      • 신경망을 이용한 ATM 망에서 트래픽 제어에 관한 연구

        A traffic control using back-propagation neural networks propose for the ATM communications networks. This paper proposes adaptive call admission control using back-propagation algorithm in link capacity control. In this paper, back-propagation algorithm is trained to estimate call admission rate from traffic load and link capacity, and link capacity assignment is optimized by back-propagation algorithm method which used learning rate and moment term. Therefore, simulation results yield efficient ATM traffic control which use neural networks training between quality of service(QOS) and traffic parameter in the number of class 1, 2 and evaluate call loss rate 10exp(-6) using the Erlang-Bequation by trained back-propagation neural networks.

        文化生産 文學敎育論

        方仁泰 한국초등국어교육학회 2001 한국초등국어교육 Vol.19 No.-

        본고는 우리의 국어교육이 앞으로 문화생산을 지향해 문학교육은 그 핵심에 놓여야 한다고 보았으며, 이제까지의 이해와 감상 위주의 指能主義的관점에서 표현과 창작 위주의 文化生産的관점의 문학교욱으로 그 指向點이 바뀌어야 할 것을 주장하였다. 이러한 인식을 바탕으로 문화생산 문화교욱을 위한 원리로서 체험과 상상의 원리, 쾌락과 진실의 원리, 감동과 심미의 원리, 표현과 생산의 원리를 제시하였다. 그리고 그러한 원리에 바탕을 두고 문학교육의 方法을 두 가지 측면에서 이해와 감상, 표현과 창작으로 구분하여 살펴보았다. 이와 같은 논의는 문화생산 국어교육을 지향하는 것 (方仁泰,1999)으로서, 文字교육(2001a)과 言語교육 (方仁泰2001c), 그 하위 영역을 다룬 것으로 讀解교육 (方仁泰,2001b)과 作文교육을 함께 논의해야 그 일관된 논의를 확인할 수 있을 것이라 생각한다. Now Korean language deucation have to try for culture production from language art's education. And teaching literature is a core of Korean language education for culture production. Especially teaching literature has to transfer expression/creation form understanding/appeciation. And so I have discussed four principles that the first is experience and imagination, the second is pleasure and truth, the third is sympathy and appreciation of beauty, the last is expression and production. Next I have presented a few methods by two sides of understanding/appreciation and expression/ creation. To the end I would like to emphasized to have a unity of dixcussions. Because the nature of literature is harmony and equilibrium, it has to be consist of many literary elements structurally. This approach is bound for Korean language teaching for culture production. Next discussions ought to be continued to written language teaching(Bahng, 2001a), teaching composition and teaching comprehension(Bahng,2001b). This thesis have meaning and value, if the cultural ability of production leveled up, if culture have producted by teaching literature for culture production, and if Korean culture have developed and matured to one step.

        Do Nordic Bulls and Bears Still Move across National Borders? Revisiting Scandinavia after 2000

        This study revisits the issue of market inter-dependence in the Scandinavian stock markets, following the research of Booth, Martikainen, and Tse(1997). Unlike their previous research, AR-CJR-in-Mean models and the daily return data of 1990 to 2002 are used in this study to re-examine mean and volatility spillovers in the Nordic region of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. The following results were obtained from the empirical analysis. First, the leverage effect or phenomenon of an asymmetrically higher response of the unexpected returns of the current period on the subsequent period's volatility was confirmed to exist in all markets. Secondly, the information transmission of mean spillover was confirmed to exist on all possible paths in all four markets, whereas the volatility spillover was found on most information paths. This research contributed to the literature on international market linkages by analyzing the behavior of information transmission among the four Scandinavian stock markets.

        THE RESPONSE OF THE INDIAN STOCK MARKET TO THE MOVEMENT OF ASIA'S EMERGING MARKETS : FROM ISOLATION TOWARD INTEGRATION?

        This paper investigates the existence of the inter-dependence between the Indian stock market and Asia's emerging markets since 1990. This study analyzes whether the MSCI Asian Index has significantly influenced the Bombay Stock Exchange Index before, during, and after the Asian financial crisis. To address this issue, the author first uses a rolling correlation, and conduct uni-directional and bi-directional causality tests using the Granger causality test. He then examines the impulse response functions and variance decompositions of forecast errors based on a VAR (vector auto-regression) model. These tests provide evidence that the influence of the Asian market on the Indian market has increased during and after the Asian financial crisis. These results can be interpreted as evidence that the Indian market has been moving toward integration with other Asian markets.

