Temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) often show muscular disorder, internal derangement and degenerative change of articular surface of the condyle. It is important to choose adequate diagnostic method for obtaining data for the diagnosis and treatment. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has some advantages, because it shows good resolution image for the soft tissue and it is not invasive to the human body. We have performed serial research about the retrodiscal tissue of the TMJ according to the progress of the disease, using T2 weighted image, since 2002. In this study, we applicated resized observation area to compare signal intensity between the retrodiscal tissue of the TMJ and cerebral gray matter, using T2 weighted image.

Robust Tracking of Robot Manipulators via Momentum-based Disturbance Observer and Passivity-based Controller

The passivity-based controller is one of most widely-used controllers for robot manipulators. Since itstrongly exploits the system properties, it does not produce unnecessarily large control effort and has inherent robustnessagainst plant uncertainty and disturbance. This paper presents an inner-loop controller which can enhancethe robustness of the passivity-based tracking controllers. The inner-loop controller developed in this paper robustlyestimates the lumped disturbance, which is defined by the effect of plant uncertainty and external disturbance, andgenerates a compensating signal so that the closed-loop system consisting of the uncertain robot, disturbance observer,and passivity-based controller behaves like the nominal closed-loop system composed of the nominal modelof the robot and the passivity-based controller. It is seen that the tracking error can be made arbitrarily smallby choosing the controller parameters appropriately and the performance of the proposed controller is validatedthrough numerical simulations.

This study aims to find the perceptions of students who participated in physical education under the free semester system from an education service quality perspective by using the IPA method. In addition, the findings of performing IPA based on the results of testing the differences between importance and satisfaction on the service quality of physical education in the free learning semester are as follows. Quadrant Ⅰ consists of elements such as proactively addressing problems when students are facing them; having a reliable process and credible evaluation results in giving grades; being trustworthy and followed by the students; keeping a secure class environment; being kind and polite to students, and lastly, having abundant knowledge to teach them. Quadrant Ⅱ contains physical equipment and facilities that work well and are convenient to use, scheduling the education time considering the convenience for students, the teacher paying attention to each student, the teacher being fully aware of and understanding student needs. Quadrant Ⅲ contains the possession of state-of-the-art physical equipment and facilities, physical facilities with a good and clean appearance, the teacher informing the physical education class schedules in advance to the students, the teacher responding quickly to questions and suggestions of students, the teacher helping them willingly, and the teacher responding rapidly to student demands. Quadrant Ⅳ contains the teacher's teaching style conducting classes smoothly, and the teacher conducting classes following the planned school calendar. 이 연구는 IPA기법을 통해 자유학기제 체육활동에 참여하는 학생의 인식을 교육서비스품질의 관점에서 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 자유학기제 체육활동의 교육서비스품질에 대한 중요도와 만족도 간의 차이검정 결과를 토대로 IPA 분석을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. Ⅰ사분면에는 학생에게 문제가 발생했을 시 적극적으로 해결하는 교사, 신뢰 할 수 있는 성적처리 과정 및 평가 결과, 믿고 따를 수 있는 교사, 안전한 수업 환경, 학생에게 친절하고 예의 있는 교사, 학생을 가르칠 풍부한 전문 지식이 있는 교사 등의 속성이 포함되어 있다. Ⅱ사분면에는 사용 시 불편함이 없고 잘 작동 되는 체육 시설과 장비, 학생들의 편의를 고려한 교육시간 편성, 학생 한명 한명에게 모두 관심을 가지는 교사, 학생의 요구를 충분히 알고 잘 이해해주는 교사 등의 속성이 포함되어 있다. Ⅲ사분면에는 최신 체육 기구 및 장비 보유, 외관이 우수하고 깔끔한 체육시설, 체육수업과 관련된 학사 일정을 미리 제공하는 교사, 학생의 질문 및 건의사항에 신속하게 반응하는 교사, 자발적으로 학생을 돕는 교사, 바쁠 때도 학생의 요구에 신속하게 반응하는 교사 등의 속성이 포함되어 있다. Ⅳ사분면은 교사의 매끄러운 수업 진행, 계획된 학사 일정을 준수하여 수업을 진행하는 교사 등의 속성이 포함되어 있다.

It is generally known that mucositis which often occur on hematopoietic disease patients, shows local necrosis of oral mucosa when the CBC is below the normal range. But sometimes, the lesions are occasionally infiltrate into adjacent tissue. When the pathologic destructive expansion is occurred, differential diagnosis with fungal infection, one of opportunistic infections, is needed. This means treatment and prognosis can be changed according to the diagnosis. So the diagnostic process is more important in this hematopoietic disease patients. In case of fungal infection, the range of tissue damage can expand broadly, and also proper antifungal agent and surgical extirpation should be done. After operation, continuous antifungal therapy and observations are needed. We made a comparative study of following 2 cases of fungal infection appeared on the acute lymphatic leukemia patients to discuss what the proper surgical treatment and medications are, and when the proper surgical intervention time is.

