      • 사출성형 섬유강화플라스틱 볼트 연결부의 강도 평가를 위한 실험적 연구

        Resin Transfer Molding FRP (RTM FRP) is a fiber reinforced polymeric plastic which is manufactured by applying pressure to fibers, injecting resin into a mold, and then impregnating it. RTM FRP is a new construction material suitable for producing non-continuum structural elements such as sole plate because it has excellent strength and can produce many members in a short time. In this study, experiments were conducted to estimate the capacity of the bolted connection of RTM FRP. First, a tensile test was conducted to confirm the mechanical properties such as the tensile strength of the RTM FRP to be used for the bolted connection experiments. In addition, experiments were conducted on the bolted connection with the thickness of the RTM FRP and the edge distance of the bolt as variables. In the first experiment, F4.8 bolts were used, and shear failure of the bolt occurred before the RTM FRPs were failed. The F4.8 bolt is a general structural bolts used for the sole plate of a bridge bearing, and it was confirmed that the RTM FRP has a higher bold bearing strength than the shear strength of a F4.8 bolt. In the second experiment, G12.9 bolts were used, and shear failure of the bolt and bearing failure of the RTM FRP occurred simultaneously. In addition, as the thickness of the RTM FRP and the edge length of the bolt increased, the strength of the joint increased. When analogized with the bearing fracture equation of steel plate, the bolted connection of RTM FRP showed a bearing strength coefficient of 0.420 to 0.549 compared to the tensile strength, and it is considered that further research is needed.

        방향 모호성을 고려한 수중 음향 기반의 2차원 위치 추정 기술 개발

        Acoustic based localization is essential to operate autonomous robotic systems in underwater environment where the use of sensorial data is limited. This paper proposes a localization method using artificial underwater acoustic sources. The proposed method acquires directional angles of acoustic sources using time difference of arrivals of two hydrophones. For this purpose, a probabilistic approach is used for accurate estimation of the time delay. Then, Gaussian sum filter based SLAM technique is used to localize both acoustic sources and underwater vehicle. It is performed by using bearing of acoustic sources as measurement and inertial sensors as prediction model. The proposed method can handle directional ambiguity of time difference based source localization by generating Gaussian models corresponding to possible locations of both front and back sides. Through these processes, the proposed method can provide reliable localization method for underwater vehicles without any prior information of source locations. The performance of the proposed method is verified by experimental results conducted in a real sea environment.

      • Finite element analysis for dynamic behavior of a machine tool structure fed in open loop control

        In this study, a fmite element model was developed for analysis of feeding a structure in open loop control The finite element analysis (FEA) can simulate dynamic behavior of the structure of a machine tool rapidly traveling with a screw feeding driving system. The feeding mechanism was implemented with screw element of the FEA tool used in this study. The procedure was developed for the dynamic transient FEA. First, motion parameters such as jerk and velocity were introduced for the structure to be fed in open loop control When its traveling distance was determined, set-points for the distance were generated based on the motion parameters. The set-points were applied to the FE model constructed for the traveling structure. The FEA was executed and evaluated. In this study, the FEA procedure was applied to the column of a machine tool and the dynamic behavior of the column was evaluated. The FEA helps in evaluation of the motion characteristics of a structure. The convergence time of the structure vibration posterior to feeding termination can be estimated and the stiffness of the flexible structure is also evaluated against jerk, and acceleration. It provides the feeding force which is helpful in selection of the feeding motor.

        디지털 방사선영상 시스템의 기본적 원리

        Digital radiographic systems allow the implementation of a fully digital picture archiving and communication system (PACS), and provide the greater dynamic range of digital detectors with possible reduction of X-ray exposure to the patient. This article reviewed the basic physical principles of digital radiographic imaging system in dental clinics generally. Digital radiography can be divided into computed radiography (CR) and direct radiography (DR). CR systems acquire digital images using phosphor storage plates (PSP) with a separate image readout process. On the other hand, DR systems convert X-rays into electrical charges by means of a direct readout process. DR systems can be further divided into direct and indirect conversion systems depending on the type of X-ray conversion. While a direct conversion requires a photoconductor that converts X-ray photons into electrical charges directly, in an indirect conversion, lightsensitive sensors such as CCD or a flat-panel detector convert visible light, proportional to the incident X-ray energy by a scintillator, into electrical charges. Indirect conversion sensors using CCD or CMOS without lens-coupling are used in intraoral radiography. CR system using PSP is mainly used in extraoral radiographic system and a linear array CCD or CR sensors, in panoramic system. Currently, the digital radiographic system is an important subject in the dental field. Most studies reported that no significant difference in diagnostic performance was found between the digital and conventional systems. To accept advances in technology and utilize benefits provided by the systems, the continuous feedback between doctors and manufacturers is essential.

