디지털 기술 환경이 발달하면서 도시 공간에도 영향을 미치고 있다. 다양한 디지털 매체를 접목하여 새로운 특성을 지닌 도시공간으로 확장하기 위해서 미디어파사드가 이용되고 있다. 이러한 미디어파사드는 예술적인 면에서는 미디어아트로서 도서 환경적 관점에서는 도심의 랜드 마크까지 기능의 확장성을 이어가고 있다. 또한 단순한 정보 제공 형태에서 벗어나 도시의 시민과 커뮤니케이션 하는 인터랙션 방식의 미디어파사드가 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 실제 건자재로 쓰이는 투명전광유리를 이용하여 인터랙티브 미디어파사드 구현과 확장성에 대하여 연구한다. Development of digital technology is advancing to levels which influence the formation of city landscapes and spaces. The use of media facade is creating modernized city-spaces with contemporary application of various digital mediums. In this way, media facade functions as media-art in an artistic point of view, while also providing the means for buildings to become landmarks in a city-scape point of view. Going a step further, media facade using interaction is drawing a lot of attention as it enables communication with the city inhabitants instead of one-way contents provision. This paper will research such interactive media facade using transparent display glass currently being used as construction building material and its potential growth.
GPS 기반의 모바일 증강현실을 활용한 디지털 복원 연구 –서소문역사공원을 중심으로-

In the past, the Seosomun area had experienced historical moments, and is now transforming into a space to commemorate its history. Specifically, the four-way street outside Seosomun Gate in the Joseon Dynasty was the execution site where criminals were executed, and many Catholics shed their blood of martyrdom. Seosomun Park was built to commemorate the martyrs from the monumental point of view. This paper studies mobile based Augmented Reality works that can interact with citizens in Seosomun Park having historical significance. There are two main ways to implement the works. Citizens can augment a cathedral building in Seosomun Park, and discover incomplete pieces of a Catholic statue at a specific location provided based on GPS, and complete the work by touching the mobile screen. Citizens who visit Seosomun Park gain a deeper understanding of the historical space through direct interactions based on the mobile augmented reality beyond the visitor’s perspective. In addition, re-interpretation, re-production, and re-appropriation of the four-way intersection outside Seosomun are studied with the digital restoration research based on the mobile augmented reality.
VR 가상공간 기반의 무형문화재 재구성 및 활용에 관한 연구 - 고전 무용 삼고무(三鼓舞)의 디지털 재구축을 중심으로

It is difficult to preserve tangible cultural properties because they do not have a form as an object. Hence, it is not easy for the present generation to enjoy the cultural assets of the past because they are not preserved to maintain objectivity. Owing to this reason, a plan is required to preserve intangible cultural heritage with advanced technology and make it accessible to the public in a convenient manner. In this study, we attempt to maintain and preserve the cultural heritage of Samgomoo (a traditional Korean drum dance) as digital content, allowing the public to experience the resonance of the drum and the liveliness of the dance in a virtual space. We recorded users’ experiences of Samgomoo through VR devices, visualized the participant’s actions and examined the dance actions in both virtual and present spaces. The significance of this study is experimentation with new, popular approaches to enhance the traditional inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
