1979년 린버그(Linburg)와 콤스톡(Comstock)은 장무지굴곡건과 제2 심수지굴곡건 사이 비정상적인 해부학적 구조물의 연결로 인해 해당 수지의 독립적인 굴곡에 이상을 초래하는 병변을 보고하였다. 해당 소견은 기능적으로 섬세한 수지 사용이 필요한 경우 일상 생활에 불편감을 유발할 수 있어, 증상에 따라 수술적 치료가 추천되기도 한다. 본 저자들은 선천적인 무지와 인지의 동시 굴곡 증상에 대한 기능 개선을 원해 내원한 환자에게 수술적 치료를 시행하였으며 만족할 만한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 이러한 린버그-콤스톡 증후군에 대한 수술적 치료 보고는 국내에서는 드물어 본 저자들은 해당 환자를 토대로 경험한 바를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하고자 한다. In 1979, Linburg and Comstock reported a lesion that interfered with the independent flexion of the fingers due to an abnormal connection between the flexor pollicis longus and the tendon of the flexor digitorum profundus to the index finger. This entity can cause discomfort in daily life when functionally delicate finger use is required; therefore, surgical treatment is sometimes recommended depending on the symptoms. The authors performed surgical treatment for a patient who visited our outpatient clinic seeking functional improvement for congenital symptoms of simultaneous thumb and index finger flexion and obtained satisfactory results. Reports of surgical treatment for Linburg-Comstock syndrome are rare in Korea, so the authors report this experience, along with a review of the literature.
