This study seeks to examine the relationship between business resources (through VRIN: Valuable - valuable, Rare - scarce; Inimitable - difficult to adapt, Irreplaceable - hard to replace), dynamic capability, external cooperation, and efficiency of startups operating in the seafood export sector. Research data was collected randomly and conveniently from 250 enterprises in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, Vietnam, from October 2020 to December 2020. After excluding those ineligible, the remaining 204 enterprises meet the research conditions. With the support of SPSS-AMOS 22 dedicated software, using the 5-step Likert scale and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the study conducted analysis steps such as verifying convergence, discriminant value, unidirectional and scale reliability when giving the components correlated freely in the critical model by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) analysis. Results of the study have shown that the enterprise resource factor - VRIN has a positive impact on dynamic capability, and outside cooperation. However, in contrast to previous studies, we found that the relationship between enterprise resources - VRIN and performance as well as the relationship between dynamics capacity and performance is not clear. This shows that seafood exporters need to promote, exploit and effectively use this precious resource to improve business efficiency.

Purpose: This article focuses on exploring the associations between job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. Specifically, this study estimates the impacts of Vietnamese employees’ job satisfaction on their organizational commitment and turnover intention in FDI enterprises. Research design, data and methodology: The measures are adapted from previous studies to develop a questionnaire with a seven-point Likert scale. The dataset is directly collected from 227 respondents who are employees at FDI enterprises situated in the North of Vietnam. The dataset is analyzed by quantitative approaches using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. Results: The results show that while turnover intention is positively correlated with monthly income, it is negatively correlated with job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Also, organizational commitment is positively associated with job satisfaction among employees at FDI enterprises in Vietnam. Conclusions: The findings of this study will serve as useful references for administrators of FDI enterprises and policymakers to promote employees’ job satisfaction and retain skilled employees.

This paper represents a systematic approach aimed at improving the performance of the proportional integral (PI) controller for the Advanced Power Reactor (APR) 1400 Feedwater Control System (FWCS). When the performance of the PI controller offers superior control and enhanced robustness, the steam generator (SG) level is properly controlled. This leads to the safe operation and increased the availability of the nuclear power plant. In this paper, a systems engineering approach is used in order to design a novel PI controller for the FWCS. In the reverse engineering stage, the existing FWCS configuration, especially the characteristics of the feedwater controller as well as the feedwater flow path to each SG from the FWCS, were reviewed and analysed. The overall block diagram of the FWCS and the SG was also developed in the reverse engineering process. In the re-engineering stage, the actual design of the feedwater PI controller was carried out using a genetic algorithm (GA). Lastly, in the validation and verification phase, the existing PI controller and the PI controller designed using GA method were simulated in Simulink/Matlab. From the simulation results, the GA-PI controller was found to exhibit greater stability than the current controller of the FWCS.
Parametric Resonance of Acoustic and Optical Phonons in a Quantum Well

The parametric resonance of acoustic and optical phonons in a quantum well in the presence of an external electromagnetic eld is theoretically predicted by using a set of quantum transport equations for the phonons. Dispersions of the resonant phonon frequency and the threshold amplitude of the field for parametric amplication of the acoustic phonons are obtained. If they are obtained, then they are also estimated for realistic semiconductor models.

We investigate the influence of phonon confinement on the optically-detected electrophonon resonance (ODEPR) effect and ODEPR linewidth in rectangular quantum wires (RQW). The ODEPR conditions as functions of the wire’s size and the photon energy are also obtained. The splittings of ODEPR peaks caused by the confined phonon are discussed. The numerical result for a specific RQW shows that in the two cases of confined and bulk phonons, the linewidth decreases with increasing wire size and increases with increasing temperature. Furthermore, in the small range of the wire’s size (<i>L</i> ≤ 40 nm), phonon confinement plays an important role and cannot be neglected in reaching the ODEPR linewidth.