      • The Distribution and Feeding Guilds of the Polychaete Community in the West Coast off Kunsan, Korea

        The distribution pattern of macrobenthic polychaete worms and their feeding guild structures were investigated along the coastal region off Kunsan (southeastern Yellow Sea) during the winter season. The polychaete worms, the most dominant infauna, comprised 54 species in 30 families and showed their mean density of 300. indir./m$^2$). Dominant species in the study area were Stermaspis scutata, Lumbrineris cruzensis, Notomastus sp., Nephtys polybranchia, Praxillella affinis. Polychaeres were assigned to 12 feeding guilds and BMX (burrowing, motile, muscular pharynx) was the most dominant feeding guild (26%). Muddy sediments sustained more polychaete worms which showed burrowing (65%), motile (72%), and non-tentaculate strategies (92%), while sandy sediments contained more filter feeders (32%) and sessile (63%), and more tentaculate worms (49%). The sediment grain size was suggested to be the prime factor selecting the polychaete feeding guild.

        수상 부유식 태양광발전 구조물의 구조적 성능 평가

        최근 화석연료의 과도한 소비로 인해 다양한 환경문제가 발생하고 있으며, 이에 대한 대안으로 신재생에너지의 중요성과 그에 대한 시설의 수요가 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 이러한 수요를 만족하기 위하여, 다수의 태양광발전 구조물들이 건설, 계획되고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 태양광발전 시설들은 육지에 시공되고 있기 때문에 토지 이용에 따른 건설비의 증가와 토지 개간에 의한 추가적인 환경문제 등이 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 최근 국내에서는 FRP를 활용한 수상 부유식 태양광발전 구조물에 대한 연구를 지속적으로 수행하고 있다. FRP는 높은 강도와 내부식성 및 작은 단위중량 등의 장점을 가지고 있기 때문에 최근 토목분야에서 각광받고 있으며, 이러한 재료적 특성은 자중에 따라 부력체의 크기가 결정되는 수상 구조물에 특히 유용하다. 이 연구에서는 수상 부유식 태양광발전 구조물과 구조물을 구성하는 SMC FRP 수직재의 구조적 성능을 평가하기 위한 해석적, 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 수상 부유식 태양광발전 구조물은 유한요소해석을 통해 정적거동을 평가하고, 실험을 통해 동적거동을 평가하였다. 또한 SMC FRP 수직재는 유한요소해석을 통해 구조안전성 및 좌굴안정성을 평가하였으며, 실험을 통해 압축 및 인발 하중에 대한 구조적 거동 특성을 검토하였다. 검토 결과 펄트루젼 FRP (pultruded FRP)와 SMC (Sheet Modoling Compound) FRP로 구성된 구조시스템은 외부하중에 대한 안전성을 확보하고 있음을 확인하였다. In recent years, numerous environmental problems associated with the excessive use of fossil fuel are taking place. For an alternative energy resource, the importance of renewable energy and the demands of facilities to generate renewable energy are continuously rising. To satisfy such demands, a large number of photovoltaic energy generation structures are constructed and planned with large scale. However, because these facility zones are mostly constructed on land, some troubles are occurred such as rising of construction cost due to the cost of land use, environmental devastation, etc. To solve such problems, the floating type photovoltaic energy generation system using FRP members have been developed in Korea. FRP members are recently available in civil engineering applications due to many advantages such as high strength, corrosion resistance, light weight, etc. and they are suitable to fabricate the floating structures because of their material properties. In this study, the analytical and experimental investigations to evaluate the structural performance of floating PV generation structure and SMC FRP vertical member which is used to fabricate the structure were conducted. The static and dynamic performances of floating PV generation structure are evaluated through the FE analysis and the experiment, respectively. Moreover, the structural safety evaluation and buckling analysis of SMC FRP vertical compression member are also conducted by the FE analysis, and the structural behavior of SMC FRP member under compression and pullout is investigated by the experiments. From this study, it was found that the structural system composed of pultruded FRP and SMC FRP members are safe enough to resist externally applied loads.