기업의 자발적 공시와 대주주의 주식담보대출

본 연구는 대주주가 보유주식을 담보로 자금을 조달한 경우 기업이 자발적 공시 행태를 어떻게 조정하는지에 대하여 조사한다. 이를 통해 대주주의 주식담보대출이 기업의 행동에 미칠 수 있는 영향을 규명하고, 오늘날 보편화되고 있는 주식담보대출 현상의 경제적 효과를 이해하는 데 기여하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 2013년부터 2019년까지 국내 유가 증권시장 및 코스닥시장에 상장된 기업을 이용하여 분석한 결과, 대주주의 주식담보대출이 존재하는 기업은 그렇지 않은 기업에 비하여 자발적 공시 빈도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 대주주의 주식담보대출이 존재하는 기업의 공시 빈도의 감소는 정성적 정보보다 정량적 정보의 공시에서, 호재성 정보보다는 악재성 정보의 공시에서 두드러지게 나타났다. 본 연구의 발견은 대주주의 주식담보대출이 대주주와 소액주주 간의 대리인 문제를 심화시킨다는 관점을 지지한다. 이러한 관점과 일관되게, 횡단면 분석에서는 주식담보대출과 자발적 공시 빈도 간의 음(-)의 관계가 주주 간의 대리인 문제가 잠재적으로 클 것으로 예상되는 기업에서 더욱 강하게 관찰되었다. 요컨대, 본 연구의 발견은 대주주 개인의 차입 의사결정인 주식담보대출이 존재할 때 기업은 대주주의 사적 이익을 극대화하는 방향으로 정보를 선택적으로 공시할 수 있음을 보였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. This study investigates whether and how major shareholders’ share pledging affects firms’ voluntary disclosure behavior. While share pledging, a shareholder’s pledging of stock as collateral for personal bank loans, is an emerging phenomenon worldwide, its economic implications are underexplored in the literature. To fill this void, this study exploits a unique Korean institutional setting where major shareholders’ share pledging is mandatorily disclosed. Using a sample of Korean firms listed in the KOSPI and KOSDAQ exchanges during 2013-2019, we find that pledging firms are less likely than non-pledging firms to provide voluntary disclosure. This tendency is observed only for the disclosure of quantitative rather than qualitative information, and is also more pronounced for the disclosure of bad news than that of good news. These results are consistent with a view that the share pledging of major shareholders can exacerbate agency conflicts between major and minor shareholders. In line with this view, our additional analyses reveal that the negative relation between share pledging and disclosure frequency is more pronounced for firms that are subject to greater intra-shareholder agency conflicts. Collectively, the findings suggest that major shareholders with share pledging induce firms to selectively disclose information to the market, in a manner that serves their private benefits.

경영정상화를 위한 의사결정과 이익조정: (주)혁신엔지니어링의 사례

본 사례에서는 경영위기에 직면한 ㈜혁신엔지니어링이 경영정상화 과정에서 내린 경영의사결정과 회계의사결정이 어떻게 재무제표에 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 ㈜혁신엔지니어링이 경영위기를 극복하기 위하여 수립한 경영정상화 계획을 세부적으로 살펴보고, 그 계획의 실행이 재무제표에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 구체적으로, 기업이 실제경영활동을 통해서 이익에 영향을 미치는 실물 이익조정이 이루어지는 방법과 경영자가 선택하는 회계정책 및 추정방법 변경에 따른 발생액 기반 이익조정이 재무제표에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이 과정을 통해 기업의 경영환경 변화에 따라 실물 이익조정 및 발생액 기반 이익조정이 어떻게 이루어지는지 학습할 수 있다. This case describes managers’ decisions on accrual based earnings management and real earnings management to increase reported earnings. To overcome the financial distress of Innovation Engineering Co. (IE), managers of IE set up a recovery plan, including the reduction of several discretionary expenses, such as selling and general administrative expense and research and development expense. IE also sold several real estates (land) that are currently not in use for operation. In addition to the changes in real business operations, managers of IE made several accrual-based decisions that are not related to the change of real business operations. The decisions include changes in accounting policies related to capitalization of research and development expenditure and the estimation of bad debts and depreciation. With the case of IE, one can understand how managers use opportunistic earnings management tools to increase short-term reported earnings.
