The variabilities of precipitation and particulate matters (i.e., PM10 and PM2.5) and the scavenging efficiency of PMs by precipitation were quantified using long-term measurements in Seoul, Korea. The 21 years (2001~2021) measurements of precipitation and PM10 mass concentrations, and the 7 years (2015~2021) of PM2.5 mass concentrations were used. Statistical analysis was performed for each period (i.e., year, season, and month) to identify the long-term variabilities of PMs and precipitation. PM10 and PM2.5 decreased annually and the decreasing rate of PM10 was greater than PM2.5. The precipitation intensity did not show notable variation, whereas the annual precipitation amount showed a decreasing trend. The summer precipitation amount contributed 61.10% to the annual precipitation amount. The scavenging efficiency by precipitation was analyzed based on precipitation events separated by 2-hour time intervals between hourly precipitation data for 7 years. The scavenging efficiencies of PM10 and PM2.5 were quantified as a function of precipitation characteristics (i.e., precipitation intensity, amount, and duration). The calculated average scavenging efficiency of PM10 (PM2.5) was 39.59% (35.51%). PM10 and PM2.5 were not always simultaneously scavenged due to precipitation events. Precipitation events that simultaneously scavenged PM10 and PM2.5 contributed 42.24% of all events, with average scavenging efficiency of 42.93% and 43.39%. The precipitation characteristics (i.e., precipitation intensity, precipitation amount, and precipitation duration) quantified in these events were 2.42 mm hr1, 15.44 mm, and 5.51 hours. This result corresponds to 145% (349%; 224%) of precipitation intensity (amount; duration) for the precipitation events that do not simultaneously scavenge PM10 and PM2.5.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to report the clinical effect on a 54-year-old diabetes patient, categorized into taeeumin exterior disease, after taking herbal medicine. Methods The patient was diagnosed as taeeumin’s esophagus-cold pattern and type 2 diabetes symptoms in taeeumin patient were indigestion, fatigue, and headache. We assessed the changes of fasting blood sugar(FBS), hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c), and total cholesterol. Results and Conclusions FBS, HbA1c, and total cholesterol reduced after treated by Jowiseungchungtang-gamibang three times per day for 5 months. These results show that treating a diabetic patient, accompanied by esophagus-cold symptoms, with Jowiseungchungtang-gamibang particularly improves high blood glucose after orthopedic surgery in practicing healthy eating habits.

Objectives Edema occurs in various disorders, such as heart failure, nephrotic syndrome, renal failure, liver cirrhosis, and cancer. The excessive accumulation of interstitial fluid in limb tissue will often manifest with ankle and knee swelling and lowers patient's quality of life. But the conventional treatment includes restricting dietary sodium and using diuretics. The purpose of this study is about significant improvement of a patient with edema who had suffered from dependent gait accompanied by mild pain, after treatment by herbal medicine based on SCM(Sasang constitutional medicine). Methods The pattern identification of the patient was diagnosed with a superficial disease of Taeeumin. So after the admission, Gunyuljejo-tang was used, almost two times per day during 2 weeks. Also, we applied acupuncture routinely every day and western medicine as needed. We measured the circumferences of Lt. thigh and followed up the bioelectrical impedance analysis and checked the appearance of lower limb. Results and Conclusions The therapy was effective, and the circumferences, which was 59.69cm at onset time, decreased to 52.07cm almost same to the healthy side of her thigh. There was no more edematous sign on the body, either. This case showed that management of Taeeumin's healthy energy(呼散之氣, the energy of exhalation) could be effective in treating edema.
달리기 속도 및 시각적 피드백 제공이 충격 감소에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study was to present the clinical possibility and correct and safe running method for injury prevention by verifying the impact reduction effect of running speed and providing real-time visual feedback. The subjects of the study were 21 healthy adult males (age: 27.0±3.9 yrs., height: 1.75±0.6 m, weight: 74.0±10.7 kg), and the preferred running speed was ±10%(V1: 3.7± 0.2 m/s, V2: 3.0 ± 0.1 m/s) for normal running and real-time visual feedback running for 2 minutes each. For statistical processing, two-way repeated measure ANOVA was performed to compare the impact reduction effect under each condition (speed, feedback application) (α=.05). As a result of this study, there was a statistically significant difference in spatiotemporal variables (stride frequency, stride time, stride length, contact time) according to speed and contact time when feedback was applied (p<.05). In addition, the angle of the ankle and hip joint at foot contact, the angle of the foot segment at toe off, the angle of the lower extremity joint (ankle/knee/hip joint), and the range of motion of the foot segment and hip joint were significantly different depending on the speed. There were statistically significant dif- ferences in hip joint angle at foot contact, foot and knee joint angle, lower extremity segment and joint range of motion at toe off (p<.05). The impact peak force, braking peak force, lmpact loading rate, and braking load rate showed statistically significant differences according to the speed and feedback application, and only the vertical impact impulse and braking impulse showed statistical differences according to the feedback application (p<.05). In conclusion, real-time visual feedback showed an effect of reducing impact during run- ning, and it can be seen that the slower the running speed, the lower the shock.
성폭력범죄 전자감독 대상자의 사회복귀의지 요인에 관한 연구 -유입모델과 박탈모델을 중심으로-

전자감독제도는 재범 위험성이 높은 범죄자의 신체에 전자장치를 부착하여 위치추적 및 모니터링 감시와 강화된 지도·감독 보호관찰 방법을 함께 활용하는 지역사회 교정전략이다. 그러나 범죄자들은 오랜 기간 동안 교도소에 구금되어 있었기에 출소 후 지역사회로 돌아온 이후에는 주변 환경에 적응하지 못하고 사회적·심리적 어려움을 겪게 되어 사회복귀의지가 결핍되는 경우가 발생한다. 이 연구에서는 총 410명의 성폭력범죄 전자감독 대상자의 특성을 유입모델과 박탈모델로 나누고, 두 가지 모델 요인이 사회복귀의지에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과에 따르면, 유입모델의 취업상태·혼인상태·자기통제력이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 박탈모델의 친밀한 관계의 상실이 사회복귀의지에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 대상자의 사회복귀의지 향상을 위해서는 복지적 보호관찰 관리·감독 방법의 고안, 스트레스 완화 프로그램 제공, 지역사회 프로그램 연계 시스템을 강화할 필요가 있다.
