        FOFIS: 산불 정보 시스템

        The main purpose of this paper is to design and implement forest fire information system (FOFIS) for effective prevention of forest fire using GIS, database, 3-D graphics, and simulation techniques. In contrast to conventional fire information systems that are mostly based on the 2-D graphics and analytic modeling approaches, we have proposed the cell-based modeling approaches, i.e., spatial, data, and simulation modeling approaches. The cell-based spatial modeling is proposed by eliminating the cliff effect of the typical elevation model so that it can provide realistic 3-D graphics of the forest fire. The cell-based data modeling of geography, meteorology, and forestry information is also proposed. The cell-based dynamic modeling for forecasting of the fire diffusion is developed using the variable structure modeling techniques. Several simulation tests of FOFIS performed on a sample forest area of Chungdo, Kyungsangbukdo will demonstrate our approaches.

        에이전트 기반의 인간 미개입형 함정전투 M&S 시스템 설계 및 서해교전 사례연구

        Most battleship warfare M&S systems run relatively slow and the simulation results are often unfair since the system should interact with human operators(controller and/or gamer). To deal with these problems, we have proposed the agent-based battleship warfare M&S system which interact with multiple agent systems instead of human operators. Agent-based M&S system may be able to efficiently support the analysis of effectiveness and/or the operational tactics development of given warfare by providing autonomous reasoning capabilities without the intervention of human controller. To do this, the paper propose the design concept and methodology using the advanced modeling and simulation framework as well as autonomous agent design principle. Several simulation tests performed on the battleship warfare case study on Korea Yellow sea will illustrate our techniques. 대부분의 함정 전투체계의 교전 시뮬레이션은 필수적으로 운용자(통제관 및 대항군)가 포함될 수밖에 없음으로 인해 시뮬레이션은 실시간 정도의 저속이며, 시뮬레이션 결과도 객관적인 평가가 어렵다. 이러한 문제를 다루기 위해 본 논문에서는 인간 대신 다중 에이전트 시스템을 이용하는 에이전트 기반의 함정전투 M&S 시스템을 제안한다. 에이전트기반 M&S 시스템은 인간의 개입을 배제하고 자율적 추론기능을 제공함으로써 전투체계의 효과도 분석 및 운용전술개발 등께 대한 효과적인 지원을 가능하게 해준다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위하여 첨단 M&S 프레임워크와 자율 에이전트 설계 원칙을 도입함으로써 인간 미개입형 M&S 시스템 설계 개념과 방법론을 제시하였고, 서해교전상의 함정전투 사례연구를 통해 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

        캠퍼스 네트워크의 구성 및 성능분석 자동화 방법론

        This paper presents an automated methodology for campus network design and performance analysis using the rule-based SES and DEVS modeling & simulation techniques. Proposed methodology for structural design and performance analysis can be utilized not only in the early stage of network design for selecting configurable candidate from all possible design alternatives, but also in simulation verification for generating performance data. Our approach supercedes conventional methodologies in that, first, it can support the configuration automation by utilizing the knowledge of design expert ; second, it can provide the simulation-based performance evaluation ; third, it is established on the basis of the well-formalized framework so that it can support a hierarchical and modular system design. Several simulation tests performed on a campus network example will illustrate our technique.

        기호적 시뮬레이션을 이용한 심층추론 방법론

        Deep reasoning procedures are model-based, inferring single or multiple causes and/or timing relations from the knowledge of behavior of component models and their causal structure. The overall goal of this paper is to develop an automated deep reasoning methodology that exploits deep knowledge of structure and behavior of a system. We have proceeded by building a software environment that uses such knowledge to reason from advanced symbolic simulation techniques introduced by Chi and Zeigler. Such reasoning system has been implemented and tested on several examples in the domain of performance evaluation, and event-based control.