        Apoptosis-Induced Gene Profiles of a Myeloma Cell P3-X63-Ag8.653

        Background: Apoptosis is a physiologic phenomenon involved in development, elimination of damaged cells, and maintenance of cell homeostasis. Deregulation of apoptosis may cause diseases, such as cancers, immune diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders. The mouse myeloma cell P3-X63-Ag8.653 (v653) is an HGPRT deficient $(HGPRT^-)$ mutant strain. High dependency on de novo transcription and translation of aminopterin induced apoptosis of this cell seems to be an ideal experimental system for searching apoptosis-induced genes. Methods & Results: For searching apoptosis-related genes we carried out GE-array (dot blot), Affymetrix GeneChip analysis, Northern analysis and differential display-PCR techniques. The chip data were analyzed with three different programs. 66 genes were selected through Affymetrix GeneChip analyses. All genes selected were classified into 8 groups according to their known functions. They were Genes of 1) Cell growth/maintenance/death/enzyme, 2) Cell cycle, 3) Chaperone, 4) Cancer/disease-related genes, 5) Mitochondria, 6) Membrane protein/signal transduction, 7) Nuclear protein/nucleic acid binding/transcription binding and 8) Translation factor. Among these groups number of genes were the largest in the genes of cell growth/maintenance/death/enzyme. Expression signals of most of all groups were peaked at 3 hour of apoptosis except genes of Nuclear protein/nucleic acid binding/transcription factor which showed maximum signal at 1 hour. Conclusion: This study showed induction of wide range of proapoptotic factors which accelerate cell death at various stage of cell death. In addition apoptosis studied in this research can be classified as a type 2 which involves cytochrome c and caspase 9 especially in early stages of death. But It also has progressed to type 1 in late stage of the death process.

        名詞に接續する「せいで」の意味と機能

        본 논문은 명사에 접속하는 “세이데(せいで)”의 의미와 기능에 대하여 분석, 고찰 한 것이다. “세이데(せいで)”가 기본적으로 “바람직하지 않은 결과”를 나타낸다는 점을 지적한 것은 종래에 연구사례가 많이 있으나, “바람직한 결과”를 나타내는 것 같은 예문이 있다는 지적은 종래의 연구에서 거의 보이지 않는다. 또한 “세이데(せいで)”가 단문에서 사용될 때와 복문에서 사용될 때는 다른 특징이 보이지만 이것을 구분하여 고찰한 연구는 이루어진 적이 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 우선 단문에서 사용되는 경우와 복문에서 사용되는 경우를 구분하고, “바람직하지 않은 결과”를 나타내는 경우와 “바람직한 결과”를 나타내는 경우로 세분하여 각각의 특징에 대하여 기술하는 것을 목표로 했다. 그 결과는 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, “세이데(せいで)”가 단문에서 사용되는 경우는 기본적으로 “바람직하지 않은 결과”를 나타낸다. 그러나 “바람직한 결과”를 나타내는 예문도 10례가 확인되었다. 이와 같은 단문에서 사용되는 경우, 전접명사가 “바람직하지 않은 결과” 와 “바람직한 결과”의 양쪽에 중복되는 경우는 보이지 않았다. 둘째, “세이데(せいで)”가 복문에서 사용되는 경우는 다음과 같이 ①“바람직하지 않은 결과”+“바람직하지 않은 결과”, ②“바람직하지 않은 결과”+“바람직한 결과”, ③“바람직한 결과”+“바람직하지 않은 결과”, ④“바람직한 결과”+“바람직한 결과”를 나타내는 경우의 네 가지로 나눌 수 있다. 이중에서 ③과 ④의 경우에도 “오카게데(おかげで)”가 아니라 “세이데(せいで)”가 사용되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 한편, 단문과 복문의 양쪽에서 사용된 전접명사는 개별어수로 14개가 확인되었다. 이상의 내용을 종합하면 종래의 연구결과와는 다르게, 단문에서는 명사에 접속하는 “세이데(せいで)”는 “바람직하지 않은 결과”뿐만 아니라 “바람직한 결과”도 나타낼 수 있으며, 복문에서는 “세이데(せいで)”의 바로 뒤에도 “바람직한 결과”가 올 수 있다고 말할 수 있다. In this paper, the meanings and the functions of "seide" connected with nouns are examined and analyzed. A lot of previous research papers reported that “seide” commonly represents “undesirable results” in the sentences, but none of them showed that “seide” has the opposite meaning of “desirable results” in some example sentences. “Seide” has different characteristics when it is used in the simple sentence and used in the complex sentence. However, no previous literature has separately focused on two cases of sentences. In the paper the different cases of “seide” in the simple sentence and in the complex sentence are distinguished and analyzed. More detailed investigations are classified with the meanings of “undesirable results” and “desirable results”. The results can be summarized as follows. First, when "seide" is used in a simple sentence, it basically indicates the meaning of "undesirable result". However, ten example sentences exist and confirm that “seide” surprisingly has the opposite meaning of "desirable results". Second, when "seide" is used in a complex sentence, four cases can be considered as in the below: ①"undesirable result"+"undesirable result", ②"undesirable result"+"desirable result", ③"desirable result”+"undesirable result", and ④"desirable result”+"desirable result". Among them, ③ and ④ cases show that "seide" is used instead of "okagede". In conclusion, "seide" connected with nouns shows the meaning of “desirable results” in the special cases of the simple sentences although it represents “undesirable results” in most simple sentences. Similarly in several complex sentences, the predicates right after “seide” are somtimes used to have the meaning of “desirable results”.

