Climate change, one of humankind’s major challenges, has caused drought to become more frequent in recent years, and these drought conditions have negatively affected crop production by decreasing the availability of soil water to plants. Therefore, efficient soil moisture management is essential, and adding soil amendment is considered one of the best management practices. Recently, hydrogels have gained attention as potential soil amendments in agriculture because they can improve soil structure and water-holding capacity due to their hydrophilic properties. Hence, the current study was carried out to examine the effects of laponite-contained hydrogel (LHD) application on soil characteristics and lettuce yield under field conditions. The LHD was applied to upland soil at four application rates (0%, 0.25%, 0.5%, and 1% (w/w)), and lettuce was subsequently cultivated for seven weeks. Applying 1% hydrogel increased soil water content by 94% and decreased soil bulk density by 22%. Also, hydrogel applications significantly improved the soil’s biological properties, such as β-glucosidase, phosphatase dehydrogenase, colony-forming unit, and soil respiration. The highest dry-weight lettuce yield was observed from soil that received 1% hydrogel, which was attributed to improved soil physical and biological properties. Furthermore, it reduced the impact of drought stress, as evidenced by the reduced proline accumulation in lettuce. Thus, LHD can be used as a soil amendment in agriculture.

Il est difficile de trouver l’étude précèdente qui s’approche de l’imagination bachelardienne par l’aspect auditif. L’affectivité sonore de Bachelard est d’comprise en vertu du concept de “l’audition projetante”. Elle n’est pas seulement l’ouïe subtile mais aussi signifie l’imagination sonore qui s’offre comme le rétablissement d’“un au-delà du toujours vu”. Contre la civilisation moderne, l’imagination sonore de Bachelard transforme le bruit de la ville en son océanique. Selon son expression, c’est “la naturalisation des bruits”. La résonance sonore constitue donc la communication invisible entre toute les choses, comme le son de la neige est senti dans la flamme d’une chandelle. Dans La flamme d’une chandelle, la particularité de l’image provient de l’idée qui ne considère pas la lumière seulement comme l’objet visuel, mais aussi l’horizon non-visuel. La flamme d’une chandelle est, chez Bachelard, déployée le plus souvent par l’autre système de la sensation corporelle, la capacité auditive nommée la ‘clairaudience’. C’est pourquoi la lumière de Bachelard arrive à “la vie qui parle” et encourage aussi la solitude d’une seule personne. La sensation auditive repose enfin sur la sensation du silence. Le silence bachelardien est loin de l’idée de la mort que la civilisation moderne lui impose. Par contre, le silence devient l’événement de la communication entre “les voix qui s’approchent et les voix qui s’éloignent”. Le silence est pour Bachelard un monde tendu vers un devenir. C’est pourquoi son “audition projetante” est aussi l’expérience auditive qui est apte à saisir “les voix tacites” ou le silence.

Volatile formation is an inevitable result of lipid oxidation, which impact the quality of lipid rich foods. In this study, moisture role on the formation of volatiles were evaluated using deuterium oxide (D2O) and possible steps of moisture involvement were suggested. Moisture content in corn oil with deuterium free water (H2O) was significantly (p\0.05) higher than that in corn oil with D2O. The contents of some volatiles including pentane, hexanal, 2-hexenal, and t-2-heptenal in corn oil with D2O were higher than those in corn oil with H2O for the first 8 days. Volatiles containing deuterium appeared in the order of pentane, t-2-pentenal, and t-2-heptenal during oxidation. Deuterium incorporated volatiles could be formed after the b-scission of lipid hydroperoxides. Therefore, moisture plays important roles in the formation of volatiles as well as the locations of oxidation in bulk oils.

원자력 발전소에 대한 밀폐 ${CO}_{2}$ 가스터빈 프로세스의 최적화 연구 I

본 연구에서의 CO$_{2}$ 프로세스는 1차 루프인 원자로에서 유도되는 나트륨 과 2차 루프인 CO$_{2}$ 가스터빈 사이클로 구성하였고, CO$_{2}$ 임계점 부근에서 압축을 행하였다. 또한 최적의 사이클을 결정하기 위해 h-s 선도와 이에 대한 열역 학적, 칼로리로 유도하였다. 그리고 최적화를 위해 출력을 각각 300,600, 1000MWe로 선택하였고, 터빈 입구압은 150-350bar의 범위로 선택하였으며 이들로부터 열효율에 영향을 주는 각 설계변수의 특성을 연구 분석하였다. These days the closed cycle gas turbine attracts considerable attention due to : (1) The possibility of directly coupling the closed cycle gas turbine with a high temperature gas cooled reactor ; (2) the economical use of dry coolers to reduce the thermal charge of the environment ; and (3) the reduction of pollution and energy consumption, by replacing the domestic hearth by a central heating and power station. In this paper, we selected the optimal cycle from the characteristic of thermodynamic cycle for the optimal design of closed CO$_{2}$ gas turbine cycle usuable in nuclear energy power plant. Also the effects of between the parameters and thermal efficiency were investigated by computer simulation. These results and design data will be added to basics in optimal designing closed CO$_{2}$ cycle gas turbine plant.
전기저항 측정에 의한 Au-10at%Co 합금의 시효석출 현상에 관한 연구

The precipitation of cobalt-rich particles in Au-10at%Co alloys has been studied by electrical resistivity measurements. The kinetics of precipitation could be well described by Johnson-Mehl-Avrami equation, f(t)=1-exp(-kt??) and the values of n were found to be in the range 0.42∼0.88, 1.22∼2.38 and 0.48~0.65. The activation energy of aging Au-10at%Co alloys was determined by cross-cut method: the value varies between 51.7 and 68.4kJ/mol and is similar to the energy of motion of either a vacancy or vacuncy-solute complex through the lattice.
