The purpose of this study is to provide them with a further detailed method on how to develope the cultural tourism industry of Mokpo city. The first chapter mentions the necessity of development of the cultural tourism resources and the second chapter examined the background of Mokpo city's resources. So called, this study investigates the tourism resources through the geographical place and the historic and cultural background. The third chapter deals with the identity of Mokpo's resources and the fourth chapter classifies the resources pertaining to historical relics, festival culture, food culture, popular culture and art culture. The fifth chapter provides the method on how to develope the cultural tourism resources. Particularly, we tried to make the method realistic comparing with the present Mokpo city's tourism policy. The last chapter deals with the insufficient contents in this study and further tasks which should be studied later. Thus this study suggests that the efficient method to develope Mokpo city's cultural tourism resources is to graft the cultural unique identity of Mokpo city itself onto Mokpo city's tourism industry.
