한글 시소러스의 구축 기준에 관한 연구

단일어 시소러스에 대한 대부분의 기본적인 기준은 ISO 2788:1986에서 정의하고 있으나 한글 시소러스라는 측면에서 이 기준을 보면 관계가 없거나 모호할 뿐만 아니라 규정되지 않은 점들을 발견할 수 있다. 왜냐하면 ISO의 기준은 로마자 사용 언어를 중심으로 작성된 것이며, 로마자 사용 언어와 우리말은 문자, 조어법, 맞춤법 및 언어관습에서 크게 다르기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 한글 시소러스의 측면에서 기존의 기준 및 시소러스의 내용을 분석하여 재고되어야 할 요소를 선정하고 선정된 요소에 대하여 그 범위와 처리방법에 대한 새로운 기준을 설정하거나 기존 기준을 보완하고자 하였다. 또한 제안한 기준안을 준용하여 한글 시소러스를 시험구축함으로써 기준안의 적용가능성을 시험하였다. 한글 시소러스의 시험구축을 위하여 한글 시소러스 관리시스템을 개발하였으며, 가능한 한 여러 분야의 용어를 포함시키려고 노력하였다. 제안내용에 따라 시소러스를 구축해본 결과, 제안한 기준안은 한글 시소러스를 구축하는 데 무리가 없음을 확인하였다. Despite that ISO2788:1986 defines the basic standards for monolingual thesaurus, for the Korean thesaurus construction, many elements remain irrelevant, vague and undetermined. This seems related to the fact that the ISO standards were constructed mainly based on Roman languages, which differ greatly from the Korean language in many aspects, including characters, word formation, correct spelling rules, and linguistic conventions. Through content analysis of the present standards, this study attempts to identify related elements necessary for constructing Korean thesaurus and to modify the existing standards including the scope and development/maintenance procedures about the identified elements. The applicability of the proposed guidelines is tested by a pilot construction of Korean thesaurus. In order to construct a pilot Korean thesaurus, a Korean thesaurus management system was developed and a large amount of terms from various areas were entered. The result of the test suggests that the proposed guidelines have no problem for constructing a Korean thesaurus.

시소러스 標準開發에 대한 硏究

현재 국내에는 한글 시소러스 구축을 위한 지침이 마련되어 있지 않다. 우리말 시소러스 구축에 관한 표준화된 지침이 마련되면, 지금까지 시소러스 개발을 위해 각 단위기관이 독립적으로 수행하던 개별규칙을 통합하는 결과를 가져오게 되며, 개별 시소러스를 통합하는 매크로시소러스 구축에도 활용할 수 있게 된다. 본 연구의 내용은 용어선정에 대한 사항과도 관련이 있으나, 특히 개념간의 관계를 정의하고 표시 하는 방법이 중점이 된다. 색인어의 선정과 관련하여 용어의 형태, 용어의 선택, 동형이의어, 용어의 표기, 범위주기와 정의, 복합어 등을 다루고 있다. 개념간의 관계를 정의하고 표시하는 방법과 관련해서는, 관계 지시기호, 각종 관계 (등가, 계층, 관련관계 및 기타관계), 시소러스의 배열과 표시 등을 다루었다. A thesaurus is the controlled vocabulary of an indexing language designed for postcoordination. The need to control the formation and use of terms for indexing stems mainly from two basic features of natural language, namely synonymy and polysemy or homography. Research has shown that controlled vocabularies improve both recall and precision in searching. They increase recall by retrieving documents that employ different terms for the same concept and they improve precision by defining the scope of terms. It is important to note that thesauri are not limited to systems that apply vocabulary control at the indexing stage. Thesauri may also be helpful to the user searching natural language databases. The value of thesauri is currently recognized by researchers in knowledge engineering and hypertext. A thesaurus based on a natural language has not conceptual and structural equivalences with the thesaurus that is expressed in terms selected from another natural language. This study deals with the guidelines of Hangul thesaurus for the purpose of translation, consistency, relationship and retrieval.