        피보호자 모니터링 시스템을 위한 환경음 기반 상황 인식

        본 논문에서는 모바일 기반의 피보호자 모니터링 시스템 적용을 위한 환경음 기반의 상황 인식 기술을 소개한다. 상황 인식 실험을 위해 총 7가지의 음향 환경으로 나누어 환경음을 취득한다. 환경음 인식 성능 비교를 위해 MFCC와 LPCC 특징 추출 기법을 이용한다. 통계적 기반의 패턴인식 기법을 적용하기 위해 GMM 및 HMM 음향 모델을 기반으로 인식기를 설계한다. 인식 실험 결과에서는 LPCC 특징 추출 기법이 MFCC 기법 보다 우수하고, 음향 모델은 HMM이 GMM에 비해 높은 인식 성능을 나타낸다. LPCC 특징을 사용하고 HMM 모델을 채용함으로써 최고 96.03%의 인식률을 나타낸다. 이와 같은 결과는 음성에 비하여 다양한 주파수 성분이 존재하는 환경음을 표현하는데 MFCC 보다는 LPCC가 효과적임을 나타내며, 시간에 따라 변하는 특성을 갖는 환경음은 GMM 보다 HMM이 효과적임을 입증한다. This paper presents a context recognition method using environmental sound signals, which is applied to a mobile-based client monitoring system. Seven acoustic contexts are defined and the corresponding environmental sound signals are obtained for the experiments. To evaluate the performance of the context recognition, MFCC and LPCC method are employed as feature extraction, and statistical pattern recognition method are used employing GMM and HMM as acoustic models, The experimental results show that LPCC and HMM are more effective at improving context recognition accuracy compared to MFCC and GMM respectively. The recognition system using LPCC and HMM obtains 96.03% in recognition accuracy. These results demonstrate that LPCC is effective to represent environmental sounds which contain more various frequency components compared to human speech. They also prove that HMM is more effective to model the time-varying environmental sounds compared to GMM.

        사기의 기술: 로버트 그린의 불한당 팸플릿과 일탈의 미학

        Rogue pamphlets which became popular in early modern England scrutinize the criminal underworld growing along with economic expansion in London. The popularity of the rouge pamphlets shows that they kept exciting people’s curiosity about the threatening underworld by marketing public fear of crime. The criticism of the pamphlets has thus revolved around whether the depicted criminal world is real or fictional. Reading the rogue pamphlets as creative non-fictions, this paper, however, focuses on the pamphlets’ social satire that explores the analogy between the market economy and the criminal world and transgressive aesthetics of the pamphlets as a literary form. In particular, Robert Greene’s A Disputation between a Hee Cony-catcher and a She Cony-catcher can be read as a literary work that dramatically represents cony-catchers and whores. A dialogue between a male cony-catcher and a whore shows that criminals are professional workers rather than lazy bodies living off the sweat of others. Above all, Greene represents whores as transgressive yet autonomous subjects, who challenge patriarchal gender norms and actively engage in business with their wits and beauty. Green’s characters criticize the bleak society in which those who cannot dissemble cannot live and at the same time provide theatrical pleasures by their dynamic performativity in dissembling. Readers can enjoy the world of cony-catching, secure in the knowledge of a safe distance between the representation and the reality. Greene does not sacrifice humor and dramatic energy for a moral lesson and a social warning, and this is why his pamphlets fascinate readers.

        “사랑의 이상한 효과”: 릴리의 『엔디미온』과 사랑의 담론들

        John Lyly’s Endymion is recognized for its portrayal of the Neoplatonic ideals of love and beauty, with Cynthia, the moon goddess and earthly queen, celebrated in a Petrarchan convention. Amidst the exploration of love versus friendship and lust versus contemplative affection, characters comprehend human mortality and the ironic value of constant inconstancy Cynthia represents. While the play is often viewed as a political allegory of Elizabeth I and her court, this paper shifts focus to the gendered discourses of love and friendship. Women are depicted as hypocritical, lustful, and morally unstable. Endymion conceals his love for Tellus while desiring Cynthia; Cynthia harshly judges Tellus and Semele, reflecting patriarchal gender norms. Eumenides, epitomizing true love, prioritizes male friendship over love, perpetuating a gender-biased view that positions friendship and love as conflicting values. Consequently, Lyly’s exploration of true love is hindered by misogynistic ideals inherent in masculine discourses of love and friendship.
