A temperature compensation block was fabricated and evaluated to use in burst mode fiber optic modules which convert the electrical burst mode data to optical signal through laser diode. To obtain stable temperature compensation characteristics we used a microprocessor instead of a analog circuit block as the temperature compensation block . Lsmg this method we can get more effective controllability in alternative temperature changing and long time using condition.
The Fabrication of Polysilicon Self-Aligned Bipolar Transistor

A novel n-p-n bipolar transistor of which emitter is self-aligned with base contact by polyilicon is developed for using in high speed and high packing density LSI circuits. The emitter of this transistor is separated less than 0.4 \ulcorner with base contact by self-aligh technology, and the emitter feature size is less than 3x5 \ulcorner\ulcorner Because the active region of this transistor is not damaged through all the process, it has excellent electric properties. Using the n-p-n transistors by 3.0\ulcorner design rules, a NTL ring oscillator has 380 ps, a CML ring oscillator has 390ps, and a I\ulcorner ring oscillator has 5.6ns of per-gate minimum propagation delay time.
버스트 모드 광송신기의 디지털 방식에 의한 온도보상에 관한 연구

레이저 다이오드를 사용하여 전기신호를 광신호로 변환해 주는 버스트 모드 광송신기용 온도보상 방식에 대하여 연구하였다. 기존 실시간 아날로그 방식의 온도보상 방법에 비해, 본 연구에서는 마이크로프로세서를 사용하여 디지털 방식으로 신호를 샘플링 처리함으로써 고속 버스트 모드 광신호를 효과적으로 처리할 수 있도록 하였다. 온도보상을 위한 디지털 자동전력조절방식은 아날로그 방식에 비해 보다 정확하고 효율적이다. 따라서 이 방식은 앞으로 개발된 Gb/s 이상의 고속 버스트 광신호처리에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 본다. In this paper, we have studied temperature compensation architecture for a bust mode optical transmitter to convert the electric burst mode date signal to a optical one through the laser diode. In order to get stable high speed data transmission, we used digital sampling technique with a microprocessor for the temperature compensation of the laser diode, not the previous real time analog technique. Though the digital automatic power control circuit should be complemented the previous analog one with accuracy and effectiveness. So the digital technique will be more effective in further future in development for the over Gb/s transmitting speed.

A novel efficient group dimming technique is presented. This technique can be applied not only group dimming control of fluorescent or LED lights but also group control of other electrical equipments like heater or motor systems. Some simple technique was used for group dimming control of lamps instead of using communication. To transport control signal for group dimming of lighting system from switch to lamps near 0 crossing point(0~±16V) of AC 220V power signal was transformed to special shape.

This paper presents the bust mode optical transmitter to make the electric burst mode date signal transfer to a optical signal through the laser diode. Moreover, making the test board to be used the AVR megal28 processor, not the previous analog method in order to the stable data transmission of the laser diode, we have transferred the minute electric current to be drained from the monitor photo diode to the analog-digital converter so that we have designed the auto power control circuit and produced it to measure the feature for the purpose of a rise in surrounding temperature and the use in a long period of time. In this paper, the method of the bust mode optical transmitter can be the technical basis for the chip development in the optical multiple connection network in future. Though the digital auto power control circuit should be complemented with accuracy and minuteness compared to the previous analog auto power control circuit, the use of the digital circuit will be more effective in further future with the development for the transmitting speed.