도서관(圖書館) 업무(業務)에 대한 바코드 시스템의 응용(應用)

성공적(成功的)인 바코드시스템을 구축(構築)하기 위해서는 바코드심볼, 미디어, 프린터, 오퍼레이터, 스캐너, 디코더 등에 대한 면밀한 검토가 선행되어야 한다. 본교(本橋)에서는 바코드시스템 구성요소(構成要素)의 종류(種類), 특징(特徵), 평가(評價), 선택기준(選擇基準) 등과 바코드의 적용방법(適用方法)에 관하여 도서관업무(圖書館業務)를 중심(中心)으로 고찰(考察)하였다. To design and implement a barcode system in the process of library automation, a thorough understanding of the elements of a barcode system is essential. This paper is to provide the basic features of barcoding along with discussions of the selection criteria of the symbology, media, printer, operator, scanner, decorder and a methodology of library's approach.

하이텔 메뉴검색용 시소러스의 개발에 관한 연구

정보검색시스템의 성능을 향상시키고 정보검색의 효율성을 높이는 데 활용할 지식베이스로서의 한글시소러스 개발알고리즘을 제시하고, 이 방법에 의한 실체개발사례를 제시한다. 본 연구를 위하여 개발된 시소러스 구축시스템의 기능과 함께 용어의 수집, 분류, 관계의 정의 등의 구축과정에서 사용한 하이텔 메뉴, 용어사전의 이용방법등에 대하여 논한다. We present development results for a Hangul thesaurus which was provided to improve performance of the intelligent information retrieval system. The important stages and methods in the process of term acquisition, classification, creation of the consistency-effectiveness relationship using HiTEL menu and text of dictionary are described. To cany out our study we have built a thesaurus management system and also describe its utility functions.

정보처리 행위의 궁극적인 목표는 정보 자체를 얻기 위함이다. 지금까지의 정보처리는 원문을 얻을 수 있는 실마리, 즉 존재여부와 소재지시를 제공하는 것이었으며, 이 실마리를 이용하여 정보요구자 자신이 원문을 입수하는 것이 대부분이었다. 그러나 최근의 컴퓨터를 이용한 데이터처리기술의 발전으로 텍스트, 영화상, 소리 등까지 全文을 디지털화하고 이를 이용할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 국가정보기반구조로서 각국이 구축하고 있는 초고속정보통신망을 통하여 원정보 자체를 이용할 수 있다는 확신을 갖게 됨으로써 산업, 사회, 정치, 문화, 개인생활 등 사회 전반에 걸친 급격한 변화를 가져오고 있다. 이 변화의 중심은 관련되는 원정보 자체를 축적하는 디지털도서관이 되며 디지털도서관의 종류와 발전형태에 따라 변화의 내용과 방향이 상당히 달라지게 될 것이다. 디지털도서관의 발전방향, 영향, 전망 등과 함께 정보화사회와의 관계에 대하여 논한다. The computer and network technology is likely to change various aspects of society by processing not just text, but image, sound and virtual effects through the informa-tion highway. The digital library is a library whose ultimate goal of information processing is largely stored and accessed the full-text electronic information through various digitized means. By providing access to distributed computing resources and remote information, the digital library can play an important role for communication in information society. While no final conclusions are drawn, several concepts provide a basis for considering developing trends, relationship and the impacts of the digital library on information society.

The authorized form is called the heading must be unique and consistent. Without both uniqueness and consistency, retrieval from the bibliographic database will not be optimal and in some cases may even be impossible. But the authority control is extremely expensive, because it is labour-intensive and dependent on professional investigation and judgement. In fact, it is by far the most expensive function in all of bibliographic control. The processes used to determine the form of access points, maintain, use, and evaluate very accurate authority records reduce the efficiency to generate or merge bibliographic items without modification from any national level bibliographic utilities as well as individual library. In this paper non-authority control system was suggested to solve the disadvantages of authority work. The apparent advantages of the non-authority control system are it is easy to determine the heading, input the bibliographic data, integrate the access points into an existing file, and generate and merge bibliographic data without modification. In addition, non-authority control system can be transmitted into online information retrieval system conducted with a mixture of controlled vocabularies and natural language