        INTERACTIONS OF STOCK MARKETS WITHIN THE GREATER CHINA ECONOMIC BLOC

        This paper investigates what types of mutual relationships exist among the stock markets of the Greater China economic bloc, which include stock markets in Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as stock markets in Shanghai and Shenzhen. Using the unit root test, co-integration analysis, and vector error correction model (VECM), this paper analyzes interrelationships among daily stock indices for the period from the beginning of 1992 to the end of 2001. Test results indicate the existence of one co-integrating vector, implying that a long-run equilibrium relationship holds among the four stock indices. Variance decomposition of forecast errors provides evidence that the Shenzhen stock market is the market most heavily influenced by the unexpected variations of other markets in the Greater China economic bloc.

      • Trench Formation on Ion Implanted SiC Surfaces after Thermal Oxidation

        <P>The effects of the damage induced during ion implantation on the surface roughening and oxide growth rate were investigated. Using several scheme of doses and acceleration energies, it is found that the amount of the dose predominantly produce damage rather than the acceleration energy, especially near the surface region. It was also found that the damage affects not only the oxide growth rate but also the surface roughening during high temperature annealing. The edge of highly implanted area may have higher doping concentration due to the vicinal side wall effect of the thick oxide mask for ion implantation. It was confirmed by the trench formation after thermal oxide remove.</P>

        Development of a low-energy beam transport system at KBSI heavy-ion accelerator

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The Korea Basic Science Institute has developed a heavy ion accelerator for fast neutron radiography [1]. To meet the requirements for fast neutron generation, we have developed an accelerator system that consists of an electron cyclotron resonance ion source (ECR-IS), low-energy beam transport (LEBT) system, radio-frequency quadrupole (RFQ), medium-energy beam transport system, and drift tube linac. In this paper, we present the development of the LEBT system as a part of the heavy ion accelerator system, which operates from the ECR-IS to the RFQ entrance.</P>

      • Modification of Surface Layer during High Temperature Annealing and its Effects on the SiC Diode Characteristics

        <P>We have investigated the influence of surface modification on the electrical properties of SiC diodes. Schottky diodes (SBDs) as well as PiN diodes were fabricated on n-type SiC substrate with an epilayer, and electrically characterized before and after high temperature annealing, and after removing the surface modified layer, respectively. The devices annealed without graphite cap layer showed ohmic behavior. The surface layer was modified to a conductive layer possibly due to the preferred sublimation of Si species. In order to confirm the existence of modified surface conductive layer, diode was fabricated on the same substrate and electrically characterized after removing 30nm-thick damaged layer by ICP-RIE. The leakage current reduced dramatically, as much as 7 orders of magnitude. The PiN diodes fabricated on the damaged surface layer showed the reverse leakage current and the breakdown voltage of 50mA and 1250V, respectively. While those of the diode fabricated after removing the damaged surface layer were 200nA at the breakdown voltage of 2100V, respectively.</P>
