Quantification of Marker Compounds in Cirsium setidens Nakai by HPLC-DAD

An effective method of high performance liquidchromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) wasdeveloped for the simultaneous quantification of twomarker compounds, pectolinarin and pectolinarigenin, inCirsium setidens Nakai, a Korean wild herb. The twomarker compounds of C. setidens were separated on a C18column with a gradient system. The calibration curves ofthe two standard compounds exhibited good linearity (R2>0.9992). The limits of detection (LOD) values of pectolinarinand pectolinarigenin were 0.52 and 0.41 μg/mL, respectively,while their limits of quantification (LOQ) values were 1.57and 1.25 μg/mL, respectively. The relative standarddeviations (RSDs) of the data of the intra- and inter-dayexperiments were less than 1.65 and 2.78%, respectively. The results of the recovery test were 98.06-105.81% withan RSD value of 1.87-3.50%. In conclusion, the results ofvalidation showed that the proposed HPLC method wasuseful for the quantification of the two marker compoundsin C. setidens.

Automatic measurement system of the space charge distribution by a two-step deconvolution

The pulsed electro-acoustic method (PEA) is widely used both in laboratory for fundamental research and in industry for high-voltage direct current cable assessment and diagnosis. It is well known that the electrical stress in dielectrics can be influenced by space charges. In this study, we have modified and upgraded the PEA system for better resolution, safety, and measurement of the space charge distributions automatically in a solid dielectric during the application of various DC high voltages. We adapt the PCI extensions for instrumentation system with a DSO/DAQ system for automatic measurements. The system could be used to automatically measure the space charge distribution with higher accuracy under various applied DC voltages.

Prenatal sonographic diagnosis of a pericardial cyst

Pericardial cyst is defined as cystic lesion within the pericardial space. It`s incidence is known as 1 in 100,000 person 1 and only a few cases of prenatal diagnosis have been reported so far. Natural course of this lesion is usually benign, but rare complications such as rupture, cardiac tamponade, compression of adjacent structures may occure. We present a case of prenatally diagnosed pericardial cyst. A 32-year-old woman was referred to our hospital at 20 gestational weeks because of an isolated cyst in the right pericardial space. Ultrasonography showed 7.5 cm sized unilocular simple syst adjacent to the right ventricular wall within the pericardium. RV Ejection fraction was within normal range. As there was no detected blood flow within the structure by Color Doppler assessment, ventricular aneurysm was excluded. During follow-up, normal interval fetal growth was documented. Postnatall echocardiography demonstrated findings consistent with the suspected pericardial cyst. The infant and the mother were discharged in good health on post-operation day 5.

To extend quality medical care to a greater number of indivisuals, a more efficient strategy was needed to distribute information to primary care physicians. Therefore, a concept called virtual hospital was developed. Also, to process standard medical images DICOM offered the promise of exchangeability of medical images from different manufacturers and across heterogeneous systems. Medical professors needed a convenient way of providing feedback and monitoring students' progress. Networked Virtual Reality Medical Tutor (NVRMT) enabled the shared viewing and manipulation of 3-dimensional computer models. For the purpose of providing the basic concept of some medical informatics with someone concerned with it, this paper reviewed the concept of virtual hospital, DICOM standard for medical images, NVRMT visualizing the locations and functions of organs of human anatomy and physiology in 3-dimensional virtual reality.

‘통합체육 수업 이렇게’ 집필 경험에 관한 협력적 자문화기술지

이 연구는 ‘통합체육 수업 이렇게’의 집필 과정과 그 의미를 이해하기 위한 협력적 자문화기술지로 통합체육 수업 전문가 4인으로 구성된 우리는 집필 경험과 관련된 다양한 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 집필 경험의 과정은 첫째, 우리는 통합체육 관련 다양한 전문성을 바탕으로 집필의 목적과 방향을 설정하며 차별성과 효율성을 강조하였다. 둘째, 학생들의 출발점 진단 활동과 수준별 개별·모둠활동, 평가, 기록과 관련된 집필 지침과 준거틀을 마련하였다. 셋째, 성취기준과 실제 수업 사례를 근거로 장애 유형과 정도에 따르는 활동 내용의 계열성과 수용성을 고려하였다. 넷째, 현장 적용성 검증을 통해 자료의 타당성과 신뢰성을 확보하며 자료집을 완성하였다. 집필 경험 의미로는 첫째, 통합체육 수업을 이해하고 자신만의 확고한 철학이 정립되었다. 둘째, 통합체육 수업 전문성 함양 및 공유를 통해 효율적인 통합체육 수업 확산을 기대할 수 있었다.
