as much as possible. was 5 : 15 : 80. Plasticity index(PI) of the mixture drastically decreased at a sludge content less than 60% Maximum dry density linearly increased with fly ash. In the direct shear test the sludges were found to have an internal friction angle of 30.2" and a cohesion of 0.3kg/㎤. The internal friction angle of the mixture was found to increase with increasing fly ash content. Results of the consolidation tests showed that addition of fly ash to the sludge decreased both compression index and the secodary consolidation coefifcient while it increased the consolidation coefficient. In permeability tests using a consolidometer. permeability of 1 X10^(-7)㎝/s.I which is required in U.S. EPA standard as a landfill liner. was attained indicating a possibility of using the tested mixture as a landfill cover material.

      • FET형 반도체 마이크로센서 개발(Ⅲ)

        현재 의료진단, 화학공정의 모니터링이나 환경공학적 감시 및 제어 등의 분야에서 사용되고 있는 기존의 센서는 고가이며 용적이 클 뿐만 아니라 분석시간이 길고 사용하기 까다로운 것 등 여러 가지 문제점이 있다. 또한 측정환경에 영향을 주지 않을 만큼 충분히 작으며 빠른 분석시간을 가진 센서를 필요로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 센서들의 난점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 형태의 FET형 전해질(electrolyte : H^+, K^+, Ca^2+, Na^+)센서소자 및 분석 시스템, 용존가스(O_2, CO_2)센서의 개발을 중점적으로 추진하였으며, FET형 압력센서, 습도센서 둥의 개별 FET형 센서에 관한 기초연구도 병행하였다. The conventional sensors have many problems such as high cost, large dimension, long analysis time and troublesome handling to apply to the fields of medical diagnosis, monitoring of chemical process and environmental monitoring/control. The main objects of this research are to develope a new FET type electrolyte(H^+, K^+, Ca^2+, Na^+)sensors, analysis system, and dissoved gas(O_2, CO_2)senors that can overcome the problems of the conventional sensors, and parallel basic researches on FET. type sensors such as pressure and humidity are also in progress.
