Objectives : The aim of this study was to observe the effect of needle-embedding combined with oriental medical treatment therapy on hemifacial spasm. Methods : 2 patients were treated with needle-embedding therapy with oriental medical treatment. After treatment, we evaluated the effect by Scott’s scale. And we checked the satisfaction degree and side effect. Results : After treatment, the grade of spasm classified by Scott’s scale was decreased and hemifacial spasm was visibly improved. Conclusions : This study showed that needle-embedding therapy with oriental medical treatment was effective to improve hemifacial spasm.

심리유형별 진료도구를 이용한 한방치료의 만족도 평가 연구

Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate patient satisfaction of Korean medicine therapy using treatment tool by psychological type. Methods : 48 subjects were participated in this study. Before a treatment, we analyzed a patient’s phychological type first by using a questionnaire. And then we divided 3 groups which were called a rational sympathy module group, emotional sympathy module group, control group. Manner of medical consultation according to patient’s phychological type was carried out in all groups. After all treatment, we conducted a survey about medical service perception index, patient happiness index, medical satisfaction index. To evaluate a satisfaction degree, we analyzed results of survey statistically. Results : The results of the analysis, both rational sympathy module group and emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than control group statistical significantly on medical service perception index. Emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than control group statistical significantly on patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. But rational sympathy module grouponly had a higher tendency than control group on patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index.Emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than rational sympathy module group on medical service perception index, patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. Conclusions : Korean medicine therapy using treatment tool by psychological type consisted of patient’s phychological type questionnaire and manner of medical consultation could improve a patient’s satisfaction. It was more effective in emotional sympathy module group than rational sympathy module group.

A Study on Erasing Discharge of AC-PDP using V-Q Lissajous' Figure

In this paper, we study plasma discharge characteristics with direct current measuremen Lissajous' figure when AC-PDP is driven with only sustain voltage. Through above st measure the erasing discharge and its effects using Lissajous' figure. As a result of experiment, we can confirm the erasing discharge at the Lissajous' figure the wall voltage drop using V-Q Lissajous' figure. Through this works, we can know that discharge itself has an influence on next discharge and results in influencing on. firi discharge current.

봉약침의 임상 응용에 대한 체계적 문헌 고찰

Objectives : The purpose of this systematic review was to overview and evaluate the current state of the usage of bee venom acupuncture. Methods : We collected 173 articles on bee venom acupuncture(BVA) clinical study from eight electronic databases from January 2002 to June 2013. Results : BVA was used in musculoskeletal diseases for 66 %, and the chosen acupoints were various. The ratio of the reports which had collected below 10 cases was 43 %. The concomitant treatment and evaluation tools showed diversity in each article. Conclusions : Bee venom clinical study shows the lack of unity and consistent regulation, and has low clinical cases. Future studies should correct these limits and promote more varied research to develop the therapy of bee venom acupuncture.

어깨관절통을 주소로 한 베체트병 환자의 매선요법과 침치료 병행효과: 증례보고

Objectives : The object of this study is to observe the effect of needle-embedding and acupuncture therapy on shoulder pain in Behcet disease. Methods : Needle-embedding therapy and acupuncture therapy was used to treat shoulder pain. We evaluated the patient through visual analog scale(VAS) and shoulder range of movement(ROM). Results : After weekly four times of needle-embedding therapy and daily acupuncture therapy, patient’s VAS was decreased to 4 and ROM of shoulder was also improved. Conclusions : Needle-embedding and acupuncture therapy could be effective to decrease shoulder pain and improve movement of shoulder in Behcet disease patient.

비전형적 Miller-Fisher 증후군 1례

Objectives : This study is designed to investigate the effect of oriental medical therapy on a 10 year old male patient had atypical Miller-Fisher syndrome with ophthalmoplegia and ptosis. Methods : We experienced a case of atypical Miller-Fisher syndrome and treated with acupuncture treatment, electro-acupuncture therapy, herbal medicine. The effect of treatment were evaluated with pictures of palpebra and eyeball movement. Results : After oriental medical treatment, ophthalmoplegia and ptosis was improved. Conclusion : Acupuncture, electro-acupuncture therapy and herbal medication is promising treatment for atypical Miller-Fisher syndrome with ophthalmoplegia and ptosis.

한방의료 품질 향상을 위한 신뢰구현 체계구축 연구

Objectives : This study was designed to establish medical trust realization system by finding factors influential to it using questionnaire. Methods : 277 subjects were participated in this study. After a treatment, we conducted a survey from April 1st to October 31th about medical service perception index, medical trust index, patient satisfaction index, patient reliability index, patient flow degree index, recall intension index, and hospital image index. To evaluate the influence of medical service perception with other 6 indexes, we statistically made regression analysis of the results through the survey. Results : By the results of the analysis, evaluation of hospital image influenced all 6 indexes. The systemicity of treatment process had an effect on 5 indexes except for the flow degree of patients. The humanity of medical team brought out the estimation of 4 indexes except for the patient flow degree and hospital image. The empathic ability of doctor and appropriacy of medical costs hold the next rank influencing 3 indexes. It reached the conclusion that the systemicity of medical team tend to determine the medical trust and patient reliability. The expertise, professional skill of doctor, the fault, commercial application, fame of medical team, the speed of treatment process, the newest and clean medical facility affected each one index. Conclusions : Korean medicine should find a way to consider the mind of patients for improving the medical quality through trust realization system, keeping up with times. As a result of this research, we can find out important causes which influence the trustful medical system. From now on, we should apply this result to actual treatment of psychology customized system. Also, more simple and clear questionnaire was organized through this research, it can be used to forward research to apprehend patient mentality more conveniently.

척추질환에 도침치료를 포함한 한방복합치료 치험 5례

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the improvement in patients with lumbar, cervical or radiating pain to the extremity by means of acupotomy. Methods : We treated 5 patients who have a disease related with lumbar or cervical spine with acupotomy combined with oriental medical treatment. We checked numeric rating scale(NRS), oswestry low back pain disability index(ODI) or neck disability index(NDI), and range of motion(ROM). Results : NRS and ODI/NDI were decreased, and ROM improved at all cases. Conclusions : This study shows acupotomy has a meaningful effect when applied on lumbar and cervical spine.