      • 이력 자료를 활용한 GPS 교통정보의 효율적인 필터링 방법

        텔레매틱스 교통정보(해당 도로의 통과 시간이나 속도)를 제공하기 위해 교통자료를 수집하는 다양한 장비들이 존재하지만, 최근 GPS(Global Positioning System) 위성 신호가 민간에 공개된 이후 수신 기술의 발달과 더불어 교통 자료를 수집하는 수단으로써 많은 주목을 받고 있다. GPS를 사용하면 기존의 도로 상에 직접 매설하여 쓰이던 검지기에 비해 투자 유지비용이 낮고 차량 운행 축을 따라 지속적으로 세밀한 자료를 자동적으로 수집할 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 하지만, 기존의 타 검지기에 의해 수집된 자료에 적용해 온 교통 정보 필터링 기법들을 GPS 자료에 그대로 적용하기에는 여러 가지 제약사항이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 GPS로부터 수집되는 교통 자료 중 비정상적인 흐름으로 도로를 통과한 자료를 필터링하여 사용자들에게 보다 정확한 교통 정보를 제공할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 먼저 가까운 과거의 자료로부터 사분위수(quartile)와 해당 도로의 가중치에 의한 패턴을 구축하고, 이후 이를 실시간 자료에 적용해 비정상적인 자료를 필터링 해냄으로써 더욱 신뢰성 있는 교통정보를 생성할 수 있게 되는 것이다. 또한, 서울 강남대로를 대상으로 실제 GPS 수신기를 장착하고 운행한 차량들이 수집한 통행속도 자료를 바탕으로 이력 자료를 활용해 비정상적인 자료를 필터링한 대표 통행 속도가 기존의 필터링 방법들을 통한 값보다 더욱 정확한 결과를 보임을 증명하였다. For obtaining telematics traffic information(travel time or speed in an individual link), there are many kinds of devices to collect traffic data. Since the GPS satellite signals have been released to civil society, thank to the development of GPS technology, the GPS has become a very useful instrument for collecting traffic data. GPS can reduce the cost of installation and maintenance in contrast with existing traffic detectors which must be stationed on the ground. But. there are Problems when GPS data is applied to the existing filtering techniques used for analyzing the data collected by other detectors. This paper proposes a method to provide users with correct traffic information through filtering abnormal data caused by the unusual driving in collected data based on GPS. We have developed an algorithm that can be applied to real-time GPS data and create more reliable traffic information, by building patterns of past data and filtering abnormal data through selection of filtering areas using Quartile values. in order to verify the proposed algorithm, we experimented with actual traffic data that include probe cars equipped with a built-in GPS receiver which ran through Gangnam Street in Seoul. As a result of these experiments, it is shown that link travel speed data obtained from this algorithm is more accurate than those obtained by existing systems.

      • 光陽灣의 多毛類群集에 관한 硏究

        This study was conducted to interpret the relations between the polychaete community and its environments in Kwangyang Bay during July, 1982. The type of sediments in the study area varies from sand to clay and the organic content obtained by ignition was in the ranges of 0.3% to 15.4%. The polychaetes which occurred at 25 stations comprised 70 species representing 63 genera and had an average density of 490 animals/m$\^$2/. The most abundant species were Lagis bocki (20%), Lumbrineris longifolia (10%), Chohe teres (7%), and Sternaspis scutata (5%). The polychaete populations show the highest density in muddy sand sediments and have a tendency to decrease their abundance in finer sediments such as bud and clay. The individual numbers of each feeding type show the same tendency. Kwangyang Bay consists of three distinct characteristic communities, representing different physical and biological factors: delta community, muddy flat community and channel community. Delta community has very poor organisms and seems to be determined by physical factors such as tidal current, and by sediment conditions and seems to be determined by physical factors such as tidal current, and by sediment conditions and by the food availability. Muddy flat community shows more diverse and higher abundance than delta community but seems to be impoverished by the stress of oxygen deficiency in sediments. Channel community has the highest density in the study area and comprises more various feeding types. This is probably due to the supply of allochthonous materials from the Seomjin River and offshore as food, the heterogeneous sediments and some biological interactions within habitats.
