Competitive power in trade is closely connected with national economic strength. To look out nowadays and future prospect of the transition related to competitive power in trade, I made up a questionnaire to my 100 students. 1. Price competitive power decrease abruptly-product competitive power is a little constant-in influence power as compared with science-technology competitive power. 2. Cost factor is viewed to be dropped in contrasted with external-enterprise factor which are two composition factor of the price competitive power in 1990 and 2000 years. 3. In 1980, price competitive power was led by labour cost, role of government, etc. In 1990, price competitive power is viewed to be led by the capability of management, development of allied industry, trade policy. etc. In 2000, price competitive power is assumed to be dominated by development of allied industry, capability of management, trade policy, utility cost, etc. Therefore we must endeavour to keep up price competitive power and to strengthen science-technology competitive power.

턱걸이(Pull-up) 수행 시 숙련자와 비숙련자의 근육사용 차이에 관한 운동학적 연구

This study was conducted to find out the difference in the use of latissimus dorsi muscle and forearm muscles between skilled and unskilled people when performing pull-up. The subjects of the study were one skilled in the department of sports science at Soon-chun-hyang University, one unskilled person who had no problems with the musculoskeletal system over the past year, and a total of two people who could do pull-ups more than 20 times. A total of one experiment was conducted, and two tests were conducted. The electromyogram data of the light back and forearm muscles were compared using a wireless electromyogram measurement device (EMG). As a result of the study, first, when performing pull-up, the unskilled person performed the movement with the strength of the forearm muscle rather than the light back muscle compared to the skilled person. Second, when performing pull-up, the skilled person showed similar use of force in both pull-up movements, and for non-skilled people, the activity of the forearm muscle in the second movement was significantly increased.

Becoming a member of OECD, Korea is strongly requested to reform the present economic system toward the globalized open economy to reach the level of the Advanced Nations. In this paper, Japanese collectivism was studied to find a certain clue for relationship beteween its economic success and people's collective consciousness to sustain a long-term success of her economy. Even though Japan's idiosyncratic collectivism may has possibility to provoke mass-change in quality to out-group(the other country), there are certain indications found as follows: 1) It has been enhancing deeply rooted craftsmanship that originated from the motto 'Offering their Life for their Job' that was established resolutions from the feudal system and has effect to the harmonious relationship between workers and managers in the modern business society. 2) It has forced workers to live within their means by peer-pressure, and also managers to do their best in their job that set an example to be followed by workers, and founded the social system of trust, order, self-imposed control, and formed Japan into a harmonic society. 3) Consequently, In-group(Japan itself) has been unified by the unanimous consensus that is a groundwork for the harmony of her society. The principle of 'putting public interest first' as the highest value has been enhanced by a great number of managers who are dilligent, hardworking, thrifty, and frugal. Compared with Korean situation, Japan's economic growth owes greatly to the leaders sound morality that her society's collective characteristics harmonized well with.

소아 확장성 심근증의 임상적 고찰

A Clinical assessment of the 25 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy who were admitted to the Department of Pediatrics, Keimyung University Dong San Hospital from January, 1982 to June, 1993 was performed. The result were as follows: 1) Among 25 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. 8(32%) were younger than 1 year of age at the time of admission. 2) Adriamycin toxicity was the only encountered etiologic factor in 1 patient. 3) On admission, hepatomegaly and tachycardia were noted in almost all patients. 4) The Chest X-rays showed cardiomegalies in all 25 patients, pulmonary vein congestions in 15(60%) and pleural effusion in 2(8%). 5) The electrocardiography showed left ventricular hypertrophy in 72% and supraventricular tachycardia in 32%. 6) The echocardiographic examination showed left ventricular dilatations in all patients and left atrial dilatations in 20(80%). 7) Of 18 patients who had followed mean period of 2.9 years, 10 patients died within 9 months after the diagnosis.

스미드(A.Smith)와 리카아도(D.Ricardo)의 經濟思想에 관한 硏究

A. Smith lived the last era in which the merchantilistic protection and control blocked up the social development but D. Ricardo formulated his economic thought when Industrial Revolution was almost completed. By observing their thought, this study intend to comprehend the chronic situations of their economic thought, and to look the difference, inheritance and expansion of their thought, and to realize the influence of their thought to coming age. A Smith's free competition=laissez-faire, 'invisible hand' are the expression of economic liberalism. D. Ricardo's the labour value theory, comparative cost theory-inherited from A. Smith's liberal thought-are regarded as the maturity of Iudustial Revolution. A Smith and D. Ricardo believed passionately free trade and competition, their economic thought influenced powerfully radical Marxist and conservative neo-classical economic thought over 19-20 C. A. Smith pointed profit has averagely declining tendency with economic progrees but D. Ricardo indicated such tendency is occuring under the limited conditions. Though D. Ricardo was greatly influenced by A. Smith's 「Wealth of Nations」, he formulated contingency systematic theory transcending 「Wealth of Nations」, explaining the structure of capitalistic economy. D. Ricardo explained the differential rent denying the absolute rent, and he developed his theory to the highest place possible, leaping over contradition which is inherent in the A. Smith's theory. If A. Smith's ecomic theory is considered as a wellspring of all theory, D. Ricardo's important achivements in the history of the economic thought can be read in the value theory and distribution theory.

역간접촉산화법에 의한 연안 하구 수질개선에 관한 연구

A field study was conducted to investigate the removal efficiency and performance of contact oxidation treatment system installed and operated in two locations of stream flowing to the Masan Bay. The removal of organic matters from stream water flowing to the already eutrophicated bay is getting more important in order to restore the water quality. The removal efficiencies of BOD, SS and ABS loading rate were 52~63%, 50~70% and 60~85%, respectively, whereas 10~25% of total nitrogen and 25~40% of total phosphorus were only removed. The effluent water quality did not meet the goal class of water regulation standards. Inflow rates to contact oxidation treatment showed seasonal and hourly variations. The treatment capacity installed is now enough to handle the present inflows, thus it was suggested that this system should be operated to supply only the volume of oxygen to require the actual loading to the treatment system and the aeration system would be intermittently operated for the improvement of nitrogen and phosphorus removal. It was found that inflow rate should be controlled for detention time of contact oxidation to maintain at least more than 1.5 hr. When microbiological species of sludge and sludge accumulation in the lower steps of contact oxidation process was examined, proper draw-out of sludge from the system was also an important operating parameter.

Tetrodotoxin is a neurotoxin produced by about 90 species of puffer fish and causes paralysis of central nervous system and peripheral nerves by blocking the movement of all monovalent cation. Ingestion of tetrodotoxin produces clinical manifestations such as paresthesias(within 10-45 min), vomiting, lightheadedness, salivation, muscle twitching, dysphagia, difficulty in speaking, convulsion and death that expressed by cardiopulmonary arrest with loss of brain stem reflex sometimes. Tetrodotoxin prevents or delays ischemia induced neuronal death by way of following 3 mechanisms. Firstly, it reduces the energy demand of the brain tissues. Secondly, it delays or even prevents anoxic depolarization. Finally, it deminishes ischemia induced cell swelling and cerebral edema. We report a case of puffer fish poisoning which presented with cardiopulmonary arrest and loss of brain stem reflex, but completely recovered by aggressive cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
