의료기기산업의 지식창출 방식과 산·학 협력의 공간적 특성에 관한 연구

이 연구의 목적은 지역별 의료기기 기업과 대학 간 지식창출을 위한 협력활동이 어떠한 공간적 특성을 보이는지에 대한 ”협력 메커니즘“을 고찰하는데 있다. 이를 위해, 산업 부문별・지역별 협력 특성, 지역산업정책을 통한 재정투입 규모와 산학협력의 공간적 범위를 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 의료기기 산업의 협력 메커니즘에 있어서 5가지의 특징을 확인하였다. 첫째, 부문별 산업 및 시장구조에 따라 지식창출 방식 특히, 산학연 협력 방식이 다르다. 둘째, 수도권은 산산협력이 우세하며, 비수도권은 산학협력 활동이 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 부문별로 수도권과 비수도권 간 산학협력의 지역별 차별성이 존재한다. 넷째, 정부 재정투입규모는 비수도권 지역별로 산학협력 활동의 공간적 범위에 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로, 지역 대학별로 협력기업이 소재한 공간적 범위는 전국단위, 혹은 광역권 단위, 혹은 시・도 단위 등 차별적으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to examine the “cooperative mechanism” of the spatial characteristics of cooperative activities for knowledge creation between regional medical device companies and universities. To this end, the characteristics of cooperation by industry sector and region, the scale of fiscal input through regional industrial policies, and the spatial scope of industry-university cooperation were examined. As a result of the analysis, five characteristics were identified in the cooperative mechanism of the medical device industry. First, the knowledge creation method, especially the industry-university cooperation method, differs depending on the industry and market structure of each sector. Second, industry-industrial cooperation prevailed in the metropolitan area, and industry-university cooperation activities were relatively high in the non-metropolitan areas. Third, there are regional differences in industrial-university cooperation between the metropolitan area and non-metropolitan areas by sector. Fourth, the scale of government fiscal investment affected the spatial scope of industrial-university cooperation activities in non-metropolitan area. Finally, the spatial range in which partner companies are located for each local university was differentiated, such as the national level, metropolitan level, or provincial level.
